Volume 6 Chapter 36: The Next Option
What was in front of them were not some regular skeleton soldiers. They were called skeleton knights, a level higher than the soldiers. If the soldiers were considered the grunts, these guys were the elites.
"Understood!" Herrick and Melor nodded. And the knights made the first move as they attacked them. The two moved their weapons. The four weapons colliding caused a shockwave!
"Woah!" Herrick quickly raised his sword again to block it. These guys are fast! The skeleton soldiers were lacking in terms of reaction. However, the knights didn't have that delay. They were fighting at a quick pace. However,
"You guys are still weaker than me!" Herrick punched the knight in the face! His reactions were higher than him. However, there was something he forgot. There were more than two.
"Herrick!" Melor shouted, and when he did, he saw a sword coming right down at his face! A knight came in and took advantage.
Darn it! Herrick was going to take the brunt, but the knight never came down. That monster was sent flying across the floor. Herrick turned around to see Keith,
"Stay focus." Realizing the knight coming at him, Keith prepared magic to blow it away.
"Sarah." "Understood!" Sarah cast her magic,
"Light mist!" A slight mist surrounded Herrick and Melor. The wounds on their body started to heal from the mist.
"Thanks, Sarah!" Melor and Herrick continued to fight on!
We're getting pushed back. While everyone fought, Keith analyzed the situation. Their party was slowly losing ground. It was the difference in team play. The knights were able to work as a team. And it was better compared to them.
We need to do a team play of our own.

"Gabriel, Alfia, Carolyn." Noticing Keith's gaze,
"Understood!" "Gotcha!" The three understood what he wanted.
"Melor, Herrick! Back off now!"
"Understood!" Keith slammed his hand down to the ground. When he did, the ground shook, and a sinkhole formed. When that happened, Gabriel swung his sword, and the fireball launched at the knights! The knights raised their shields, blocking it.
However, they were blown into the hole.
"Incinerate!" "Blow!" Alfia and Carolyn chanted their magic! Fire and wind were a great match with one another. The fire became even more enormous as it blew it to smithereens.
"We need to go. There are going to be more." They couldn't stay here any longer. The more they stayed, the more monsters would be summoned.
"But we can't go back," Even if they wanted to do so, they couldn't go back. The tunnel was blown up.
"We're going to move forward," Keith answered.
"Eh?" He wants to move forward?
"Trust me and follow my lead."
"Alright!" They listened to Keith's command as they headed down without hesitation.
"It's a safe place." Keith sighed in relief. When that was said, there was a moment of relaxation. That only lasted for a few seconds before Herrick exploded,
"Those bastards! How dare they do this?!" Now that they had the time to do it, Herrick was exploding like no tomorrow! All that anger he held in couldn't be contained any longer. And he wasn't the only person.
"When we get back, I'm going to destroy them!" Melor cracked his knuckles. He was itching to punch them out!
"I'm in!" Jack was ready to go.
"Chill out for now," Keith sighed.
"Are we really going to sit back?" Alfia frowned. This was not the time to do that. What those adventurers did was horrible.
"Oh, no. When we get back, we'll do something about them." No way was Keith going to let them go after doing something like this. But,
"We need to get our priorities straight. The first thing we need to do is to get out of here." Keith wasn't planning to let his anger cloud his judgment.
They were still in the dungeon. Deal with that first, and then deal with those adventurers second. When everyone heard that, they cooled down.
"We can't go back the same way." It would take too long to clear the rubble.
"How about another tunnel?" There were a slew of different tunnels.
"...Too long." If we took that, we would have to take a longer route. The one he chose was the most efficient. They would have to fight their way through all of that.
"What do we do?"
"Simple. We'll continue forward."
"I see." Gabriel and Faelyn understood, "We're going to take out the boss."
