CHAPTER 1422 CONCEALMENT
Soon, Darren caught up with the six young men in grey robes, who had been flying in a hurry.
"Stop!" Darren shouted.
All six men turned around, but they took only one look at Darren. Upon seeing him, they faced forward
once more and continued on their way.
Whoosh!
Darren sped up and dashed in front of them.
He could finally see their faces clearly, and he was overjoyed! These were the law enforcing disciples
who had taken Elsa away.
"Mister, what can I do for you?"
The leading young man in a grey robe bowed to Darren. He seemed polite, but there was a hint of
coldness in his eyes.
"Do you still remember me?" Darren asked, raising his head.
"You look familiar. I think maybe I've met you somewhere before," one of the young men replied.
"It's him!"
Someone finally remembered who he was.
The weakest cultivators in the Primitive Wilderness were at the Primary God Realm. Almost every one
of them was gifted with an extraordinarily retentive memory. It took a few minutes for their memories to
come back to them, but they finally knew where they had seen Darren before.
"You're still alive?"
The leading disciple looked at Darren in surprise.
It was not until he blurted it out that he realized how silly he sounded.
"Tell me, why did you come to us?"
The law enforcers regained their composure. They wondered if Darren came to make trouble for them
because of their decision not to save him.
"Don't be nervous. I'm not looking for a fight. I'm just looking for my wife. She was the girl you took
away," Darren said.
"Elsa?"
"Yes!" For some reason, Darren became nervous. Many years had passed. He didn't know if Elsa was
safe and sound.
"You are too late," the leading disciple said, shaking his head.
Darren suddenly felt a pang in his heart. He grabbed the disciple's collar with one hand.
"What are you doing?"
The rest of the disciples all pointed their spears at Darren.
"Tell me! What happened to Elsa?" Darren's aura became extremely terrifying, and he looked like a
feral beast.
Feeling the strong pressure coming from Darren, the people felt like kneeling before him.
"Relax! She just left! You just missed her... Ahem!" The disciple had almost suffocated.
It was not until he heard this that Darren loosened his grip on the disciple's neck.
"I'm sorry." Darren shook his head to calm himself down. He had thought something bad had happened
to Elsa, which made him extremely agitated.
"Brat, can you say what you need to say right away? My boss might kill you by accident the next time."
Weber glared at the disciple.
"You know what happened at that time. It was not that we didn't want to save you. We simply didn't
have the power to. After all, we were merely low-level law enforcers." The leading disciple didn't get
angry at Weber's words. He became more polite to Darren.
"I don't care about that. I just want to know what happened to my wife. Where is she? When did she
leave?" Darren asked.
"After we saved her and took her back, our seniors arranged for her to cultivate in the Cloud
Refinement Mountain. She successfully passed the test of the Cloud Refinement Sect and went down
the mountain alone after cultivating for less than ten years. We don't know where she is. You'd better
go to the Cloud Refinement Mountain to ask around about her," said the leading disciple.
Hearing the news about Elsa, Darren exhaled a sigh of relief. However, he was also worried.
Elsa had left alone, probably to go find him. What should he do?
"Where is the Cloud Refinement Mountain?" Darren asked.
"Here's the map. It's three thousand kilometers away from the north of the city. It will take you two
hours at most to fly there." The disciple handed Darren a sheepskin map.
"Thank you."
After taking the map, Darren turned around and flew away quickly.
The disciples breathed a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat off of their foreheads.
They had been suppressed by the strange aura of blade and sword from Darren just now. It was a
frightening feeling, and they did not wish to endure it again.
"If he doesn't get any useful information, will he make a scene at the Cloud Refinement Sect?"
"Maybe. I don't think he'll get any useful information. He may get angry and tear things up. Let's hurry
up and report this to the superior."
"You go back to our hall to inform them of this matter."
"Okay!"
Three thousand kilometers away from the north of the main city, a towering mountain stood, tall and
imposing.
Darren flew as fast as he could and soon found himself on the side of the mountain.
Four walls had been dug out from halfway up the mountain. There were numerous caves on the walls,
all used for cultivation.
Darren flew directly to the top of the mountain where the hall of the Cloud Refinement Sect was
located.
"Who are you?"
Bang!
Two men had flown toward Darren, but he hit them backward. He did not hurt them, but the men were
in shock.
"I'm Darren Chu. I have something to talk about with your sect leader."
The Cloud Refinement Sect was a middle level sect, and it did not have that many powerful warriors.
There were few powerful warriors who would be able to suppress Darren.
In the entire Cloud Refinement Sect, there were only two masters at the upper-level of the Celestial
God Realm.
After saying that, Darren flew straight into the hall. He landed in the middle of a square.
Numerous figures flew over in a flash and surrounded him.
"Buddy, trespassing into our sect is a capital crime. You'd better leave right now, or you will face the
consequences."
"Ask your sect leader to come out." Darren's blade and sword intents circled around his body, exuding
a very terrifying aura.
"The Celestial God Realm?"
Those people were startled by Darren's show of skill. He was not someone they could easily defeat.
"Ha! Young man, why do you want to see me?"
A middle-aged man in a cyan robe suddenly appeared. He floated toward Darren and landed in front of
him.
"You are the sect leader?"
"Yes. I am Nasir Mei, the leader of the Cloud Refinement Sect."
"That's good. I'm here to ask you about a person. I promise to leave as soon as I have my questions
answered," Darren said frankly.
"Oh? Who do you want to ask about? As long as the person is in our sect, I will be able to give you the
information you seek,"
Nasir Mei said. He could feel that Darren was not an ordinary person. As long as he didn't come to
make trouble, he would try his best to be polite and cater to his needs.
"Thank you." Darren cupped his hands. "A few decades ago, a disciple named Elsa Gongsun came to
your sect. Do you know about that?"
Nasir Mei seemed to begin searching his memory. "I don't remember such a disciple. Elder Liu, check if
we have had a disciple named Elsa Gongsun."
"Yes, sir." The elder bowed and retreated immediately. However, before he left, he gave Nasir Mei a
strange glance. Darren noticed this.
"You don't have to hide anything. I'm not here to make trouble. You just need to tell me where she is,"
Darren said, his voice getting colder.
As a master at the Celestial God Realm, Nasir Mei definitely had the ability to remember everything he
had ever seen. He did not need someone else to get him the information he wanted.
He had pretended he didn't remember. It was strange that he did that. He was obviously hiding Content provided by .
something.
"Young man, I don't like what you said. No matter how weak I am, I am still the leader of the sect. I'm
not someone that you can treat poorly. You have really made me angry. Get out of my sect!" Nasir Mei
said, waving his sleeves. He wore a sullen expression on his face, and he appeared tense.
Darren sneered. Nasir's attitude toward him had changed too fast. There must be something wrong.
"Will you tell me? If you don't tell me, I'll kill you!"
Darren had had enough. He needed to know where Elsa was, once and for all, even if it meant having
to kill people to get to her!
