Volume 5 Chapter 57: Princess, Do You Want To Buy Some Fruit?!
"Hmm, hmmm." Keith started to set up his cart again. While he did that, he sighed. He tried his best to not notice it. However, it wasn't something he could ignore.
"Dennis, Skar, what are you guys doing?" Dennis and Skar stood beside his cart.
"We're here to stand guard." "Yeah! After what happened, you need at least some protection."
When Skar and the others heard about what happened, they were shocked. But soon following that shock was an unending fury! How could someone attack their safe haven!
That was asking for trouble!
"So this is why you guys are here," Keith chuckled, "You guys don't need to worry so much."
"No, you have to be more careful, Kid." Cedric shook his head, "People who tried to sneak attack you now won't stop with that one attack. They will do it again until you're done."
"..." Are you kidding me? Keith felt there was a lot wrong with what he said. There shouldn't be people like that...right?
"But I'm curious who would be crazy enough to attack you, Keith." Dennis rubbed his chin. That was on his mind.
"Some joker?" Skar added. That person had to be a clown to think he could attack Keith.
"It could be that elf," Cedric stated. The latest person who messed with Keith was that elf.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Understood! If that guy comes back, I will end him!" "Same!" They were ready to pummel the guy.
"Either way, it seems no one is attacking us now. There's no need to speculate." They didn't have enough information. Keith smiled as he started to cook for everyone. But as he did,
"Keith," Alfia called out to him. However,
"Hi, Alfia." Keith smiled. He turned to the customers, "You don't have to worry about her. She's a friend."
"Since the boss said so." The customers toned it down.
"What happened?" Alfia was befuddled. Why was she feeling all this bloodlust?
"Stuff happened yesterday. I will tell you about it later," It wasn't Alfia's fault.
"I see," Alfia nodded as she sat on a bench and watched Keith work. After some time, Keith started to pack up. As they head home,
"Why was everyone giving me the stink eye?" Alfia was still bewildered.
"There was a scuffle that happened yesterday," "A scuffle?!"
"Yeah. Some people dressed as guards and tried to destroy my cart. They even fired magic," Keith laughed. Saying it again sounded a little unbelievable. It was not a surprise the customers were vigilant.
"Who would do something like that?!" How could someone attack the cart?!
"I don't know either. However, people are suspecting it was an elf." Keith explained.
"Eh?"
"There was an elf who tried to buy all the stock I have. And he said he would get revenge."
"..."
"What's the matter?" Keith tilted his head. Alfia's expression changed.
"No, it's nothing." Alfia shook her head.
"Wait a minute, what is that?!" Before Keith could talk, he noticed something sparkling. And he quickly dashed over.
"..." How are you moving so fast with the cart?! He dragged a cart behind him, but he was just as fast!
"They look so delicious!" Keith marveled at the fruit in the stall.
He's such a kid. Alfia sighed as she watched Keith stare at the fruits. He was so different. His eyes glimmered like a child.
"Hey! Why are you here again, you brat!" But a sudden yell paused her staring. Keith looked up to see it was an elf.
"I told you before I won't sell to dirty humans like you!" The elf owner glared at Keith.
"I know, I know. Sheesh." This happened way too many times. He would get yelled at by the owner. The only thing Keith could do was to suck it up and return home. Or so he thought,
"How dare you talk to the customer like that!" The owner frowned, wondering who said something like that.
"What about-Princess!" That frown went upside down!
"Princess, do you want to buy some fruit?!" This was none other than the princess of the elves.
"Not from you!"
"..." Did he forget what he said to him?!
