Volume 6.5 Chapter 60: Your Name Shall Be Saphir

"That's great that you guys are getting along. But I think you should give her a name." They couldn't keep calling the wolf it.

"Woof!" The wolf jumped up and down. She seemed envious after seeing how happy Agi was.

"Mmhmm." Alfia nodded as she looked at the wolf. Its fur was light blue, and her eyes were sapphire. One thought came to her mind, "Saphir, do you like it?"

"Woof!" The wolf liked it as she continued to lick Alfia's face.

"That's great." Keith patted the wolf's head as he instructed, "Since you have practiced with Agi for some time, train with Saphir." It should be simple enough. It should be easier with how she trained with the other one; experience helped out a lot.

"Mmhmm. Ready, Saphir?" "Woof!"

"Good energy because monsters are heading our way." Keith grinned as he looked at the side. What charged at the trio were giant walking trees!

"Walking trees?" Alfia blinked. That was quite a strange sight.

"I will leave you guys to handle it," Keith said nothing more as he jumped into the trees.

"Let's do this!" "Woof!" Like that, the two started to battle with the trees. With a snap of her fingers, Alfia fired her wind magic at the trees. Watching this, Keith sighed. I think I should have gone to a stronger dungeon. He thought Alfia and the wolf would take a little longer to bond and needed some time to gel. That was not occurring right now.

Alfia exploded the trees left and right on one side. The other side,

"Wooof!" The wolf fired beams of water, slicing the trees in half. The two were blowing up the trees too quick. Wind and water were flying all over the place.

"Good job, you two." Keith rubbed the two's heads, seeing how hard they fought. Kinda overkill, however, the two were cooperating with one another. Saphir liked it while Alfia's cheeks turned red, "Do you have to treat me like a child?"

"But you did a good job."

"..." Not what I meant. Alfia turned to Saphir, "Good job, Girl." She should be the one spoiling the spirit.

"Woof!" The wolf made out a pleasant voice as she licked Alfia's face. While that happened on the side, Keith walked over to the walking tree's corpse. Could I use this? Bringing it up to his nose, he started to sniff it.

I see. Keith grinned. He could do something with this. Turning to the others, "Alright, let's go home." There was no point in staying in this dungeon. Their only objective was to build the bond between Alfia and Saphir.

"Wait, you're bringing these home?" In Keith's hand were the walking trees.

"Mmhmm."

"..." Alfia gave him a strange look. But Keith shook his head, "Relax, I'm not going to feed them to you."

"Okay, good." Alfia sighed in relief.

"Let's go." It was time for them to return to the city. As they headed into the city,

"Oh, my. Fancy seeing the two of you together?" Keith and Alfia looked up to see Scarlet.

"Hello, Scarlet." Keith smiled.

"Are the two of you on a date?" Scarlet noticed how the two walked side by side together.

"Date?! It's not a date!" Alfia quickly waved her hand as she shouted. Do you have to act so surprised? Keith kept cool as he explained, "We were only out for training. There's nothing more."

"..." Alfia's expression drew blank when she heard that.

"We'll be going now." The two headed off like so. However, that didn't stop Scarlet from staring at their back,

"So she's like that as well."

...

Later that night, Alfia's expression was bright. With how she bonded with her two spirits, how could she not be excited? As she was prepared to go to sleep,

"Hmm?" Alfia looked down to see the two spirits summoning themselves into her room.

"What's the matter?"

"Woof!" "Kwak!"

"You want to sleep with me?" This was a first. The two would sleep somewhere else. But remembering how Keith sleeps with Fira, she understood.

"Alright." Alfia nodded and let them into their bed. The two spirits snuggled up to her body. Feeling their fur; is this what Keith felt every day?

No wonder he always has a smile!
