Volume 6.5 Chapter 31: Prepping For The Party
"What's Keith so worked up about?" Everyone stared at Keith cooking in the kitchen. They were amazed at how fast he worked. Every time he entered, his speed increased. The apple in his hand would be peeled in the blink of an eye!
"He started with some rush bulls, and now he's working on fruit?" It was a variety of food.
"Is that going to be for us?" Sarah's mouth watered at the thought. The tantalizing aroma wafting from the oven was simply irresistible.
"No, it's going to be for a party." Keith overheard their conversation.
"Wait a minute, for a party?"
"Yeah, it's for celebrating our party's completion of the expedition." Keith grinned.
"Aww."
Keith chuckled, "Don't worry about it. I made one for you all as well. I'm preparing these." Today was the day of the party. Good, I'm done with these. Keith rolled his hand back and forth as he continued to work. After a few minutes,
"I'm going to head out now. Once the oven timer dings, you guys can take the pie out."
"Understood." Keith smiled as he headed off. The place he went to was the center of the city. There, he saw Titus waiting.
"Keith, I'll show you where it is." There was a change in plans; it was better to show than tell him.
"Mmhmm," The two walked for some time before arriving at a tavern. Entering it,

"Shop's closed for the day." "It's me, Argyle!"
"Oh," The rough voice changed, "What took you so long."
"Went to get some things. Thanks for letting us use this place."
"No problem. I'm getting paid for this." Argyle looked at Keith, "You're the kid Titus had been talking about."
"Hello," Keith bowed.
"Name's Argyle. I'm the owner of this tavern; you can use the kitchen however you please. No one is back there, so you won't have any help."
"No problem! I can handle it!" Keith rolled up his sleeves. He turned to Titus, "How long before the others arrive?"
"In about three hours?"
"I see. Is the thing in the back?"
Titus grinned and nodded, "Mmhmm, the dragator is on the table." He knew what Keith was here for.
"Great! Don't call me out for that time; I will focus on cooking." He would be laser-focused on it.
"Understood." Like that, Keith entered the kitchen. And what was before him was the dragator.
"What a serious kid." Argyle laughed.
"Mmhmm. He's like that with cooking." Keith had always been the type to focus on cooking.
"How good of a cook is he?" "Yo! Titus!" Before Titus could answer Argyle, Craig entered the tavern. Titus waved his hand,
"Hello."
"Where's the kid?!" Craig glanced around and didn't see Keith in sight.
Titus sighed, "Relax, he's in the kitchen right now. Don't bother him. He said he needed his focus."
"I see." Craig took a sigh. Titus questioned, "Did you bring it?"
"Of course! How could I not?!" Craig took out a bunch of barrels, "I bought some high-end stuff. We're going to have a blast."
Argyle laughed, "You guys really are going to go all out."
"Of course! Since Keith will cook for us, we're not holding back!" This was mainly due to the child cooking for everyone.
"Oh, Craig. You're here." "Keith, is something the matter?" The three turned their heads to see him out of the kitchen.
"Do you have any red wine?"
"Here, you can use this." Argyle handed him a bottle.
"Thank you." Keith returned. When he did, the scent smacked them across the faces.
"!" The others were shocked by the scent. What an addicting smell. An aroma that entices the nose, drawing them in.
"What is he cooking up in there?"
"Something delicious." Titus grinned while Craig was already salivating. Suddenly, Keith quickly came out again, "I made some light snacks. Please enjoy it before the party."
"Oh, I will." Craig nodded his head. Thank goodness he had come sooner. Argyle looked at the food, "Did he make meat?"
"Try it. It's otherwordly."
"Sure," Argyle didn't hesitate as he took a bite. His eyes sparkled the next moment.
"That's some delicious meat!" "Drink it with some ale! It hits the spot!" Craig already had a drink poured out.
Like that, the three ate. While they did, "What's that smell?" The group looked up to see Morgan.
