Volume 6.5 Chapter 57: Your Name Shall Be Agi
"You think I could do something like that?" Alfia was doubtful. How could she do what Keith did?! The hawk didn't even want to sit on her shoulders. It would be impossible to command it to do what she wants!
The hawk returned to Alfia's arm. But when Keith saw her expression, he shook his head, "Take a deep breath and tell it where to go."
"...Alright." Alfia looked at the hawk, "Go over there...please."
The hawk stared at the location and flew over. As it went,
"You're too tense and scared." This was not a scary monster! This was your familiar.
"I'm not."
"You're hunched over and like you need a cane." Keith shook his head as he went behind her, "Loosen yourself."
"Eep!" A jolt surged throughout her back as she stared at Keith's mischievous smile. He whispered, "If you act so tense, it will feel it too."
"?" Alfia blinked. As she did, he continued to loosen the girl's shoulders. Why is he so good at this?! His massage skills really softened the tension around her shoulders.
"Kwak!" The hawk screeched as it quickly returned. Alfia raised her arm to let the hawk land. The bird stared at Alfia before nudging her. That stunned the elf,
"Good job." Alfia patted the bird's head, realizing it wanted praise.
"Kwak!" A proud screech soon came after. Keith clapped his hand, "Good job. Now let's keep going." They were on a good pace; it was time to keep it up.
"Mmhmm. What do I need to do?" Alfia was prepared. Like that, Keith instructed her on some exercises with the hawk. Going around trees, looping them, and creating figure eights. The hawk did them all under Alfia's command.
"Wonderful." Alfia grinned, proud of the hawk's movements.
"You two did great. Now, how about you name the fellow now?" A name should come next.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
"I know of a name perfect for him." Alfia stared at the hawk, "From now on, your name will be Agi. Swift and skillful through the air; it will be a perfect name."
"Kwak!" Agi seemed to like the name as well.
"That's nice," "Congratulations, Princess!" Faelyn was happy for her as she clapped her hands.
"Mmhmm!" Alfia was excited as she stared at Agi.
While she did, Keith was lost in thought. Now that she got one, it was time for the second one.
...
"Woof!" "Come on! You just need to bring the ball back!" Alfia was now chasing after the wolf. She wanted to play catch with the wolf, but it became a game of cat and mouse again. Seeing a beautiful elf chasing after a wolf was quite a sight.
How should I go with this? Keith was clueless about this; this would be a difficult job even for him. The wolf didn't seem to care about what Alfia wanted as it continued to run around.
"Get back here!" "Woof!"
Strange. Keith continued to stare at this game of cat and mouse.
Alfia sighed, "I don't think I can deal with this guy yet."
Keith grinned. That's a good outlook. Alfia didn't say she would give up. Instead, it would take some time to build the bond.
"How about you practice with Agi and have the wolf nearby." It could learn from Agi.
"Alright." Alfia summoned Agi. Within these few days, Agi and Alfia's bond grew strong. It wasn't as strong as Faelyn and Quill, who had a head start. But it was a far cry from the beginning.
While Alfia trained with Agi, Keith sat beside the wolf, "Are you feeling jealous of them?"
"Woof." The wolf scoffed as it looked away from the two. But it couldn't fool Keith. Despite doing this, it kept its eyes on Alfia and Agi.
This wolf. Keith shook his head as he patted its head.
This training lasted a few more hours before they returned to the mansion. When they returned, they spotted Melor and Herrick returning as well.
"Did you two go to a dungeon again?" With them wearing armor, their location should be obvious.
"Of course! Also, we got some good meat here!" Herrick and Melor raised the meat up.
"Alright, I will cook it up then." Keith took it off their hands and headed for the kitchen.
"Hey," "What?"
"When are you going to head for the dungeon again?" Alfia questioned.
"What? Why?"
"We want to go too." Herrick and Melor's eyes widened.
"You want to go with us?"
"Yeah, we need the practice."
"Heck no! I'd rather not go with someone like you!" Did she forget about the practice where they were chained up? They were practically going to kill one another!
"If Faelyn and I go with you, you can enter a C-rank dungeon."
"..." Herrick and Melor paused when they heard that.
Got them. Alfia grinned with a triumphant expression.
