CHAPTER 538 THAT IS BAD (PART ONE)
By now, Darren had realized that more than one hundred ruthless creatures whose attention was
drawn and focused on defeating him were all top-level of four-star grand warriors. He knew he had to
face and defeat each one of them now, or else it would be the other way around.
However, as he gauged the way the creatures fought, in all honesty, Darren admitted that he couldn't
defeat them. Though his skills and capabilities were exceptional, the ruthless creatures, on the one
hand, didn't seem to feel tired and pained. Each of them would fight to the end of their lives. As such, Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
they were much more horrible than the humans at the same level.
Despite that fact, it was apparent that Darren had figured out how to deal with them. He had worked out
a plan in mind on how to send the ruthless creatures to their doom.
Previously, when Darren entered the Starry Tower, he had tried and succeeded in activating the
Ancient Void Battlefield; he made sure it could be of use any moment the need arose. Holding on to
that notion, Darren didn't worry much about the creatures, for he had the Ancient Void Battlefield as an
escape route in case things got messy.
At the moment, with their teeth clenched in anger, the ruthless creatures were chasing after Darren.
The power they unleashed as they ran after him was dominating and devastating in the same manner.
"What reckless things does Darren plan to do? Does he want to die?"
Anna said after she saw that situation, not understanding what Darren was going to do. All this time,
while watching Darren struggle with the creatures, Anna couldn't help but feel annoyed at how he
handled the enemies and even thought that Darren must be killed.
Just then, Darren had been cornered and surrounded in a split second. Soon enough, countless metal
fists punched him, leaving no part of his body untouched. He was in a helpless situation that even if he
used his teleportation skill, Darren still couldn't get away from the fists. Instead, he just let the
numerous and massive fists rain on him and just winced in pain.
"Open the Ancient Void Battlefield!"
Sensing that it was high time that he put his plan into action, Darren executed the force of control and
opened the Ancient Void Battlefield. In a matter of seconds, an enormous surge of power was felt. The
creatures ceased their attack and looked around them as if searching for an unseen enemy.
Before they knew it, the ruthless creatures let out a metallic roar and began to resist as soon as they
felt a force pulling them.
The force was powerful that in a flash, all of the ruthless creatures were dragged into the Ancient Void
Battlefield in no time. After the creatures vanished, the darkened space brightened instantly as if a
blanket that covered its glow had been lifted off from the sun.
With all these things commencing on the battlefield, Anna, who was watching from a distance, was
wide-eyed with astonishment. She couldn't believe her eyes for all that she had witnessed.
"You...?!" Not being able to wrap her head around what was happening, Anna was speechless and
didn't know what to say.
As things started to settle and calm down on the battlefield, Darren flew over to where Anna was
standing. As he drew closer, Anna gawked out in surprise, "You own a small world? Oh, my goddess!"
"Why is it that strange?" with a furrowed brow, Darren asked calmly. He preferred to answer Anna's
question with yet another question.
"Wait a minute! When you fought with me, why didn't you use your small world?" still baffled by the way
things turned out, Anna asked. But her tone was more courteous this time, and her query didn't include
foul words such as "shameless", "bastard" and "idiot" like she used to address Darren.
"Why? Do you need it? I don't think it's necessary. Moreover, although I didn't use it, I managed to
trounce you," Darren retorted, making fun of Anna.
"Huh! What do you mean by that? And, what's with that smug expression on your face about?" Feeling
a bit insulted by Darren's words, Anna snorted. But, a faint smile was on her face, rather than scorn, for
she knew that Darren was just teasing her.
After hearing her remarks, Darren glanced at her and thought that this woman was really fickle. There
was something in her that made her unique in her own way. Darren was intrigued at how her attitude
immediately changed when she realized that he did have some true skills to beat her.
"Hey, I am sorry. I didn't expect that you were really powerful. I decided to forgive you now." While
saying that, Anna flew closer to Darren and extended her white hands towards him in a truce.
Seeing her action, Darren ignored her and turned his back towards her. He began to look for the so-
called "time turbulent flows."
"What a temper!"
Anna burst out, taken aback at Darren's show of rudeness. But Darren didn't mind her and still brushed
her off. Just as he wanted to fly away, he suddenly remembered something that brought him out in a
cold sweat.
"Damn it!" At the thought of it, Darren growled and flew into the Ancient Void Battlefield at once.
As he had planned about it, Darren originally wanted to give those ruthless creatures for Finley to deal
with. However, as he remembered that the Water Kylin once told him that Finley was in closed-door
cultivation, Darren sprang up to his feet and hurried inside the Ancient Void Battlefield in haste. If Finley
wasn't there to guard the Ancient Void Battlefield, those creatures would have destroyed it.
The instant Darren entered into the Ancient Void Battlefield. The Water Kylin, with a worried and
disheveled face, welcomed him momentarily.
"Master, help me, please! They're too strong."
Darren saw how the creatures besieged the Water Kylin. Though the Water Kylin desperately
bombarded them with his blue lightning, only a few of the ruthless creatures were beaten back, and
others pounced on him again, knocking him to all their want.
