Volume 5 Chapter 33: Let Him Calm Down

"Keith, this soup has a unique flavor. What did you use to make it?" Cadmus stared at the soup, intrigued by its distinct taste. It was unlike any other soup Keith had made, with a smoother texture and a less pronounced flavor.

"Oh, I used meat from a cloud pig to make the soup."

"This came from a cloud pig?!" The adults exclaimed, their surprise evident in their wide-eyed stares at Keith.

Keith nodded, "What about it?"

"Aren't cloud pigs supposed to be disgusting?" Nephele muttered as she stared down at the soup. She heard a lot of people talking about how the cloud pigs were disgusting.

However, it tasted amazing!

"No, it tastes really disgusting." Cadmus nodded. It was horrible, and he never thought about eating it again.

"Yeah," Keith nodded. He couldn't deny that.

Jack added, "It was a surprising transformation. Keith added the cloud pig meat to the soup, which completely changed the taste."

"Wait, it changed when you dumped it into the water?" Cadmus turned to Keith, wanting some answers.

"You can pan-fry the meat. However, you need to have a lot of control over the fire. I looked away for a second, and it turned horrible. And you need to have the perfect medium rare, or it would smell good and taste horrible."

"Wait, how does it taste when you pan-fry it?"

"It tastes like you're eating a large pot of soup. It tastes better when you toss it into soup."

"..." The adults said nothing. How could this guy be so nonchalant about this? Only this guy was capable of doing something like that.

This guy has the hands of god on him!

"Anyways, you guys can't forget about the lamb." Keith smiled as he brought out the lamb meat. They couldn't be in awe of the soup before they had this.

"We missed this!" How could they forget about the meat?!

...

"Herrick," Keith knocked on his door. However, there was no response. Keith sighed as he said, "I'm going to leave the food here. If you're hungry, please eat." There wasn't anything else Keith could say as he walked away.

"You understand he's awake, right?" Nephele commented.

Keith nodded, "Mmhmm, I know." Even though Herrick didn't say anything, he could see the shadow under the door.

"Want me to get him out?" Nephele rolled up her sleeves, ready to do something. But Keith shook his head,

"No, that would make things worse." After hearing what happened, Keith understood why Herrick didn't want to come out. He was probably shocked by the defeat. The best thing for a person like him was to give the person some fresh air. He needed some time to process.

Nephele tilted her head, "Really? Because the guy is only mumbling about it being impossible."

"Huh? You can hear his words?"

"Of course! I'm the great spirit of wind! I can hear things others can't." Nephele smirked with a prideful look.

"Please don't do that," Keith waved his hand. He could already see the problems that would unfold.

"Really? But there are a lot of things the others say. Don't you want to hear?" A devilish grin formed on Nephele's face.

"..." Keith sighed, "Diana!"

"!"

"Nephele needs some extra training!"

"Keith! Be quiet!"

"Understood!" Without a second later, Diana appeared and grabbed Nephele by the neck.

"Nooooooo!" Nephele wanted to cry! She gave Keith a hateful glare as she was dragged away by Diana.

Keith shrugged, "That's what you get for listening in on another's conversation."
