Volume 6.5 Chapter 44: Casualty In Battle
Craig was right. Keith was really excited about the new ingredients he obtained. However, Keith wasn't returning home. He headed for Dalen's workshop.
"Scar! I got some good things for you to check out!"
"So you finally came to our store, you brat!" What Keith got was a glare from Scar. Keith scratched his head, "There were a lot of things that happened." Between him being sandwiched between Alfia and the others to make up school work, many things were on his plate.
"Scar, weren't you worried about him?"
"You looked like you were going to die."
Some dwarves laughed as they reminded him what had happened. That caused Scar's face to turn red, "Shut it! Do you want to die?!" He turned to Keith, "I didn't want to lose such a valuable customer."
"Sure," Keith grinned, but then he added, "I have some good things for you."
"Hmm?"
"Check these out!" Keith then took out the hide of a dragator! One was enough, as it covered the entire counter! When the dwarves saw that, it made them freeze!
"That's a dragator hide!"
"Yep, yep!" Keith grinned, "I have some more."
"You have more?!" You have more than one?!
"Mmhmm, we need to go to the back to bring them out." If he brought all of them out right now, the front would break.
"Before that, how about your sword?" Scar questioned.
"Ah, it broke." Keith scratched his head as he brought the sword out. The two swords were shattered in two.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
"I see," Scar sighed, "Good job making it out of there."
"Huh?! You're not going to gut me?" He thought for sure this dwarf was going to end him.
"The fact that you faced the 20th-floor boss and survived is jaw-dropping enough. Those swords were a casualty of battle." He saw the newspapers. It may show Keith's abilities and skills, but anyone who was an adventurer could tell they faced many hardships to defeat 20th 20th-floor boss.
"Alright, let's go to the back." It was time to see what this kid had.
"First things first, here are the dragators," Keith summoned out all the hide he had. When he did, there was a giant thud sound. Skar and the others were slack-jawed as they saw the pile!
"How in the world did you get 10 hides?" Scar couldn't believe Keith would get so much.
"Ah, we just split it five ways." Keith scratched his head. He didn't know either, but he went with what Titus said.
"That's a lot of stuff." "Hello, Dalen."
Dalen said, "Do you have other materials from the dungeon?"
"Oh, I have fangs from a howlsauras. I also got some materials from a variant raptor and 20th-floor boss."
"What?! Show us now!" The dwarve's eyes changed when they heard that. He had floor boss materials as well?! That was insane!
"Sure." Like that, Keith unloaded everything he had in his storage.
"..." Dalen chuckled, "I can't believe you have all that." Even he had no words to describe this situation.
"Dalen, you can use some of it," Keith suggested.
"We can't do that. But we'll buy it off of you." "That's fine as well." Keith really didn't mind.
"Alright! I'm off now! Please help me calculate the cost!" Keith didn't wait as he dashed home. Now that he had unloaded all the materials at Dalen, he could do what he wanted.
When he returned to the island, Jack was outside, "What? You're back so early?"
Keith scowled, "Of course I would be home. Why wouldn't I?"
"You're the type of person who would return home late rather than early." Jack retorted.
"..." Keith had no words for that. The only thing he could do was shake his head and go to the kitchen. It was time to prepare it.
What Keith took out was the dragator. Since he obtained it, he was going to have a taste again! Steak was perfect. He was craving some right now.
Slicing a piece, Keith placed it on the pan. As it seared,
"Ahh, it smells so perfect." No wonder this was a B-rank monster. The meat was so juicy and thick. Once he finished it, Keith placed it on his plate.
"Tender and juicy!" Keith couldn't help but mutter! As he continued to eat it,
"Keith,"
