Volume 6 Chapter 37: Bone General
Keith nodded, "If we take down the boss, we could return with the orb there." It happened once. Defeating that sheep monster caused an orb to appear. That allowed him to teleport in front of the dungeon. Rubbing his head,
I didn't want to do this. The original plan was only to head to the middle section of the 3rd floor. However, those adventurers had derailed everything.
"Won't it take longer to defeat the boss?" Faelyn frowned. Going back through the lower floors meant they would need to defeat weaker monsters. Keith shook his head, "Going down would be our best choice." Even if the monsters are weaker than them, they would have to deal with many. The distance was long compared to the others.
The group would have to deal with a bunch of floors.
"I see." Everyone nodded.
"Now, let's move!" Keith ordered. And the group started to head into a tunnel. It was a rinse-and-repeat cycle. But as they did,
"Let's catch ourselves a break," Keith stated calmly. But that caused Herrick to frown, "But we're going at a good pace." Keith decided to fight on the front lines as well. And that caused the entire formation to be more stable.
His skills and magic gave an extra push to the front lines. Keith shook his head, "We're ahead of schedule. And I want everyone to be rested before we go again."
Herrick looked at Keith's expression and understood.
"Sarah, Arlo, Jack. You guys need to eat something." Keith handed some meat over to the two.
"You guys have been going at it the hardest." Most of the fighting occurred on the right flank. To support them, Sarah had been using her healing spells many times.
"You two need to eat something as well." His words were directed at Carolyn and Alfia.

"We know." "Don't need you to tell me that." Like that, they started to eat as well. Keith smiled. Good, their heads are in the right space. He thought they would still be thinking about the adventurers. However, they were more focused on escaping.
"Alright, let's move!"
...
"Where are they?" Cadmus frowned. It has been a few days since Keith and the others left. But they have yet to return. Keith told them they would be returning in a day or two. But it was past that.
"Oh, Keith told me that he would be staying there for a few more days," Diana stated calmly.
"Eh? Why is he staying in the dungeon more?"
"They ran into some trouble and need to do some things before they can return."
"Come on!" Cadmus wanted to cry.
...
"We're here!" Keith and the rest stared at the giant door in front of them. He turned to everyone, "Everyone prepared?"
"Mmhmm!" The others nodded. They fought to get to this point. And it was time to end all of this. And when they did, they raised their weapons and stared at the monster ahead.
"What boss are we fighting against, Keith?"
"Bone General," Keith muttered. From soldier to knight and now a general. The general stood taller than the rest. The soldiers and knights had grey bones. However, the general had a pristine pearl-like shine to it.
"Isn't there a little too much?" Herrick muttered as he stared at the sight. A general would have his soldiers there as well. Rows of knights and soldiers were before him.
"If there was less, it wouldn't be called a boss floor."
"Melor and Herrick, guard all of us." Keith took out his sword, "I will deal with the general." With so many monsters in front of them, the best thing to do was to take out the leader.
"Gabriel, I will leave the decision-making up to you."
"Alright," Gabriel nodded. And like that, everyone got to work! Keith dashed at the bone general. But when he did that, the knights came in front of him. I see. To get to the leader, you need to deal with the scrubs.
The knights charged at him with their swords raised in the air. Need to be faster. It was nothing compared to what he faced. He kicked one of them away.
He dodged the other one and touched it,
"Burn!" A raging electricity blew the knights into smithereens. And there was nothing left between him and the general. Keith charged at the general. But the latter blocked him with its sword.
And it counterattacked as it swung its sword down on Keith's head. It was redirected with a simple tactic.
"Tch!" Keith shot lighting at it this time. But the general was swift as it dodged his attack. As Keith fought the monster,
"Keith! Watch out! The knights are heading your way!"
