CHAPTER 910 THE ENCOUNTER
"Ha-ha! The Runic Bone is mine!"
A man with a strong aura took the bone into his hands.
The others looked at him with envy.
"Senior brother, you are so lucky to get it."
"Yes, he's right. It seems that our efforts were not in vain. The Runic Bone is very precious. With this
bone, senior brother, you will be able to trigger the fourth tribulation!"
The man put away the bone with a smile.
"I'll take this Runic Bone. But I promise that I'll give such a treasure to you if I find any of them again,"
the man said, pretending to be generous.
"Thank you, senior brother."
"Thank you."
Although everyone thanked him respectfully, they were secretly cursing him in their hearts. How would
they ever come across a second Runic Bone? It was such a rare and precious thing!
"Hey, guys, this treasure beast was killed by that man over there. I think that maybe he deserves to get
the Runic Bone,"
the young man stumbled out and said to the group of men as he pointed at Darren.
"Brat, where are you from?" the group of people sneered and asked.
"I'm Neal Du from Mega City," the young man replied.
"Are you from the Du Clan?" The man in the lead frowned. The young man's surname was Du and he
was from Mega City. These two points implied that he had something to do with the Governor of Mega
City.
"What is the relationship between you and Governor Du?"
"He is my uncle," Neal replied matter-of-factly.
The faces of these people changed slightly. 'This brat really has something to do with the Governor of
Mega City, ' they thought. The Governor of Mega City was a half-step emperor at the top level.
Everyone in other cities respected him.
"I see... So you are a direct descendant of the Du Clan."
"Gentlemen, that young man over there saved my life just now. Please give the Runic Bone back to
him for my sake," Neal said as he clasped his hands together.
"Ha-ha!"
The young man who took the lead of the group sneered. "You were in danger just a while ago. We
risked our lives to save you. I think it's only fair and logical that the bone now belongs to us. How can
we give it to other people? I'm sorry. We can't agree to your silly request."
"You...!" Neal flashed a fierce look, but then quickly concealed it. "When did you save me? From what I
saw, you wanted to forcibly claim the Runic Bone!"
The young man raised his hand and slapped Neal without hesitation.
Bang!
"I'd back off if I were you! If you really insist on taking away my Runic Bone, I won't think twice about
sending you straight to hell! Back off, you brat!" the man threatened as he glowered fiercely.
At that time, Darren flew over silently, Chaz following closely behind him.
"Hey, man, since you've already successfully robbed something that isn't yours, there's no need to beat
the young man, is there?" Darren said coldly, standing in front of the leader of the group.
Everyone's spiritual sense swept over Darren and found that he was only a junior holy warrior. There
was no sign in his body showing that he was a tribulation warrior. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
In the world of the eighteen cities, all the people who did not enter the Holy Realm by surviving the
tribulations were basically considered as rubbish. In their eyes, Darren was practically good for nothing.
But once they detected Chaz's body with their spiritual sense, they became tense. There was a
powerful man who was actually a four-tribulation junior holy warrior right in front of them.
Yet, the strongest among the group of men was the one who had taken the Runic Bone, and he was
only a three-tribulation junior holy warrior.
"Brat, don't think you can be arrogant in front of me just because you have the guard of a four-
tribulation junior holy warrior," the man who got the bone said ruthlessly.
"I advise you to get out of here now, or I will kill you no matter how the four-tribulation junior holy
warrior tries to protect you!"
He was confident that as a three-tribulation junior holy warrior at the top level, he could easily kill an
ordinary junior holy warrior. Even the master beside him wouldn't be enough to stop his attack.
Moreover, he had four three-tribulation junior holy warriors at the top level by his side!
"You've gone too far!" Neal shouted. "If you continue to act like this, I'll tell my uncle about this when I
get back. You're going to pay for this!"
"Ha ha ha! Now that you've put it that way, we really can't let you go anymore."
Suddenly, a homicidal intent was rising from the man in the lead.
Neal was only an inferior holy warrior. When he faced the killing intent of so many masters, his face
turned increasingly pale and his body began to tremble.
"Kill him!" the man, as the leader of the group, shouted. At once, a man behind him rushed at Neal.
"Stop!"
Another dozen figures flew towards the group of people.
Out of nowhere, a sword flew in the air and blocked the attack directed towards Neal.
"W-what!? Who did that?!"
A voice sounded. "I'm the disciple of Holy City, Arvin Jiang. Stop your attack now!" After that, a dozen
people fell on the ground.
"Neal, are you all right?" One of them flew over and helped Neal to stand up.
Neal's face was filled with joy. Mega City had always been on good terms with Holy City and the two
cities had a lot of communications. Thus, he knew some of the men who came to rescue him. Seeing
them here made him feel at ease.
"I'm fine. These people were too arrogant. Not only did they rob the Runic Bone, but they also wanted
to kill me!"
All the disciples of Holy City cast a cold glance at the group of men who were harassing Neal.
"It turns out you are the scum from Blue Cloud City. Hand over the Runic Bone and get out of here.
Otherwise, we won't hesitate to kill you," a disciple of Holy City roared.
The people on the opposite side were furious, but they didn't dare to make a move.
This group of disciples from Holy City was no weaker than them, and there were two additional
strangers present. The person in black armor was a four-tribulation junior holy warrior. If they were to
fight against so many warriors, they would definitely suffer a great loss.
"Let's go!"
The members of Blue Cloud City immediately sped up and escaped.
"Let's wait and see. Death awaits you all at the Thundering Beast Land!"
the leader of the Blue Cloud City group threatened as he and his men disappeared.
The disciples of Holy City didn't go after them. After all, their opponents were not weak. It was a
smarter move to just let them go.
"Neal, why are you here in such a dangerous place?"
"Alas! It's all my fault. I invited my friends to the Thundering Beast Land for treasure-hunting, but they
all died in such a dangerous area." Tears welled up in the boy's eyes.
"You are too impulsive. Fortunately, you are still alive. Don't run around now. Come back with us in a
few days."
"Yes." The young man nodded with tears. Then he walked over to Darren. "Sir, thank you very much for
saving my life," he said with sincerity.
"Don't mention it," Darren said indifferently.
The disciples of Holy City turned around and looked at Darren. After some simple detection, they felt a
little bit disdainful for the fact that Darren had reached such a low level.
"You are just an ordinary junior holy warrior. How can you kill a treasure beast? The man beside you
did it, right?" one of the disciples from Holy City said.
"It doesn't matter who did it. The important thing here is that this young man survived; don't you think
so?" Darren said dryly.
"You want to know what I think? I think you're too rude!" the disciple of Holy City said coldly.
"Huh." Darren shot him a contemptuous glance as if he was an idiot. "You know exactly who is truly
rude," he said.
"Humph! You want to die?!" The disciple was furious and was about to make a move.
"No! Just let him go!" Arvin Jiang pressed the angry disciple's shoulder. "We still have to look for that
guy. There's no time to waste. Let them go."
He gave Darren a cold look and said nothing more.
"Hey, where on earth is that good-for-nothing brat named Darren? I'm afraid it's impossible for us to find
him in this area," someone sighed.
