Volume 6.5 Chapter 58: I Hate You!

"Why did you guys come with us again?" Herrick groaned as he stared at the two. Right now, the four of them had entered a C-rank dungeon. But as they walked, there was a weird silence between the four.

It was weird. Last choice. That was something the beastman knew for sure. If Alfia and Faelyn had to choose between everyone to go with, he and Melor would be the last choice in their book. They just didn't mesh well as a group.

"Because we need to practice. Also, you two are the best choices for a team lineup."The two were their frontlines, while Alfia and Faelyn were backline. Despite their personality not meshing together, ability-wise, they made a complete team.

"I see." Herrick nodded with proudness. However, Alfia muttered, "But I would rather have Keith or Gabriel with us." Those two were more reliable. But Gabriel had something to do while Keith had to work with his cart.

"Hey!" Melor and Herrick glared.

"Come out, you two." Alfia summoned her spirits.

"Quill, you too." Faelyn didn't need to summon Quill as he popped out from her clothes. He was tiny enough to stay next to her.

"Ey! What's up!" "Woof!" The wolf walked over to Herrick and allowed him to pet her. Agi did the same, and he was okay with him here.

"..."

"What?" Alfia's stare was making his fur stand.

"I hate you." Alfia didn't hesitate to say it. That was one of the biggest pet peeves she had right now. Keith was one thing; it was brutal, but she had to accept the fact that her spirits liked him more than her.

But not Herrick.

This guy was an entirely different matter! How could he be so close with her spirits?! His relationship with Agi was better than hers! And she tried so hard to improve it! Is it because he has animal instincts?! Sometimes, Herrick acted more like a cat than a person.

"Eh? We've been working together for some time!" Herrick shrugged. The wolf and Agi had been working with Fira on watching over the plant with him. They became friends over that.

"You." Alfia continued to glare at him. Herrick shrugged as the group walked over to the monsters. What they saw was a group of orcs.

"Oh, we got some orc meat tonight." Melor and Herrick grinned.

"Let me make the first move." Faelyn stepped up as she turned to Quill, "Quill, can you make holes in the ground?"

"Pii!" Quill nodded as he jumped down. Slowly, the ground started to glow as it shook! Potholes began to form before the orcs, making them trip and fall.

"Agi! Use wind blades!" "Kwak!" Agi flew into the sky and fired off his wind blades at the monsters, shredding them in half.

"Leave us some fun!" Herrick and Melor charged in. They weren't going to stand here and miss out on the fun. This battle lasted a few minutes before the orcs were defeated.

"You guys finally got control over them?" Herrick stared at the two spirits. He knew about how Agi and the wolf didn't listen to Alfia's commands.

"No control over them. But we gained their trust." Faelyn stated as she patted Quill's head for the excellent work.

"Well, one of them isn't playing by the books." Alfia's eyes darted at the wolf. The wolf sat on a boulder, watching the fight throughout the fight. It had an uninterested look as she stared at the fight.

"....I don't think it hates you," Herrick muttered.

"How would you know?"

"Just a feeling, I guess."

"..." Alfia was silent before taking a deep sigh, "Let's keep going." Like that, the four continued to fight whatever monsters they could find. As they did,

"There's a lot in front of us." Alfia noticed the number of wolves in front of them. It was an absurd amount. Agi and Quill were throwing magic left and right, destroying all of them.

"Princess, watch out!" A wolf had come from their blind spot and targeted Alfia. Before the monster could attack,

"Woof!" Three water pikes slammed into the monster's body!

Alfia and the others turned to see Alfia's spirit glared. It had made a move. However, the wolf sat back down and looked away.

"What the?"

"You have it under control?"

"..." Alfia was left speechless.
