Volume 5 Chapter 37: Taste Testing Number 2

"That Keith is such a bother!" Alfia groaned. Her hands were still itching to hit him at least once! That was how much of a tease Keith was! She took her shot, but the man dodged! It was like he had eyes in the back!

"He's so different." Alfia couldn't help but express. That gentle image of him was gone. However, she didn't mind. It felt more comfortable with him being like this.

"..." Faelyn stayed silent as she observed Alfia complain about Keith. The Princess has changed so much. As the two entered the island,

"Welcome back, Princess," What greeted them were elves.

"Princess, how was your day?!" "Do you want some tea?!"

Alfia ignored all of them as she headed to her room. But as she did that,

"Little sister, what's got you in such a chipper mood?" The moment that was said, Alfia's expression scrunched up! It became an extra shade of dark. If Keith and the others were here, they would be surprised.

"Nothing, Iston." Alfia looked up to see an elf as beautiful as her. He was the sixth prince of the elven kingdom, Iston. He was none other than Alfia's brother.

"Come now. Why are you looking at me like that? Is that how you speak to your brother?" Iston grinned.

"Hmpf," Alfia didn't look at him and continued onwards. When she entered her room,

"Why did he have to be here?!" Alfia groaned. Faelyn tried to soothe her,

"Princess, please be calm."

"How can I be calm when that bastard is here?!" Alfia couldn't hide her emotions. The thought was enough to make her furious.

"Ahh!" Today was such a good day.

...

"Alright, it's time to test some new dishes I've prepared." Keith raised his hand in the air with a smile.

"Yahoo!" Everyone cheered! But it was nothing compared to how the others reacted. There was a special guest as well. Alfia questioned, "Should I really be here as well?"

"Of course! We have to get everyone to try it!" Keith smiled.

"Enough chitter chatter! What food do you have in store for us?!" Cadmus roared. He was waiting for this day to happen!

"The first dish I have prepared for all of you would be simple. That would be a garlic and lemon lamb crepe!" Keith started off with the first dish.

"Oohoo!"

"So it's going to be lamb theme this time?"

"Mmhmm!" Keith got a bunch of lamb meat. He was eager to try it out! The others started to eat!

"It has a lot of zest to it!"

"It's a good pair with the garlic!"

As they ate, Alfia questioned, "Do you do this all the time?" It seemed this wasn't the first time Keith did this.

"This is the second time. Keith uses us as his guinea pigs." Carolyn explained.

"You're benefiting from this. Or do you not want to be a guinea pig?" Keith questioned.

"I'll be a cute guinea pig!" Carolyn shut up and continued to eat.

"Seconds!" Cadmus roared.

"So fast?!" It was only a few seconds since Keith handed the crepe over to him.

"Tasty!"

"What else have you prepared?!"

"The next one is three types of soups."

"You're going to be selling soup?"

"Mmhmm. I thought about it, and I should do something interesting." And then he opened three different pots. The aroma from each one was alluring and easy on the nose.

"The first one is a soup made from the meat of a cloud pig."

"Gimme!" Cadmus and the others were excited.

"So delicious!" "What's the second one?"

"The second one is made from the bones and meat of the inferno cow. This one is interesting." Keith smiled.

"Tangy!" The taste was tangy and robust!

"That's what I thought too." It tasted like barbeque thrown into his mouth.

"What's the last one?"

"Oh, the last one is made from the bones of the sheep monster. I added some potatoes and onions into it,"

"Mellow!"

"What do you guys think," Keith asked. Since they had tried everything, it was time for them to offer their opinions.

"I-"

"Before you say anything, saying everything is a no-go," With those words, half the hands went down. Keith could already tell what some would say.

"I think the first soup is nice," Alfia answered.

"How so?"

"The second one isn't something I like compared to the other two. It's too heavy. Between the two, the first has a sweetness I like."

"I see," Keith thought about it. The second soup was indeed heavy.
