CHAPTER 969 KILL THE BEASTS
Ever since his encounter with Yahya, Darren had been thinking about how to defeat him. The best plan
he could think of now was enhancing his Bloody Shura Force to the point that he could surpass
Yahya's master!
"Since the Dark Force and the Primitive Fighting Force in my body have completely disappeared, it is
important that I cultivate again."
When Darren came to the ancient land, all his powers disappeared because of the difference in rule
systems. Thus, he had to start from scratch to develop the Bloody Shura Force.
"Well, it seems like I have to start all over again. Maybe I can learn something new."
Then, Darren and the others found a cave where they could begin to cultivate.
A month had passed. Darren's cultivation speed was incredibly fast. By then, he had already reached
the level of a one-star grand warrior!
'I still can't assimilate the ancient spiritual energy from the environment. I can only rely on my talent to
cultivate. This is too slow. I have to find a way to improve at a faster rate. Perhaps I could find some
powerful beasts to kill and absorb their cardiac cores, ' Darren pondered. He was not satisfied with his
speed of cultivation.
Darren needed to improve his cultivation level as soon as possible. When he reached the peak of the
Grand Realm, he would be able to explore the power of the Bloody Shura. After all, the dark crystal and
the primitive crystal were still in his elixir field.
"Manfred! Justin!"
Darren called out the two ancient tribulation holy warriors who were guarding outside the cave.
"Master, what can we do for you?" They bowed their heads and clasped hands.
"Can you check where powerful wild beasts live? Let's go there and hunt them down," Darren ordered.
"Of course, Master."
Then, the two unleashed their spiritual senses.
"Master, there is a small island five thousand kilometers away from here. A lot of powerful beasts
reside there; some are even more powerful than us," Manfred replied.
"It doesn't matter. We just need to be more careful."
"Yes, Master."
Under their guidance, Darren flew south of the cave, while Hailey stayed inside to continue her
cultivation.
In the blink of an eye, they landed on a remote island.
The island was small and covered only a range of dozens of kilometers.
However, the dense forest on the island was filled with a strong and immense aura.
"Master, there is a powerful Sword Spirit Tiger just a kilometer away, which is tremendously powerful.
It's best to stay away from it."
"Master, there is also an Earth Bear towards the north. I think I can kill it. Shall we go there?"
The two of them reported to Darren.
"Hmm. Go and kill the bear."
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
The three flew over and finally landed a few feet away from the bear.
The Earth Bear was asleep and did not sense any sign of the impending danger.
Whoosh!
A thunderbolt suddenly appeared and reached for the head of the bear.
"Howl!"
The Earth Bear suddenly woke up and slapped the thunderbolt with its big paws.
Bang!
The light spread in all directions. To everyone's surprise, the thunderbolt was shattered into pieces by
the bear.
"Damn it! The beast is stronger than I thought," Manfred said. He did not expect that the Earth Bear's
strength was on par with him.
Time was not an issue, but he was afraid of being noticed by the other strong beasts in the island.
Whoosh!
All of a sudden, an electric ray of light flashed, and the Earth Bear was stunned! Then, blood began to
drip from its forehead.
Darren looked over, only to find that Justin was behind the bear. Justin had been holding his blood-
stained sword up with both of his hands.
"Successful sneak attack," Justin said proudly.
"Ha-ha! Good job. You killed this stupid bear in an instant," said Darren.
"It's just a trick." Holding the sword back with modesty, he said, "Master, what do you want to do by
killing the beast?"
"It's none of your concern. Just get its cardiac core." Darren did not want to explain too much.
"Yes, Master!" Justin then brutally smashed the head of the bear, took its cardiac core out, and handed
it to Darren.
Darren did not plan on assimilating the cardiac core immediately after getting it. He wanted to save it
until he had collected as many beast cores as possible before assimilating them.
In just one day, they had successfully hunted down more than a dozen powerful beasts. Sometimes,
other stronger wild beasts would notice them, but they were fortunate enough to escape unharmed.
"Master, the weaker beasts seemed to have sensed our presence on this island. I'm afraid it might be
harder to track down the rest of them now."
"Yes, these beasts are very shrewd. However, this place is not that big. We have killed more than a
dozen beasts today. Some of them are probably hiding, but it's not going to be too long before we find
them."
After searching for more than two hours, Darren and the two warriors still had not found any suitable
target to kill.
"Come on. Let's call it a day." Darren gave up.
"Yes, Master."
The three of them prepared to leave.
"What? Master, there is a spiritual beast of heaven and earth. Hold on!"
Justin's eyes began to light up. He had sensed a colorful squirrel-like beast wandering around just
three kilometers away.
"What is a spiritual beast of heaven and earth?" Darren asked curiously.
"Master, this is a rare treasure you can't miss. If you kill it and eat its flesh, you can save hundreds of
years of cultivation!" Manfred explained.
"Really? Is it powerful?" Darren thought that such a precious beast must be really powerful, which
would be difficult for them to kill.
"Actually, it's a relatively weak beast. You can kill it with ease. However, it is known for its nimbleness.
Once it finds out that we're near, it would instantly flee and we won't be able to catch it."
Darren nodded and said, "Then I'll let you two deal with it to make sure everything goes right."
"No problem, Master!" The two cautiously moved towards the area where the spiritual beast of heaven
and earth was, while Darren followed suit.
Then, Darren saw a colorful little beast lying on a stone, peacefully basking in the sun.
"I'm sorry, little guy," Darren murmured.
"Justin, you should slash it quickly. I'll guard the surrounding area in case it tries to escape," Manfred
suggested.
"Okay."
As soon as he finished his words, Justin raised his sword. A sword shadow broke through the limit of
the space and directly shot at the spiritual beast of heaven and earth.
Whoosh!
In an instant, the spiritual beast was beheaded.
Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! owns this.
Squeak! Squeak! Squeak!
What happened next shocked Darren and his two servants.
After the death of the spiritual beast, vivid beams of light flashed straight into the clear sky.
"What's happening?" Darren and his two companions were dumbfounded.
They saw hundreds of spiritual beasts of heaven and earth rushing out.
"Oh my God! We hit the jackpot!"
Manfred cried out excitedly.
"Hush!" Justin cast a stern glance at his companion. He was afraid that Manfred would scare away the
spiritual beasts of heaven and earth.
"Come on! Kill them!"
The two were extremely thrilled. They never dreamed of seeing so many spiritual beasts of heaven and
earth gathered there.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Without hesitation, the two men pounced on the powerful beasts.
Bang! Bang!
Two muffled sounds reached Darren's ears.
At that very moment, he saw Justin and Manfred quickly retreat, leaving two streaks of blood in the air.
