Volume 6.5 Chapter 51: Now, What Should I Do With Them?
The following day, Keith decided, "Fira, let's go and train again." With Leon and Laura's sudden arrival, Fira's training changed. The training was more focused on Inti and the snowballs. It became more concentrated on Inti and the snowballs; her role was to support, constrict, and restrict the monster's movements.
"Okay!" Fira waved her hand again. She was excited and ready for a fight. Mir wasn't here; the snowball decided to return home as well. It would only be Fira, Aria, and him.
"I'm going to pack some things up before we go." Keith smiled as he headed to the kitchen; it was time to prepare some snacks for them. Like that, the three set off. But when they did, three shadows started to follow after them.
"Are you sure we should do this?" One voice commented. From her tone, anyone could tell she didn't want to do this.
"It will be fine."
"Princess."
"Come on! I know you want to do this as well!"
The three arrived in the forest. Keith asked Fira, "Fira, I want you to focus on how many vines you can summon this time."
"Okay!" Fira nodded as she slowly summoned them; vines started to sprout from the ground, surrounding the group. Keith nodded, "Good job, Fira. Try to increase the amount by three." The number of vines Fira could call out was around eight.
"Mmhmm!" Fira nodded as she waved her hand. Slowly, three move vines sprouted. Keith frowned, "Dial it down to nine vines." He could see the other vines slowly losing control when three more were added. Incorporating more made Fira's control spread thin.
"Hmm!" When she did that, the vines slowly became more controlled. She could move them quickly like it was another extension of her body. Keith nodded, "We'll work with that for today. Let's try and defeat some monsters." Like that, the two of them headed off to fight. When they did,
Stolen story; please report.
"See! How could Fira listen to him like that?!"
"The way he commanded her was incredible."
"There are monsters in front of us. Prepare yourself." Keith could sense monsters near them. Fira nodded as she raised her fist.
"..." Yeah, that doesn't look intimidating. It was too cute to be called so.
Aria. Keith looked at the owl, who nodded as she was prepared to step in.
The monster that came forth was a giant bear! Interesting. This would be a perfect match-up against her. Keith grinned. Fira made the first move as the vines shot forward, wrapping the bear's limbs. As the bear tried to break free, vines pierced its body.
The bear's body slowly stopped moving as he dropped.
"That was great!" Keith patted the little spirit's head. Fira's grin became even broader. But then,
"Fira, can you make a fist using your vines?
"A fist?"
Keith explained, "Yes. Like tightening your vines to the point where you can use it as a fist." That was what Diana did. When they were fighting the raptor and the boss, Diana punched the floor boss with a vine fist. It was such a destructive blow.
"Ahh?" Fira tilted her head and tried to move her vines. The vines were shaping into a fist. However, it was loose.
"I can't do it." Fira sulked.
"It's fine. You can't get it on the first try all the time." How could I show her? As Keith thought about it, he knew what to do, "Why didn't I think of this! Give me a second." A grin formed as he waved his hand. With that, Diana appeared before him.
"Keith, what do you need?" Diana grinned.
"Can you teach Fira some moves?" Why didn't I think of it sooner? What was the best way to teach a forest spirit? With another forest spirit! And he had one on his island; she was a strong one at that!
"Sure, I can teach Fira some moves." Dian smiled as she turned to Fira, "Fira, are you fine with it? I will be a harsh teacher."
"I will be fine." Fira pumped her fist into the air without any hesitation. She was excited and ready to go! Like that, Diana started to teach Fira how to move her magic. While she did, Keith grinned as he watched.
"You need to tighten your vines."
"Okay!" Fira did just that as the vines wrapped around, strengthening the others.
Now, what should I do with them?
