Volume 5 Chapter 63: Alger
"Greetings, Princess Carolyn."
"Your beauty is like that of the stars!"
"My name is-" A bunch of nobles surrounded Carolyn. However, the her expression was calm.
"Thank you. I'm glad to meet you all," Carolyn calmly smiled as she greeted them. However, on the inside, her thoughts were something entirely different.
Ugh. I don't want to be near these people. Carolyn understood these people greeted her because she was a princess. Their objective was to create new connections. That annoyed her.
Even if it was annoying, she had to make some connections with them. It wasn't only them doing this. To expand, Carolyn had to do the same, even if she hated it.
I wish Keith was here. She wanted to go to his island right now: that way, she could relax and go to sleep. There was no need to worry about being a princess.
"Hello, Carolyn." Carolyn turned to see a handsome man in a white suit. He was quite dashing. And it showed. Following behind him were a lot of girls.
"Hello, senior Alger." Carolyn slightly bowed. He was Alger, the prince of the Magic Kingdom, Philosph. Their kingdom and hers were close to one another.
"May I have the honor to be your first partner?" Alger bent down slightly and raised his hand.
"..." Carolyn looked at Tristan and Maria. Right now, the two were dealing with a lot of students. It was the same as her. Those students wanted to make connections with them.

What should I do? There were a lot of signs telling her not to do this. For starters, there were a lot of girls glaring at her; this was due to his good looks.
What was more, all eyes were on them. Carolyn sighed, "Please." She raised her hand. Alger's expression brightened as he took it. The two head to the center of the floor.
"Thank you so much for the dance,"
"Don't mention it, Senior." Carolyn smiled.
"No, if you didn't, it would have been trouble for all those girls." Alger glanced at the girls; gritting their teeth as they watched him dance with Carolyn.
"Wow, there's a lot of girls." That group wasn't the only one there. There were two more groups! Carolyn didn't know whether to laugh or cry in this situation.
"It's nothing,"
"How is that nothing? Senior, you have a lot of problems with females."
"Don't mention it." Alger groaned, "I'm sorry to bring you into this situation. You were the only person I could choose."
"It's fine," There was nothing to do. Carolyn couldn't cry over spilled milk now. The two continued to dance for a while before the song ended. The two bowed to one another,
"Thank you for the dance,"
"You too. You were a great dancer," Alger smiled as they walked away from one another. Carolyn was tired as she headed over to Sarah. Sarah smiled,
"Carolyn, you danced so gracefully." Carolyn looked like a fairy as she danced; everyone couldn't help but be in awe.
"You would have been the same if you went out,"
Carolyn chuckled. Sarah shook her head, "I'm not a great dancer." She was embarrassed.
She turned to Gabriel, "Aren't you going to dance?"
"I can't. I don't even have a partner,"
"You sure? Do you not see the girls there?" Carolyn pointed at a group of girls who kept eyeing the group. They were trying their best not to make it obvious.
However, they were not discreet enough.
"By the way, where's Jack?"
"He's talking with some friends," Sarah smiled. Apparently, the person who was the most sociable was Jack. Jack was talking with the nobles he made friends with.
Gabriel sweated as he turned to Sarah, "Sarah, do you want to dance?"
"Are you sure? I might step on your feet?"
"It's fine. I might also step on your feet," Gabriel scratched his head. When the two of them left, it was only Carolyn and Krystal.
"..." There was an awkward silence between them. Although the two lived on the same island, there wasn't much interaction.
"So, is that guy going to be your husband?"
"No. Senior Alger and I aren't like that,"
"It seems different," Krystal calmly stated as she sipped on a drink, "You and I don't have the luxury of choosing our partners so easily."
"I know." Carolyn wasn't disturbed by her words. Instead, she completely understood what she was getting at.
