Volume 6 Chapter 81: Giant Eyeball
"Enough with the chatter! We're heading down!" Titus ordered. As they continued to fight, the stairs to the next floor were in front of them. Going down to the next area made Keith confused.
A swamp area? Keith looked around.
"Have you ever been to an area like this?" Morgan questioned, noticing the excited look Keith had. Keith shook his head, "Nope. This is a first for me." The swamp area was not ordinary.
"As long as we keep to the path and do not get near the water, we will be fine," Shakti added. Inside the water would be monsters. But they wouldn't come up. Or so she had thought.
"Watch out!" Keith quickly dashed forth and swung his blade! The member was surprised, but when she looked at what Keith had taken a shot at, it made her wary. A tentacle. It was trying to drag one of the members in.
"Monsters are coming out of the swamp!" Keith shouted. Hearing this,
"Prepare for battle," Titus called out. As they huddled together, Keith raised his sword, prepared to take it out. As he readied, the monster sprang forth from the swamp!
"Woah!" The thing latched onto the top of his sword. It was slimy and also had a good grip over it! He wasn't the only one; other tentacles sprang forth, grabbing the other adventurers.
It's trying to pull us in! Slowly, Keith was moving towards the swamp! Not happening! He slammed his feet down, getting a hold.
"Watch out for the tentacles! Don't let it drag you into the swamp!" Titus quickly warned.
"Tch!" While Titus warned the others, Keith was in a tugging match with the monster. That tentacle wasn't alone. More came out of the swamp, latching onto Keith's limb.
"You got to be kidding me!" Keith was being dragged into the swamp.

"Keith! Yank on the tentacles as much as possible!" Shakti shouted. Nodding his head, Keith pulled on the tentacles with all his force! What came down on it was Shakti, splitting the tentacles.
"Thanks." "Don't mention it." Shakti's eyes never left the swamp, "Time to see who you really are!" She slammed her axe down, splitting the swamp in half! That forced the monsters to reveal themselves.
"What the?!" "So disgusting." "Are you kidding me?!"
What was in front of everyone was a tentacle monster! But it was weird as it was a giant eyeball with tentacles. It glared at all of them.
Morgan ordered, "Shakti, draw its attention. Archers, keep them at bay."
"Understood!" "Keith, can you use your magic at it?"
"Mmhmm." Keith nodded as he raised his hand. Since the monster came from the water, it was a water-type animal. And he understood what weakness it had.
"Ngh!!" The eyeball started to wither around. Lightning surrounded its body. And that was not the end. Morgan added wind magic into the mix as well! It was an explosiveness of never before proportions.
"Thank goodness." Shakti sighed in relief as she watched the eyeball fall down to the ground, withering in pain. Shakti turned to Morgan. As she did,
SLASH!
"Shakti, you can't lose focus against the monster." Keith wiped the blade as he stared at the eyeball. It didn't die from Keith and Morgan's attack. With its dying breath, it wanted to take down someone with him!
"Thank you, my hero!" Shakti didn't hesitate as she hugged Keith! Keith tried to push her away, "Stop hugging me. My skin is slimy." Those tentacles were in swamp water. It smelled disgusting! While she did that, Morgan's expression was livid,
"Shakti! How many times do I have to tell you to watch out! You need to end it before they can make another move."
"I know. Don't worry." But it seemed Morgan's words went in one side and out the other.
"You were so dashing. I might be falling in love with you!" Shakti grinned as she continued to hug Keith.
"Thank you for the words. But I'm not looking for love right now." Keith gave a sigh as he walked away. But that caused Shakti to pout. He walked over to one of the members,
"Are you okay?" She was the one Keith had pushed out when he saw the eyeball attacked. The adventurer shook her head,
"I'm fine. Thank you for warning me." "It's nothing. I'm glad you're safe."
"...Thank you." "No problem."
"This guy is the most destructive person." Morgan and Shakti watched this unfold. Looking down, she saw Shakti with a jealous look. Too destructive. Titus questioned,
"Is everyone okay in your group?"
