Volume 6.5 Chapter 82: What Do We Do Now?
"Why are they chasing that?"
"It's like gold for the hornets. They can't help but want it. It's one of the reasons why they attacked the bees." Keith's eyes widened in realization. This was a game-changer, and he was determined to exploit it.
Keith figured it out when he watched how a hornet attacked a bee. This was a game-changer: he was going to exploit this to his advantage.
"Half of them are gone now. The only thing we need to do now is to enter their nest." Half had chased after Aria. But there was also still a half here. There were more than 50.
"Got this." Keith grabbed something from his bag and tossed it onto the ground. When that happened, smoke exploded forth from the balls. That knocked out the hornets.
"That will buy us half an hour." Keith smiled as he quickly dashed in with Scarlet. As the two headed into the nest, the entire area was filled with cobwebs. While the two walked, they were filled with vigilance. Even now, she was slightly in disbelief. They entered an A-rank monster's nest.
"Take a deep breath."
"Hmm?"
"You're too tense. You're going to make a mistake." Keith didn't need to look at Scarlet to tell how afraid she was. Who could blame her? The number of dangers here was too many.
"How are you so unfazed by this? We're heading into a deep territory without any idea what will happen." Scarlet couldn't comprehend how calm this guy was.
"When you have gone through what I have, you tend to be calm about everything." A deep sigh came out of his mouth. There were many things he went through before coming here.
From fighting against Todd to fighting against the floor boss. There were too many trials he faced to get cold feet from this.
"..." What did you go through? It sounded Like Keith had gone through many trials to get to this point. He raised his shield,
"Remember how we fought the golem?"
"Mmhmm."
"It's going to be like that. I will be one aggroing the monster's attention while you fire your magic. In this situation, your fire magic has the highest burst power." He was counting on Scarlet's magic to burn those hornets whole.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
"Understood." Scarlet nodded as she prepared herself. The two entered the giant lair. In the center of it was a hunter-hornet's leader. It was twice the size of a regular hornet. It was only a bit smaller than Keith. Its eyes showed surprise before it roared!
"BZZZ!" The other hornets started to move at the two.
"Chant. I got this." With a slam of his feet, two earth walls raised from the ground. It was in the shape of a diamond, forcing the hornets to rush at him from the center.
Keith raised his shield, prepared to take those horns. Boom! The hornets slammed into it, wanting to push through. Yet, the man wasn't budging at all.
"Raghh!" Driving his feet to the ground, Keith swung his shield and blew those hornets away! Scarlet's eyes widened.
It worked. A grin formed on Keith's face as he stared at his fist. Gravity. He could apply gravity in different directions. By doing so, he was able to increase his power!
The hornets were shocked for a brief moment. Staring at Keith, the person was now a fierce beast. But that didn't stop them from charging at him. They raised their fangs, wanting to bite down. What they got in return was the cold taste of iron. Keith slammed his shield into the hornet's mouth, sending one flying.
A flurry of blows came, sending the hornets everywhere. Keith wasn't done as he continued to beat them up left and right until,
"Keith, pull back." "Mmhmm."
What came at those hornets was a blazing wall of fire. The hornets ignited! After a few seconds, what was left of them was only dust.
"Good job."
"Now you're the only one I need to deal with." Keith turned to the giant hornet. Now that all its minions were dead, it couldn't sit there. It finally made its move as it charged. He smashed Keith through the nest and into the wild!
"Keith!"
"Do you really think you can do something like that?" Keith knew what it was trying to pull. It wanted to bring him in front of its minions and force this into a numbers fight.
"But I'm not the only one fighting." A grin formed as the monster realized what occurred. There were a bunch of dragon bees fighting against the hornets! He didn't come into this battle without a thought.
He knew what he had to do.
An army against another army. That was the way it was supposed to go. The amount of dragon bees wasn't the same as the hunter hornets. But it was smooth sailing when half the forces had been taken away.
"Hah!" Keith slammed his sword into the hornet's head.
The hornet couldn't react as its head fell onto the ground.
"We did it." A deep sigh came from Keith's mouth as he stared at the defeated hornet. He looked up to see Scarlet. He placed a V to show that he was alright. Scarlet let out a sigh of relief when she saw that. This guy. Did he love to give people heart attacks or something?
"BZZZ!" Seeing how their leader was defeated, the hornets went into disarray! And the dragon bee didn't hesitate as they continued to attack. That caused the hornets to flee.
"Thank goodness we took them out." As Keith stared,
"Hoo."
"Good job, Aria." None of this would have happened if Aria hadn't pulled half their forces away from here.
"Hoo." Aria nudged her face onto his.
"Keith!" Scarlet exited the nest, "Umm, what are we supposed to do now?" Now that they had defeated the hornets, what came next?
