Volume 6.5 Chapter 59: You Two Need To Have A Talk
"Welcome back, you four. How was your training?" Keith smiled as he saw the four enter the mansion.
"It was great!" "Keith, you can use this if you want." Herrick quickly brought out the orcs they defeated.
"That's great. I will cook all of this for dinner."
Herrick and Melor grinned when they heard that. They were definitely going to have a feast. And the two were right; Keith had made a lot of food on the table. As they feasted,
"Here, Quill." Faelyn fed Quill some lettuce.
"Pii!" The hedgehog gladly took it and nibbled on the lettuce. As he did, Sarah grinned, "Awe, he's so adorable."
"Mmhmm!" "Pii!" Noticing the gaze Sarah had, Quill quickly jumped into Faelyn's shirt!
"..."
"Shouldn't have looked at him like that. You scared him." Before Jack could laugh, Sarah punched him in the stomach!
"Sorry about that. Quill is still shy around others." Keith and Faelyn. Those were the two people the hedgehog was used to. It would take some time for the others.
"I see," Sarah pouted as she could only stare in defeat.
"Here, Agi," Alfia was feeding Agi food. It was quite normal. While she did that, the wolf stared at them briefly before scoffing.
"..." Keith noticed it.
...
"Hmm? Faelyn isn't coming with us this time?" Alfia tilted her head. She was the only one waiting at the gate. Keith shook his head, "That's because she needs time to bond with Quill." There was no need for Keith to assist her; the only thing she had to do was to spend time with the hedgehog.

"...I see." It was like a giant anvil fell on her head. This was not even funny.
"We're going to head to the dungeon this time." Keith grinned.
"...Okay." Her expression brightened a bit as she followed him. The dungeon they went to was somewhere close to the city.
"Which one is this?" As the two headed down to the first floor, Alfia noticed many trees around.
"It's just a low-grade one. I have the feeling we're going to need it." Keith sighed, "Now summon your spirit out."
"...You mean Agi?"
"You know what I mean." Keith's eyes narrowed. There was only one spirit that needed to be called out.
"...Fine." Alfia sighed as she summoned her spirit. But the moment she did, the wolf darted to Keith!
"..." Alfia didn't know what to say. At this point, this was expected.
"Alright. You two need to have a chat with one another." Keith declared as he grabbed the wolf by the scruff.
"Eh?" "Woof?" Even the spirit was startled by his words.
"It's clear you guys have some issues with one another. You guys need to air it out." From how the two interacted, it seemed the wolf had some problems.
"?" The wolf tried to act cute as it clung to Keith's legs. But the man shook his head as he placed it before Alfia.
"Are there really problems?" Alfia locked eyes with the wolf. Now that Keith had said this, she wanted some answers. With how it had been acting, there had to be something.
"Woof," The wolf looked away and tried to move away. But Keith again grabbed the wolf by the scruff, "You're not leaving. Also, I will call Udine on you."
"..." The wolf made a blank expression. For some reason, it was submissive towards Udine. Probably because one was a great spirit while the other was middle.
"..."
"Can you please tell me?" The thought never occurred to her. What could the wolf be angry about?
"Woof!" The wolf started to howl.
"You protected me from Iston? How are you ashamed?" Alfia frowned. The wolf said it was ashamed of being unable to help her during the battle against Iston.
"Woof!"
"The first battle?" The spirit saw what Alfia had been going through and felt really guilty. As her spirit, it should be protecting her. That was why it didn't want to be near her; it was too ashamed and guilty.
"..." Alfia went silent, but she stroked the wolf's face, "I'm sorry I made you feel this way. As your contractor, I should have realized."
"Woof," The wolf licked Alfia's face, telling her it wasn't her fault.
Alfia hugged the wolf, "Thank you for always thinking about me. You don't have to be ashamed. You're my familiar."
"..." The wolf made some wimpers before licking the elf's face more. That caused Alfia to laugh, "Hey, that tickles." But her expression brightened up. The tension between the two had slowly dissipated.
