Volume 6 Chapter 22: That’s Great

"!" "What's the matter with you, Keith?"

Ange noticed how Keith shivered. He shook his head, "Nothing. I just felt something off." His eyes widened as he grabbed his neck. He didn't know why, but he felt his neck was being wrung out. While he was lost in thought,

"Senior, I'm going to go now." Keith got up.

"Hmm? So soon?!" Keith wasn't helping Ange out with her work. It was a casual day. The two were talking about things while sipping on coffee. They hung out in Helen's cafe.

"I need to do some things before I return home." "I see. Then you have to be careful."

"Thank you," The place Keith headed to was the adventurer's guild.

"Madison, do you have any information on dungeons?

"Hmm? Are you going on another exploration?"

"Yep. I want to see if I can find anything interesting." Keith wanted to enter another dungeon again. It was exciting. And there were so many more around the city.

"I see." Hearing this, Madison looked through some folders before placing a stack of papers on the table.

"Here are the ones I think would be interesting."

Keith looked through them. I see. From what he saw, there were a lot of vegetables and such on there. Keith looked up to a smiling Madison,

"What's the matter, Keith?"

"Are you sure you want me to head into these dungeons?"

"These dungeons are right up your alley!"

"Madison," Keith asked in a calming voice, "Come to me straight. You want something from these dungeons, right?" There were specific vegetables that popped up on all of them. He could tell she really wanted that.

"They also want those vegetables as well!" Madison didn't hesitate to reveal.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

"Madison!" How could you sell us out like that?! The clerks couldn't help but gasp. This woman was throwing them under the bus!

"You guys kept forcing this on me!" Madison didn't want to do this. But the others kept asking her to do this.

"Hmm, if there's something interesting about it, I will add it to the menu." Keith smiled. The clerks paused when they heard that. Pure excitement appeared on their face.

"I'm going to look it over before I decide," Keith waved his hand and left the guild.

...

"I'm home!" Keith commented as he entered the mansion. However, when he did, he noticed everyone in the lobby. This was unusual since everyone wouldn't be there at the same time.

"Keith," Carolyn walked up to him. She had the tensest expression ever! Hmm? Before Keith could question, the woman grabbed his shoulders,

"Don't die."

"..." What do you mean "don't die?!" However, there was no need to question her because two people walked forward.

"Keith, I think we need to have a little talk." A smile was plastered on Alfia's face. Her voice was so sweet and deadly. Everyone ran to the second floor with the adults.

"Hmm? Talk about what?"

"About how you were the ones who made up the stupid cuff idea!" Alfia went straight to the issue.

"Oh, that. Yeah. I was the one who did it." Keith nodded.

"What? Why would you-" Alfia's words began to jumble up. The directness Keith had messed her up. She thought Keith would be frazzled.

"Let me do this, you idiot elf!" Herrick stepped up this time, "We want to know why you did that?!" Another straightforward question.

"Oh, that's because I thought it would help improve your teamwork," Keith answered.

"And you thought chaining us like that was a good way to do it?!"

"I had many other ways to do it. However, it was difficult to implement, so I had to use that one on the fly." There were many different options. But the cuff thing was quick and straightforward.

"Do you know how much we suffered?!" Herrick pointed at Keith! His voice was hesitant. At this point, Keith was winning in this battle of words.

"I understand. However, sometimes you have to suffer a bit to learn something. You and Alfia had the worst teamwork out of everyone here. I needed to take drastic measures. Don't you guys have a better understanding of one another after you wore it?" Keith tilted his head.

"Well, yeah. But-"

"That's great! As long as we work together, it will strengthen us!" Keith patted Herrick on the shoulders.

"Ah-"

"I should get started on dinner now." Keith hummed as he entered the kitchen.

"..." The two were left dumbstruck. They couldn't get a single word in to deal with Keith.

"I swear on my life, I bet he has this all planned out from the beginning," Cadmus muttered. This man had everything prepared, or he wouldn't act like this.

"..." Keith's reasoning was too sound for any counter arguments.

"What makes it worse is how he is so casual about it," Carolyn slapped her head.
