"Grandma!" Blind shouted, thrusting a finger at Divine. "Why wasn't I called in today?"
"Huh huh huh," Legal Suit Larry chuckled, continuing to be persona of Lawvis. "Looks like someone's a little shook up!"
As William Justice stomped down the aisle, Mina looked just as bewildered as her dream boat. Without having eyes to betray pain, Blind's face was fixed in a furious grimace. "And..." he said. "Someone had the nerve to replace me with a cheap Elvis impersonator!"
Lawvis raised a pair of diamond studded shades to his face. "That's right, Blind. Long have I been in your shadow, but you're headed for the heartbreak hotel, especially now that I have your job, hot shot!"
"Correction..." a nasally voice shouted from behind them. "She has your job, Silly Willy! This weirdo was just a substitute prosecutor while I prepared a new face for your position."
Everyone spun on their heels to face the entrance.
It was the mayor, Ivor Ebony. He stood proudly with the likes of Ashley Ryan, dressed in an emerald colored pantsuit and a dirty blond lion maned hairdo. "That's right, Blind-As-A-Bat!" she sneered. "At long last, I am the top prosecutor..."
"Raven!" Blind stammered. "What's the meaning of this."
"Literally who are you talking about?" the mayor scoffed. "Did somebody let a large black crow in here? Nope. It's just me Ivor Ebony! And in order to ensure the new laws of this courthouse are enforced, I have employed someone well versed in them!"
"Oh my lawdy?!" Mina screamed. "New laws?!"
"Yep!" Ivor said. "Plenty of lawdy laws to go around! And after William "Blind" Justice here defended numerous criminals from the heinous and now defunct criminal organization, The Aura, I feel it is in order we bring some order here and replace him!"
"Excuse me?!" Divine Justice shouted, banging her gavel like she was smashing Ivor's head on the podium. "That's not how this works. My son is not a corrupt prosecutor. His clients were often rich and reputed people who turned out to be scoundrels and ne'er do'wells."

"And I made sure they went to prison!" Mina added. "So everything is right in the end!"
Ivor crossed his arms. "Now...I'm gonna look like the bad guy here when I say this, but someone has to: Mr. Blind Justice truly lived up to his name. He was blind to all of this tomfoolery! And that does certainly not promote perfect harmony in Business Park!"
"Ms. Ryan," Ivor said, turning to his partner in justice. "How is your eye sight?"
Snooty Ms. Ashley Ryan batted her large catlike eyes. "Last time I visited the eye doctor, he said my peepers were 2000/2000! I didn't even know that was physically possible, but the Ryan family is known for exceptionally high scores in everything they do!"
"That they are!" Ivor chuckled. "Now how about your memory. Do you remember what was at the bottom of Big Book O'Law, page 420 subsection 3...?"
Ashley closed her eyes, clearly visualizing her favorite tome in her mind. "That court of law should be administered in perfect harmony with what is written in this book!"
The new mayor narrowed his eyes and smirked. "Oops, I meant subsection 3 and a half!"
Ashley rolled her emerald eyes upwards and recited. "All court of law should be administered in perfect harmony with what is written in this book...and also by a very handsome mayor guy in his thirties..."
Mina shook her head. "I'm sorry, but what in the double huh?! Did you just add that in there yourself...Rav...I mean, Mr. Ebony?"
"Me Mayor!" Mr. Ebony said. "Me rules! Now, Mr. Tuxedo Blindfold, please hand over your badge! We can do this the easy way... or I can tickle it out of your hands until you scream uncle!"
Blind was silent. His hand slowly raised to cover his prosecutor's badge. He looked like he wanted nothing more than to backhand Mr. Ebony and potentially Ashley too.
Divine looked even angrier than Blind. And she had a hammer to knock both of those Interlopers out if she wanted to.
Legal Suit Larry rubbed his hands hungrily. He may not have gotten the new position but even he could see his rival prosecutor fail in a public humiliation.
The common folks in the audience watched intently. Blind had served them justly in his tenure as a prosecutor and some of them... Especially those of the younger female (and male) persuasion had a crush on him.
"Please don't do it, Willy," Mina whispered softly.
But her eyes opened wide in horror as Mr. Ebony leaned in close and whispered something in her darling Blind's ear.
He continued to hold his hand over his badge, but she saw he had removed it.
"It was a pleasure serving Business Park and the justice system," said Blind Justice, former prosecutor as he handed over his badge of honor.
