Volume 6.5 Chapter 19: Rip His Fingers Off
"Dammit! Where is he?!" Alfia's eyes turned vicious as she looked around, trying to find someone. And she wasn't the only one as the others did the same. Yet, there was one place they all focused on.
"Morning, everyone." Keith smiled as he waved his hand in the kitchen. He had a knife in his hand, ready to cook. But that caused Herrick to pick him up.
"Hey! Do you guys have to do this?!"
"Sheesh! How many times did we have to tell you! Go and rest! We'll make breakfast!"
"I said I was fine! And I need to do something after getting cooped up in the hospital! Just let me do some cooking!"
"No!" "Come on!"
"It's only a bit!" Keith grabbed the kitchen's door frame, not wanting to leave.
"Why is he so strong?!" "Someone rip his fingers off now!" Like that, Alfia and Faelyn ungripped him from the door.
"Guys! Do you really have to treat me like this?!" Keith cried as he felt everyone pulling him away. He was a little surprised since everyone was working together! But to get together like this to deal with him was messed up!
Herrick and Melor placed him on a chair,
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
"Of course! You just need to sit there and act cute! You don't need to do anything else, got that!" Jack pointed his fingers at him. Keith sighed, "Sheesh! You guys don't have to be so mean."
They were all treating him like an injured patient. But he wasn't that injured! He could still do the usual things. One arm was enough, but they wouldn't have any of that.
"Master Fira!" "Mir! You guys are on duty."
"Understood!" "Po!" To make sure Keith stayed put, Fira and Mir were used as guards.
"Come on. Do you have to ask them as well?!" This was cheating! How could he say no in front of them?
"That's the point." Alfia scoffed as they returned to the kitchen. A pout appeared on the man's face.
"Hoo," Aria flew on top of the table as well.
"...Fine. I will take a break." Keith couldn't say no to Aria. The owl had bandages across her wings. She couldn't move freely. But it was nothing compared to a few days before; she couldn't fly. She needed more time to recover.
Like that, the four sat in the kitchen, playing with the snowball. Keith's soul was being soothed by this snowball. As he did,
"You got kicked out of there?" Cadmus chuckled as he sipped on his tea.
"...Yes."
"Tsk tsk, all of them are such worriers."
"You can't be so nonchalant with this." Sohma shook his head. But then he turned to Keith, "Keith, don't let his cool facade deceive you. He was worried sick that something happened to you."
"Hey! I was not! And besides, Diana was summoned, so there's nothing to worry about!" Aria was already a giant assurance. But with Diana, that assurance sky-rocketed.
Cadmus stared at the woman, "And yet Keith and Aria returned with a bruised body."
"Tch!" Keith and the others scooted away from Diana.
"We survived."
"And Keith came back with injuries. You should retire as a great spirit."
Grrr!
Keith and Sohma made a business decision to avoid getting involved. Not unless they wanted a calamity on their hands. Nephele blinked. This was the first time she saw Diana so frustrated.
"Breakfast is ready!" Alfia and the others brought in the dishes. They blinked their eyes and noticed the odd atmosphere.
"Did something happen?" "Nothing happened." Keith shook his head. Like that, everything was placed on the table.
"Oh, wait a minute, isn't this my food?"
"Mmhmm." We had saved up.
