Volume 6 Chapter 44: He Won’t End Us All If We Do It Together
"Keith will not notice a tiny piece missing. It would be fine." Alfia made a slight grin.
"..." He got to you, huh? Alfia was a calm and collected person. However, that all changed when she joined Keith's island. She became more open-minded. It was good and bad at the same time.
"See! We should try it out." "But shouldn't we get the word from Keith?" Sarah scratched her head.
"That man is going to be in the bath for some time. Can we really wait that long?" Jack questioned. Keith just went in. The man would come out in a half-an-hour.
"..." There was a silence, wanting to figure out what to do.
"What's going on?" While they wondered what to do, the adults entered the kitchen.
"Hello," Everyone greeted them. However, Cadmus raised his hand, "Be quiet, all of you. I sense new food."
"..." Sohma and the other adults shook their heads. This dragon was sniffing the kitchen, and his eyes locked onto the lid.
"Is that the new dish?"
"Yes. That's what Herrick said. He said it had a delicious smell." Cadmus looked around, "Where is the kid?"
"He's in the bath," Gabriel answered.
"I see!" Slap!
"What are you trying to do?" Sohma's eyes narrowed at this dragon. He slapped his hand.
"Want to get a bite." Cadmus didn't deny it. At this point, everyone understood what his endgame was.
"Have some manners."
"What? Keith isn't here. He won't know if a piece is gone."
"That's what I said, too!" Herrick added.

Cadmus smiled, "Good thinking, Herrick!"
"You two understand that if you all take a piece, Keith will find out about it, right?" From how eager they looked, all of them wanted to try. And if they took that much, he would know.
"You're right." Cadmus thought about it. And he couldn't eat it either, or Herrick and the others would pounce on him. He clapped his hands, "Everyone, I have a plan to deal with this."
A plan?
Aidiun and Sohma grabbed their heads. I don't like where this is going. Whatever he had planned was going to be a hassle.
"Here's the thing, we all want to try it. However, if we do, it will be apparent that we all did. And Keith will find out and probably slaughter the ones who did it."
"..." Did you have to say slaughter? Slaughter? Yes. But that's only for you! Sohma knew Keith would beat up Cadmus. For the rest, he might lightly scold them.
However, the damage was done; Cadmus's words affected all the students! They remembered Keith's smiling expression as he forced everyone to clean. Those wounds were still fresh in everyone's mind. They didn't want to go through that again.
"What do we need to do, principal?!" Herrick questioned.
"That's why I suggest we all try it together!" Cadmus grinned.
"...Wouldn't Keith kill us all if we did?" Nephele muttered. That was asking for trouble.
"Hold your horses. Let me explain." Cadmus waved, "Think about it like this; Keith would punish the ones who ate it. However, could he actually punish everyone?"
"Eh?" "Didn't he do that before?" For starters, he punished everyone that time. Gabriel, Sarah, Arlo, and Jack got caught in the crossfire.
"No, that was because there was no unity." Cadmus shook his head, "Keith punished all of you because he felt the need to build cooperation." How did they not see what Keith was trying to do?
"Eh?"
"Like if he punished one group, the others wouldn't understand. So he chose to make you all do it." All for one, and one for all. That was the jist of it.
"So we need to show our cooperation and eat together!"
"That doesn't make sense!" Diana retorted. The only thing she heard from his reasoning was eating. What he said was correct. Keith punished them all so they could work together. But this wouldn't stop Keith from throwing him out the window!
"Think about it! We do this as a group; Keith wouldn't dare punish us! He would probably give us a warning, and that would be it!"
"...It could happen."
"Carolyn?!" Everyone turned to her.
"Keith isn't the type to punish many people at the same time. Also, he doesn't mind people eating food. I sneaked a lot of food before." The number of times she did it was the same amount as Cadmus. Probably even more!
"What?!" "How did you survive?!"
"He usually lightly scolds me after I steal some food." Carolyn stuck out her tongue. He usually did it because she didn't have an appetite during dinner.
"If it affects us badly, then he would scold us. When I ate cookies at night, he scolded me a ton. But when I ate during the morning, it was less." Unless it was causing harm, he would look the other way.
