When the couple entered the detention center, Ms. Cilan was nowhere to be found. Dustin Himbolake and his short bodyguard, however, seemed to be right where they had left them.
Dustin smiled winsomely at Mina. "Why must time and space interrupt us, my dear sweet attorney. And ugly police women too? I really wanted to make sure that you are my guardian angel attorney!"
Mina winced at the barbed insult towards the chief, but her eyes still shined brightly. "Don't worry. I'm here. And I will take your case."
She surveyed the room for any grouchy mana-jerks, but finding none, she returned Dustin's glance. "As long as your manager is okay with it?"
"Forget what she says!" Dustin exclaimed, thrusting a hand forward. "We approve of your position! My bodyguard and I?"
"What kind of position?" Mina asked.
There was a sly, come-hither glance in Himbolake's eyes. "Any position you want, babe."
Mina gasped before Blind angrily put his foot forward. "I'd prefer you end the innuendos, fop. Especially in front of my girlfriend."
Himbolake chuckled. "I wish someone would blindfold your ears, slick. But anyway, in this case, I'd like Miss Mina to have the position of my gorgeous attorney, crusading for my innocence!"
Mina did a happy dance in her heels, making sure not to trip over them. She was so happy to be fighting for he rights of her favorite member of N-Snare. "Great great great!" she sang. "And luckily, I'm already thinking of the jealous haters who would like to ensnare you in a murder plot!"

"Exactly!" Dustin remarked. "I'd accuse every man on this planet of framing me!"
"Every man?" Mina said, pursing her lips. "But why?"
"Because they ain't me, shorty!" Himbolake guffawed.
Blind raised his eyebrows above his blindfold. "Not only is that absolutely vain, you shouldn't be calling my girlfriend shorty. Especially in the presence of a short man!"
Chives the bodyguard nodded. "Do not worry, sirs. I am used to the insults. I get paid by then and my wage is quite high."
Mina shook her head. "No..." she said. "I have a better suspect than all the men on the planet. Someone who I have already used my Extra Accessory Perception to sense has a grudge against you...and me!"
"Oh really?" Himbolake asked. "Who?"
Mina thrusted a finger forward straight at Himbolake. "Ms. Penny Cilan herself. Not only did she not want me to be your attorney, but she also seems to despise her job managing you. Some girls just can't handle the pressure of managing a handsome heart-throb who knows he is such!"
Himbolake put his hand to his chin. A smile appeared on his face. "Come to think of it, Penny was acting quite suspicious right now. In fact, she said she had some business to attend to at the Business Park Play Dome!"
Mina grimaced. "The scene of the crime...That's mighty mighty sus and a half. I'm definitely getting some strong vibes that's where we should go next. Especially if she is going to be meddlesome and possibly meddle with the crime scene!"
Himbolake crossed his arms and grinned with a debonair smile. "Not only you are a dime," he said, wiggling his eyebrows. "But a master detective. I'll leave you to it, for I have other business to attend to!"
"Do you?" Blind asked, suspiciously.
Himbolake puckered his shiny lips. "Yes I do, slick. I still haven't found the winner of my Powerlips lottery and I can't keep the winner waiting."
"Oh right," Mina said, her eyes looking skyward. She had nearly blocked out the cabal of teenage girls who had bashed her and Blind with their vinyl records.
"I hope you find the lucky victor!" Mina said, a sheepish grin on her face.
"As do I!" Himbolake said flicking finger guns at Mina. "I truly have lips that kill!"
Mina and Blind walked away from the detention center as fast as they could. While Himbolake would be busy smooching, they'd be busy sleuthing.
