Volume 6 Chapter 60: Another Variant

"Senior, where are we going?" Sakura was the one who suggested to go to the place.

"I heard there are orcs a little further from here. That would be fine with you, right?"

"Mmhmm! I should do some restocking with orcs." Keith laughed. With Herrick and Melor together, plus Cadmus, his stock of orcs dwindled. And it wasn't only that. He also needed to restock a lot of other meat.

"Alright, then, let's go." Keith nodded as he followed Sakura. But when they were about to leave, "Are you going to hold back, Junior?"

"Hmm?" "You're wearing gravity bracelets." Sakura noticed the bracelets on his wrist.

"Haha," Keith scratched his head, "So you noticed it?"

"Of course, I'm a student as well." Did he forget? She added, "Your movements have been sluggish as well." Even if she didn't see it, she could tell something off about Keith. Something was restricting his movements.

"Alright, let's do this." Keith took off the bracelets. And like that, the two of them set off. But when they did,

She's able to keep up with me. Sakura was following his top speed. He wasn't holding anything back, and yet she could. However, that was the wrong way to say it. It was actually Keith who was losing against her! She was faster than him.

The two continued to move before they arrived deep in the forest.

"Let's go look around. They should be around here."

While Keith looked around, he was excited. He looked down at his new sword. How was it going to work? He really wanted to use it. The sword's design was different from a normal one.

Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.

It was a one-sided sword. There was no hilt; it was built as one piece.

"Keith, I sense some monsters a few meters away from us." Sakura looked to her left. Then, the two rushed over in that direction. When they did, they saw a bunch of orcs.

"These guys are perfect for testing out my new sword," Keith grinned as he held his handle. He turned to Sakura, "Senior, let's do this."

"Mmhmm!" Sakura quickly dashed forward with blink! Before the orcs could notice her, the woman drew her blade. One stroke from her sword demolished seven!

Keith wasn't standing still either as he waved his sword. One should be fine. He wanted to see how strong this is. The orc waved its club against his weapon.

The outcome was astounding. Keith's sword went through the club and through the body; the orc was sliced in half. What the?! Keith's eyes widened as he looked down at the sword.

"Junior, watch it!" Keith turned around to see an orc split in half. It had come from behind. However, Sakura came and blocked it.

"Thank you, Senior." Keith smiled. That's right, I can't be focused on that. There were monsters in front of him. The fighting continued for a few minutes.

"This sword is incredible!" Keith couldn't help but marvel at the sword. It was incredible. Its durability was much higher than that of the iron sword, but its sharpness was three times more than that of an iron sword.

When cutting an orc in half with an iron sword, Keith had to use some force. But when he used this sword, it went through easily.

"Is the weight affecting you?" Sakura questioned. Changing the weight of a sword would also affect its control. Keith shook his head,

"No, it's not affecting me. Actually, it feels nice." Keith had perfect control over his blade. It was only a small added weight, but he managed it.

"!" Sakura quickly shifted her attention.

"What's the matter?" "Something is coming our way."

Keith looked in the same direction. When he did, he knew what was coming their way. And when they looked at it, there was an orc. But it was much different from the others. Its skin was crimson, and its size was much more prominent.

"A variant." The two spoke at the same time.

"Keith, I will attack on one side while you do it on the next," Sakura told her plan.

"On it!" Keith quickly dashed to one side while Sakura the other. The two of them did it together.

And when the two attacked, the orc didn't even wait as it blocked the attacks.
