CHAPTER 1371 DEVIL MUSCLED TURTLE (PART ONE)

"Hey, Weber! What's wrong with your battle beast? Why is it behaving like this?" Darren asked with a

frown as the Thunder Cloud Bird continued to fly violently.

"Don't mind it. It's just that there are quite too many strangers riding on it, so it's a little angry," Weber

said with a seemingly forced smile.

"Hey, Thunder Cloud Bird, behave yourself and fly well, will you?" Weber said in an authoritative tone.

Whoosh!

However, the moment Weber said those words, the battle beast became more violent and flew wildly in

the air.

"Everybody! Hold tight, or you'll fall!"

The young talents were almost shaken off as the giant bird flailed rashly.

"Weber, can't you do anything to make it calm down?" Sally was scared silly while holding tightly on the

feathers of the Thunder Cloud Bird.

"Just take it easy. This bird is actually very tamed. I think it's just playing around. Don't be afrai—"

Before Weber could even finish what he was saying, the battle beast suddenly turned around and

changed its trajectory. It was now flying straight back to the black shadow that was chasing after them.

"Oh god! What are you doing? Not that way! Turn around and escape from that thing!" Weber's face

turned pale with the sudden action of the huge bird.

"Hey, dear bird? Can you hear me?" Weber almost burst out into tears upon realizing that the battle

beast wasn't listening to him anymore. "All right, I'm sorry! It's my fault, okay? I'll kowtow to you a few

more times. Just turn around and do what I say."

Darren and the rest were utterly shocked upon hearing what Weber said to the battle beast.

'What? Did he mean that he kowtowed to the bird before?' all of them couldn't help but wonder.

"Come on! I already said that I was wrong. Please don't rush in this direction!"

However, no matter how hard Weber pleaded, the Thunder Cloud Bird just ignored everything he said

and just continued rushing towards the black shadow at its top speed.

Seeing that the battle beast had already gone out of control, everyone panicked and was sure that the

huge bird was attempting to collide against the black shadow.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

At this moment, the other young talents already had no choice but to fly away from the Thunder Cloud

Bird. Fortunately, their battle beasts were still following them, so they landed back on them.

"See? I told you that my battle beast was just shy around several strangers. Now, everything's fine. You

all saw what happened back there. I tried to save them just like you said, but we almost died instead."

Weber's confidence had somehow returned upon seeing that the Thunder Cloud Bird had finally

calmed down after a lot of people had gotten off its back.

"We can't celebrate yet, Weber! Your battle beast is still flying straight towards the black shadow!" Sally

shouted at Weber to regain his senses.

She was indeed right. The Thunder Cloud Bird did calm down and was already flying steadily, but its

direction still didn't change.

Then, out of nowhere, a blade radiance cut through the air.Belonging to .

"Move away from the bird!"

Darren quickly instructed them.

"You don't have to do that. Please trust my battle beast!" Weber still had a lot of faith with the huge bird

and remained on its back.

"Ouch!"

Suddenly, Weber let out a shrilling scream as if he was being butchered. It turned out that his left

shoulder was slashed by the blade radiance.

"Damn it, you stupid bird! Go to hell!" As soon as he acquired an injury, Weber quickly ran away from it.

Darren caught him in midair and Eallard manipulated a battle beast to pick Darren and his companions

up.

At the same time, the Thunder Cloud Bird roared a few times and stared down at them

condescendingly before it flew away.

"Damn it! How dare that bird look down on us while running away." The disappointment in Weber's face

was very visible, and at the same time, despair also filled his heart. There were only a few times in his

life that people had depended on him. But in the end, he still blew it and was almost killed in the

process.

Seeing the injury on Weber's shoulder, Darren and his companions immediately released their god's

power to treat his wounds. The others also released their god's power in order to cure Weber quickly.

"I'm sorry, Weber. We didn't know that the bird had such a temper," Eallard apologized. He knew that

the bird might not have become angry if not all of them rode on its back.

"Forget it. I swear I'm fine. I don't want to be bullied by that stupid bird any longer. Can you even

believe that it made me kowtow in front of it several times? It's so humiliating." Weber let out a bitter

smile as he remembered how he managed to gain control of the Thunder Cloud Bird.

Roar!

At this moment, the black shadow had finally caught up and stood firmly in front of them.

Their faces became serious as fear started creeping beneath their skin. Right now, they had no way to

escape this creature. "Screw it! Let's fight to the death!"

They thought that if they were going to die, they might at least do it while trying their best to fight back.

Roar! Roar!

Their battle beasts let out violent roars, implicating that they were also ready to battle it out.

"Attack!"

One of the young talents ordered their battle beast to rush out first.

Swoosh!

Swoosh!

"Damn it! Help me treat it quickly!"

The talents who controlled the phantom battle beast behind them instantly activated their skills. A few

rays of green light enveloped the defeated battle beast and healed its body. However, even if they

restored its body into its original state, its power would still greatly decrease.

"Go! Attack!"

Another ten battle beasts rushed out and attacked the black shadow from different directions.
