Volume 5 Chapter 65: How Can You Use It?
"Why are you so chipper?" As the two headed into the forest, Keith noticed the ecstatic expression Alfia had. She kept looking at the tag as they walked. It got to the point where she almost tripped twice.
"That's because I always wanted to become an adventurer."
"Really?" This was a surprise.
"Mmhmm. I always wanted to go out and hunt monsters down. However, I got stopped by my father and the others. They said it was too dangerous outside, and I would die,"
"..." Those guys are a little overprotective.
"So what do we need to do first?" Alfia pumped her fist.
"The first quest we have is to take out the rush bulls. Herrick said he needed them."
"Understood. However, I hate that we're doing this for him." Alfia wanted to avoid the idea of helping Herrick out.
"Pff." Keith chuckled, "Suck it up for now. There should be a herd a few steps ahead of us. I will be using my hand to talk. So be quiet."
Alfia nodded. As the two continued forward, Keith and Alfia spotted the rush bulls. She looked at Keith, waiting for his signal.
I will be the vanguard while you fight in the rear. Keith gestured.
Understood. Like that, the two charged at the bull. Keith quickly sliced one down.
"Moo!" With the sudden attack, the bulls charged at Keith from the back. However, Alfia fired her magic, torching the bull!
Keith gave a thumbs up. The two continued their onslaught till every bull was defeated.

"Good job,"
"Of cours-Gah!" Before Alfia could act proud, she got a head chop from Keith!
"Did you think I was going to say that?!" Keith's expression changed into a monster.
Alfia held her head, "But I took them down." She acted like a rear guard and defeated all the monsters who escaped Keith's field of vision.
"And you singed me as well!" Keith pointed! He had armor on. On the back of it was a burned area from Alfia's magic!
"That was because you were too close to the bull," Alfia looked away.
"Say that to my face," Look me in the eye and say that! There was no way this was his fault! Keith scolded Alfia briefly before they went to deal with the other quests.
"By the way, why did you want to come with me?" Keith asked as he picked some rose herbs.
"Eh?" "I know you didn't want to follow me just to go to the adventurer's guild,"
"Ahh,"
"...Don't tell me you forgot?"
"..."
"And you call me spacy." Get out of here with that!
"I want you to teach me,"
"Eh? I couldn't hear you," Her voice was so low that he couldn't hear.
"Teach me how to use grand-level magic!" Alfia requested! Now, that was something Keith heard. He rubbed his ears,
"Why do you want me to teach you grand-level magic?"
"Because you're the only one who can use it."
"What? Don't you know other people who can use it?"
Alfia shook her head, "Not many people could use grand-level magic. You're the only one who can do it." Her brothers didn't know how to use it. The only person she knew how to use it and got along with was Keith.
"Sure, I don't mind helping you." Keith smiled.
"Really?!" Alfia expected Keith to say something other than yes. That was all the more reason why she was happy.
"Yeah. So let's start!" Keith stretched his body back and forth. Since they were out here, training was perfect.
"What element is your strong suit?"
"Wind would be my strong suit." Wind was something she could use easily.
"Alright. Also, do you know of a grand-level attack magic?" He knew how to use lightning. But he didn't have something on wind.
"Here," Alfia quickly took a scroll out from her ring.
"So this is the magic," Keith looked through it. Grand-level wind magic, Ariel Cypher.
"Please don't tell anyone about this."
"I know. Don't worry. I won't tell anyone about this," Grand-level magic was incredibly rare. Keith knew how to use his lightning trident because Cadmus haphazardly showed him the scroll.
He thought Keith wouldn't be able to use it. However, in a few days, he learned how to cast it. Sohma and William chewed the dragon out after learning about this.
"I've been trying to learn it. However, it's not working for me," Alfia sighed. She had gotten this, hoping to learn it throughout the school year. However, no dice.
"I see," Keith closed the scroll, "This is how you use it, I think."
"Eh?"
"Glorious wind beckons to my call," Keith started to chant. A giant gust of wind formed around his body. Alfia took a step back as she watched.
"Ariel Cypher!" Keith fired the magic. A vortex was directed to a tree, blowing everything away.
"That's how you use it?"
"..."
"Alfia?" Keith waved his hand. However, no response from the girl.
"How could you use it?!"
