CHAPTER 1342 VANQUISHED
Merle rushed over, without hesitation, to launch an attack from behind on Turan.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
He delivered tens of thousands of blows into his back, the rumblings from the strikes like a hundred
horses galloping across hard ground.
The punches might not have caused much harm to Turan, but they had at least grabbed his attention.
The Rule Soul Avatar took this opportunity to use the Hiding Law once more and conceal himself.
It had all happened so fast. Turan had only lost his focus for a mere moment and when he turned
around again, the Rule Soul Avatar had vanished. He clenched his fists in frustration and decided to
take all his anger out on Merle, who, unfortunately for him, was still behind Turan.
Bang!
The claw struck Merle cleanly, crushing his body to pieces.
Merle was quite incensed to have died again; death was obviously never a pleasant experience.
It was no surprise that the Rule Soul Avatar's Resurrection Force soon surrounded his shattered body.
Merle had now died twice. Even if he was brought back to life again, he would be extremely weak. If he
was killed a third time, the Rule Soul Avatar might not be able to save him.
The Rule Soul Avatar was aware of this and so, once Merle's body had gathered back together, he hid
him as well.
But his safety was far from guaranteed. Turan had managed to pull the Rule Soul Avatar out of hiding
earlier and Merle was much weaker than he was. There was no way he could stay hidden forever.
The Rule Soul Avatar had to make his move fast and kill Turan as soon as possible. Dragging this fight
out would do them no good.
The Rule Soul Avatar weaved his way around, staying hidden and waiting for his chance to strike.
Furious, Turan hoisted the huge pillar up and swept it around the space, trying to find the humans.
However, the Rule Soul Avatar dodged it nimbly; he would not let it be so easy to knock him out of
hiding this time.
Merle followed the Rule Soul Avatar closely, growing angst taking over his body. His heart thumped
heavily with fear, feeling every second like he was about to be smashed once more.
The Rule Soul Avatar spent a long while biding his time before he finally found the right opportunity to
strike.
He activated the law force and launched a vicious attack on Turan.
Turan let out a deafening roar when he took the hit.
He could not fight back against the bombardment of law force and almost lost his mind because of his
inability to escape.
He endured this torture for a few hours before it thankfully came to an end.
Turan hovered in the air, trembling. There was not a visible inch of his body left untouched, black blood
constantly gushed from his countless wounds.
"Superior fiend, I, Turan, humbly beg you to accept my request. I wish for you to come forward and
punish these two human beings who have intruded into the land of our race."
Turan knelt in the air and prayed desperately, realizing there was no other option left to him.
A gloomy sense of foreboding crept up on the Rule Soul Avatar as he watched him. This fiend
appeared to be calling for help from stronger fiends!
Killing Turan alone was hard enough, if there was a stronger opponent still to join him, he and Merle
would surely die here.
Swish!
The Rule Soul Avatar activated his silvery eyes, searching among the thousands of law silk threads.
Eventually he found what he was looking for and captured the words Turan had spoken.
He unleashed his Spirit Power and tore the prayers to pieces and let them fade away into nothingness.
Turan's message would never reach its intended recipient and he'd be left, stuck here, cold and alone.
Whoosh!
The Rule Soul Avatar flew out and revealed himself, poised to strike.
"Killing! Destruction! Tribulation thunder! Trap!"
He released all he had, filling his surroundings with intense, raging law power.
Turan's fiendish sense allowed him to pinpoint the Rule Soul Avatar's position the second he came out
of hiding.
Bang!
He grabbed another big black pillar and lifted into the air, charging at the Rule Soul Avatar, tearing his
way through all the violent laws in his path with his powerful body.
The Rule Soul Avatar's mind was running wild as he got the feeling that his law power would not be
enough to kill this fiend.
It was too dangerous!
He wanted to get out of the way but it was already too late. The massive black pillar was already
plummeting down on him, nothing slowing it down. He was in serious trouble now.
If he took the blow head on, he'd be destroyed without even getting the chance to activate the
Resurrection Force!
Suddenly, five black pagodas appeared in front of him.
It had been a long time since he'd used this skill.
When they were on the Lothlann Continent, Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar had entered a Flaming
Hell at the same time and he had refined the five black pagodas. He had used it once when he had
fought Xavier back there.
Now though, numerous black iron chains shot out from the pagodas.
Driven by the Rule Soul Avatar's Spirit Power, the pagodas were millions of times stronger than before.
Crack.
The iron chains whipped Turan hard, a sharp crack sounding as it struck him.
"It can't be!"
The feel of the Flaming Hell's aura had Turan stunned.
It was the stuff of nightmares for both the fiend and Shura race.
The chains left wounds all over his body so deep that his bones were now clearly visible.
Not only was he terribly injured, but the aura of the Flaming Hell attached to the black iron chains
caused his wounds to fester rapidly.
Frightened and fearing for his life, Turan flipped backwards madly in retreat.
The Rule Soul Avatar sensed his fear and quickly came to the realization that these pagodas were
capable of seriously injuring this fiend.
With this new knowledge, he gathered all his Spirit Power and commanded the five black pagodas to
chase after Turan.
Like thousands of hands reaching out to grab on and take him to his end, the black iron chains lashed
out at Turan.
"He is so incredibly powerful!"
Merle looked on at what the Rule Soul Avatar was doing and could not help but envy his skills.
Most impressively, he had only just entered the Celestial God Realm, but he was able to push such a
powerful fiend to his limit. The Rule Soul Avatar's talent seemed beyond imagination.
As he was surrounded by the five black pagodas, Turan had no way to get out.
The Rule Soul Avatar then activated the violent law forces and rained down an intense assault on
Turan.
"Ah!"
Turan yelled out in pain as he felt his life draining away from him quickly.
"Human?"
Just then, a figure descended from afar.
It was a fiend. He donned a suit of armor and looked similar to humans.
"Yushua. Your timing is immaculate. Kill this human!"
squealed Turan, seeing a glimmer of hope for his survival.
But to his surprise, Yushua did nothing, but moved back several thousand feet away.
"Turan, this human has almost killed you. What makes you think I would want to get into this sort of
trouble?"
It seemed Yushua was no fool. Seeing the beating Turan had taken was enough to convince him of this
human's power. He knew he and Turan were no match for him.
Yushua retreated, immediately sending out a message in an attempt to summon superior fiends for
backup.
The Rule Soul Avatar blocked his message right away, allowing nothing to escape, and at the same
time struck out without warning at Yushua using the tribulation thunder. owns this.
Yushua sensed the terrifying power racing towards him and tried to escape.
But the speed of the tribulation thunder was too fast and crashed into him before he knew it.
"No!"
Yushua felt his soul crumbling away. He could not believe what was happening. He had only come over
to survey the situation; he had not expected that he'd be struck down without even a slight chance of
escape.
In an instant, the tribulation thunder took his life.
"Here's my chance!"
Merle sprung out of hiding and sprinted desperately for Yushua's corpse.
"Merging!"
A mysterious power radiated from the essence bead inside Merle's body, penetrating into Yushua's
corpse.
"Ah!"
Merle grunted and twisted his face in anguish as he pushed through this painful process. His face and
body had changed quickly and sharp thorns sprouted out from his back.
This was the grotesque process of transformation that took place from merging with Yushua's body.
The Rule Soul Avatar floated in the air on the opposite side, looking at the five black pagodas not far off
with an icy stare frozen onto his face.
"He's gotten away!"
The Rule Soul Avatar frowned. Turan had escaped when he was getting rid of Yushua!
