"But..." Harmony answered, "The reason I am here is to apologize for my Ebby's behavior!"
"She has so many pet names," Blind muttered to Mina. "She might need to put some up for adoption."
Mina tried not to giggle at her boyfriend's deadpan sarcasm and squeezed his hand to quiet him down. She really wanted to know what was going on with Raven.
Harmony pointed at the befuddled Chief whose face was half frozen from slowtox and half from utmost shock. "I understand my Ebby had an appointment with you, chief. In order to fix some of the cities infrastructure."
"Yes..." the chief answered. "I don't know what that is, but I was gonna sign some papers! But when I met with Rav...I mean, Ivor, he acted really strange and..."
"Say no more!" the mayors wife said, seeming to purposefully interrupt the chief. "Because I can explain this...you see..."
With an air of importance, Ivor's dainty wife rolled her eyes skyward with a self satisfied look on her face. "Behind every great man is an even greater woman who takes credit for his mishaps. "You see, when Ebby got home. I took his temperature and it was just as I suspected... It was a case of manic dehydration from being overheated!"
"What the huh?" Mina said, lifting her thick eyebrows. "In February???"
"You see," Harmony answered. "My Ebby works so hard that even in the dead of Californian winter, he is generating his own heat. For him, the job as a mayor is his lifeline and he has told me he will not rest until we live in a utopian society!"

For once, Mina actually agreed about how his wife profiled Raven. Raven may have been a total goofball but he always worked overtime on everything....even evil schemes like last year. (Though he has long since made it up to her.)
Mina nodded somewhat naturally, causing Harmony to beam with joy. "My Ebby is the ultimate civil servant and I'm glad you agree... attorney.."
Before Mina, the chief or Blind could utter another word. Harmony's E-Watch lit up. "Oh," she said suddenly. "Papa Bear is calling me. I've been nursing him back to health and he said that some more spoon-fed lentil soup would be 'soup-er'!"
Mina's eyes widened. The sheer punnery was indeed that of Raven too.
Harmony giggled like a girl half her age. "Well, it was nice meeting you three. Next time you see the mayor, he will be as good as new! Okay. Bye now. Toodles!"
The curious woman exited the office, leaving the three dumbfounded. Blind was the first to talk. "Well, she was a barrel full of butterflies and sugar."
Mina continued to look at the door where Harmony exited. "The one thing I don't get. Where the heck did Raven find such a loyal woman? Most of the women and men he dates are kind of...flings."
There was a look of hurt on the chief's smooth face. "Well except for you, chief!" Mina answered. "You might be the closest Raven ever came to domestic life! Normally, he can't sleep in one house for more than two days."
"Sadly," Blind said. "I don't think we're gonna get any answers today. We already committed to this Himbolake case..."
"Right," Mina smiled. "My favorite childhood heartthrob is in need of a good attorney and we can't let him down!"
"Especially...because..." Chief O'Law remarked with a smile on her face. "He is not only the biggest suspect in this case. But apparently, hundreds of tabloids have reported on his well known jilted hatred for the victim."
"Er..ummm..." Mina muttered. "Why does that make you so happy, chief?"
Chief Rita O'Law flashed a thumbs up along with a shining grin. "Because finally, I'm gonna get one over on you Hawkins! And I'll finally be able to buy that vintage Malibu Harley Police Dream Station!"
"Great..." Blind remarked. "More pointless plastic. At least it won't be for your face this time."
