Volume 5 Chapter 78: Full Potential
"Princess," Faelyn waited by the gate.
"Mmhmm," Alfia smiled. Alfia's heart was much lighter than the last time. Although her irritation for Iston had disappeared, something else was on her mind. Dammit, this guy is such a brat! Every time she thought of Keith, she wanted to smack him.
"Princess, you should be more wary," Faelyn sighed.
"It's Keith. I don't need to worry so much." Alfia shook her head. This guy was harmless.
"..." That's not what I meant. Faelyn shook her head. When the two entered their island,
"Licht? What's the matter?" Alfia saw Licht standing outside of her room. His expression was off as if he was worried about something.
"Alfia, father is coming."
"What?!" Alfia's eyes widened when she heard that. She turned to Faelyn, and the girl was the same!
...
"Good morning, Keith." When Keith headed to the backyard, he spotted Herrick working out again. However, it was different from the other times. Instead of using a long sword, he practiced with a heavy sword.
"Not going to take care of your plant?"
"Master Fira and the two are watching it for me. I have it in my sight as well." Herrick had placed it in eyesight. Even when he swung his sword, he could see it.
"I see. And you're using a heavy sword now?"
"Mmhmm. It's much better than using a long sword. I could use more of my power with it." A heavy sword and a regular sword were different. A regular sword couldn't produce the same force as a heavy one.
"Any heavy weapon would be more suitable for you." Keith smiled. Herrick could use his strength to the fullest.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Yeah. Also, we need a lot of new practice weapons. I don't think a sword is a good fit for Arlo," Training with Arlo, he realized the latter was not used to a sword.
"I'll get Dalen to make some new practice weapons."
Herrick nodded.
"Want to spar?" Keith suggested.
Herrick's eyes widened, "You're fine with that?" Keith hadn't sparred with him after his defeat. He focused more on the plant.
"Of course," Keith waved his wooden sword before pointing at Herrick, "Let's spar." How strong had he become?
Can I really defeat him? Herrick was a little nervous. It had been a while since he worked out and sparred with anyone. The difference between where he was before and now was different.
"Let's begin!" The two started their spar. The first to make a move was Keith as he swung at his waist.
Herrick quickly shifted his sword, blocking it. However, Keith wasn't done as he continued to swing at him!
"Is the only thing you're going to do is block?" Keith sighed as he stopped moving.
"I-"
"Calm down and focus." Keith gave him some tips.
"Eh?"
"Analyze the situation and concentrate."
"Understood," Herrick calmed down as they started to spar again. While they did, Herrick continued to block his attack. However, this time, Herrick was much more relaxed. He analyzed Keith's movements, trying to find any cracks.
Concentrate on my movements. While he did, Herrick didn't forget to focus on his movements.
Opening! Herrick slammed his foot on the ground and slashed at Keith!
"!" Keith quickly raised his sword, yet that was not enough! The sword took the brunt of the attack, slashed in two. What was more, Keith was sent flying, slamming into a tree!
"Keith!" Fira and Herrick were stunned as they quickly headed over to him.
"Keith, I-"
"It's fine. I can take a hit," Keith laughed as he got up from the ground, "See what I mean?"
"?"
"What you lacked wasn't strength."
"!" Herrick looked down at his hand. What he lacked wasn't strength?
"You just needed to focus more. Your movements were way too erratic and wasted strength." Herrick wasted around 30. No, maybe 50% of his strength because he moved like a wild animal.
"If you concentrate and think about how you move, you could use your strength to the fullest potential."
"..." Herrick looked down, "Is that why you made me care for little Herc?"
"Who knows," Keith shrugged.
"Just take the win," Herrick wanted to hit this person right now.
"Haha,"
"Can we spar more?" Herrick asked. He needed to get used to it if he wanted to change,
"Sure," Keith brought out another sword.
