Devillia continued smirk wider and wider, stretching an otherwise perfect face to its maximum capacity. Mina was left to fathom the unfathomable. What kind of evil plan would involve her?
The Walkford Wife put her fingers together, twiddling them like the maniacal villain she was. "You see. If we just put you out of your misery, someone might trace your murder back to us. So instead, we're gonna let you go free, sweetheart!"
Mina's eyes widened. "You're gonna let me go free?"
"Yes..." the devil woman said. "We're going to strip you of your precious little friends. Your phone. Your identification. Everything. And we're gonna let you wander Business Park cold and alone this holiday season!"
Mina winced. That was bad enough, but she knew Devillia wasn't done yet. "Then for causing unimaginable grievance to my poor hubby bubby we're going to sue you for breaking and entering. And with our personally appointed court prosecutor, it will be a surefire win."
Mina cringed knowing where this was going. Tears started to roll down from her eyes. It was the truth, especially knowing how much she messed up.
Devillia took one of her nasty manicured fingers and pricked Mina's button with the sharpened nail. "And this poor little baby attorney is going to jaily. She will no longer be a threat to the Aura. All of our trusted members who were put away by you will be free and have places in the Business Park government!"

Mina wanted to plug her ears and run away, but she could not unhear or unsee the hard truth. Devillia was truly the most dastardly adversary she had ever met.
"Well..." Devillia said, with unblinking eyes in her skull. "Any questions on how you will meet your absolute demise???"
Mina glanced at her sorry looking friends. They had been restrained by the Aura all because of her. She looked at Raven shivering on the bed. She then faced Devillia even while her eyes were seeping tears and her nose was dripping mucus. "Devillia..." she said. "I will see to it personally that truth and justice wins in the end. That my friends are all set free. And you will pay the price for every person you hurt!"
Devillia continued to smirk. "That's nice sweetie. Keep dreaming and when the court day comes, I'll bake you one of my sweetest apple pies. Just a taste of sweet sugar before your bitter defeat and you're forced to eat beets and raw rhubarb for the rest of your life!"
Mina went to open her mouth one more time, but before she could, Devillia put her pointy finger up to Mina's lip, shushing her. "Please escort this very important guest out of my house for this very last time!" Devillia said, her voice becoming severe again. "Next time I see you, sweetie, you'll be in hell!"

The skull masked guards led Mina to the front gate and it closed behind her, keeping her from reaching her friends and Raven. She had truly screwed up this time and broken the law. Even if it has been in the day of justice, she had taken a risk that just didn't pull off and now she was left with nothing. Nobody and nothing. Even D. Vito has driven away into the night and she had no way to call a cab.
With the dropping temperature and a low morale, she brushed her tears away and walked into the night. She prayed deeply that someone...anyone could help her, but doubt loomed in her mind.
