CHAPTER 733 THE GENERAL'S ORDER (PART ONE)
"My Lord, I was discourteous. Please forgive me if I have offended you!" Darren expressed uneasily
and promptly got down on one knee. Regret was clearly evident in his whole being.
"Offended me? Not in the least! Please get up and stop making your heart troubled. Ha-ha! I knew you C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
meant no harm when being mad at me regarding the Cross Expeditionary Force. On the contrary, I see
it as a manifestation of your goodwill. How can I blame a man of good virtue? Please stop blaming
yourself and rise immediately!" Lord Donald paused and thoughtfully watched the young man kneeling
before him. Sighing, he purposely took a step forward and reached out right away to help Darren up by
the arm.
"Oh, come on. What is the use of drawing the blame to yourself when you are not at fault? It's all
because of the Cross Expeditionary Force. They are the ones that are responsible for this whole
drama," Elsa pointed out with a warm smile plastered on her face.
"Ha-ha! You are right!"
Hearing Elsa's outburst, both Darren and Lord Donald laughed in unison and good-naturedly nodded in
agreement.
So, without further platitudes and formalities, Lord Donald and Darren eventually sat down and soon
embarked on their council.
"Auberon, come out and show yourself!" Lord Donald commanded authoritatively as soon as he settled
himself. Then immediately after, Auberon came into everyone's sight in the room.
"What can I do for you, My Lord?" Auberon inquired almost immediately as he stooped low, showing
his deep respect for the lord.
"I dispatch you to check out the Cross Expeditionary Force straight away. If there is anything that they
are not doing based on the rule, have them provide a rational explanation. Otherwise, I should
suppress their evil spirits even if I have to send an army upon them!" Lord Donald instructed with a
grave expression on his face. His deep voice reverberated with expected firmness.
"Yes, sir!" Auberon solemnly responded as if everything was anticipated. And a moment later, he
efficiently turned around. He looked quite ready with the task given to him.
However, he did not just set off then. Instead, his gaze landed on Darren as his face remained solemn
and grave. A few seconds later, when he leisurely strode towards the door, he explicitly sent a
message to Darren. "Darren, good for you!"
"Thank you for the compliment! I am obliged to eliminate the evil and..."
Long before Darren could even finish his sentence, Auberon abruptly interrupted him, "Save your
breath, boy! I was talking about the girl you tricked. She is absolutely the most beautiful girl that I have
ever seen on the continent."
With these words, Auberon just disappeared without a trace, leaving Darren dumbstruck.
He didn't know why, but it rendered him speechless.
"Ha-ha, did you hear that? He said that you are blessed having me. Now tell me! Do you love me?"
Elsa chimed in after she overheard their small talk. She was wearing a big smile on her face as she
sauntered to Darren. The delight she felt in her heart was showing with the way she grinned from ear to
ear.
"Of course. I love you!" Darren professed while holding Elsa gently in his arms. His eyes softened as
he stared at her beautiful face intently.
"That's enough! Watching you two clinging to each other makes me feel sick and a bit awkward. But
honestly, when are you two going to get married?" Lord Donald cheerfully asked them with a sly smile
akin to teasing them. He seemed to be fond of this couple.
"When all the things are rightfully done, and when we get some free time, we will soon arrange the
marriage," Darren confided as he softly fondled Elsa's rippling hair. He was quite surprised that he was
actually looking forward to it.
"Who wants to marry you? Don't you feel shameless?" flushed, Elsa quickly retorted.
"We have already slept together, then why can't we get married?" Darren blurted out innocently.
"You!" Elsa was stunned for a moment as her face turned red to the ears. She timidly pinched his arm,
pouted her lips and muttered something barely audible in her shyness.
Lord Donald couldn't help beaming at the two. Glancing at his side, he casually asked the maids to
serve the best wines. While they were enjoying their drinks, they conscientiously reached an
agreement that they would send Nate home.
Sometime in the afternoon, a few unexpected visitors suddenly arrived at the Sacred Palace.
There were three of them, all impeccably dressed in golden armors, barged into the Sacred Palace.
"Eason Ye, how dare you invade my Sacred Palace?"
Lord Donald roared. He felt angry by their sudden appearance. "What? Lord Donald, why don't you just
hand my person over before putting the blame on me?" the one, who was standing at the head,
countered coldly.
As they stood there, rigidly upright and proud, Darren had sensed that these three men, who were
exuding killing intent all over their bodies, were much more terrifying than those members of the Cross
Expeditionary Force that he had killed.
"Hand over whom?" Undeterred by their frightening suppression, Lord Donald demanded in a level
tone that sounded so strange that Darren didn't ever remember hearing such a tongue from him.
"The one who killed the team members of my Cross Expeditionary Force, of course. And if I guess it
right, this man should be the one I want," Eason Ye requested, pointing bluntly at Darren.
"I got it," Lord Donald nodded and implied. "So you think he killed your team members, right? But did
he try to kill you?"
"Lord Donald, don't talk nonsense! Just hand him over!" Eason Ye interjected. His attitude was cold and
arrogant, and his words were mean.
"Don't worry, Eason. If I remember correctly, you are the general of the Third Army, under the command
of Edwin Ye, right?" Lord Donald calmly pursued.
Eason Ye snorted with anger, and he felt restless and annoyed. "I told you. Don't talk nonsense! Hand
over that brat or your Sacred Palace will be demolished!" he thundered, looking stubbornly straight into
Lord Donald's eyes.
"That's great," Lord Donald commented dismissively. He still didn't give his consent.
Just as Eason was about to draw out his weapon in wrath, Lord Donald suddenly vanished from his
seat. And when he reappeared again, Eason's head had already exploded.
"You don't deserve to be a general. How dare you threaten me like that? It is no exaggeration to end
your life here. Throw his body out!" in a tone of voice as calm and flat as ever, Lord Donald ordered his
men.
While Darren, who keenly observed the exchange of words between the two, stared at Lord Donald
with total disbelief showing in his eyes. He didn't expect the ever kind and amiable lord to kill someone
today.
