CHAPTER 641 MOVE ON
"Don't you know him, Elder Ivan?" Hobson asked curiously.
Darren stepped forward and bowed to them. "Thank you for meeting with me, elders. I'm Darren Chu, a
new disciple of the Dragon Chasing Sect. When Elder Elliot noticed my talent, he arranged for me to
come here."
The elders looked grim when they heard Darren's explanation.
"Elliot! This must be his doing. That bastard. I didn't get even with him the last time he sent trash here.
Now, he has sent us another one," Ivan snapped. Killing intent laced his voice.
"Come here so that I can check your cultivation base," Elder Walt said coldly. From their experience,
even if a newcomer's talent was high, their strength was unimpressive.
"Yes,"
Darren replied as he calmly stepped forward.
Ivan stretched his hand and pressed his palm on Darren's shoulder.
"Activate your strength," Ivan snapped. His expression was grim as if warning Darren that he would be
crushed to death if he failed.
It was clear that Ivan couldn't recognize Darren. However, if Darren used the blade and sword intents
or dark gold internal force, Ivan would see through Darren's trick.
Fortunately, Darren had more methods through which to show his strength. He could use his demonic
internal force and the aura of the dragon blood.
Darren's body began to tremble as a cold cyan breath enveloped his body.
Then the breath turned into a violent wind. Ivan's hand which was pressing on Darren's shoulder, was
nearly pushed away.
"Wow, this guy seems very strong."
"Ivan, why did I feel the breath of a dragon just now?" Elder Walt asked.
"Let me check him," the old man with the most powerful aura said flatly.
"Yes, Chief Elder." The other two elders spoke reverently.
The Chief Elder also placed his palm on Darren's shoulder.
This time, Darren activated both his demonic internal force and the aura of the dragon blood in unison.
The power released forced the Chief Elder's palm away!
"How dare you?"
The elders behind the Chief Elder glared at Darren as they shouted. But the Chief Elder waved his
hand to stop them.
"Ha-ha, you are a promising young man! Now, follow us." The Chief Elder laughed when he sensed
Darren's strength.
"Yes, sir." Darren saluted.
As Darren was accepted by the elders of the Dragon Chasing Sect, he reminded himself that the
elders' intention for inviting him and Hobson to accompany them was not out of kindness. It was
possible that he would encounter some danger, or that these old guys would ask him or Hobson to
complete the test first. Pitifully, Hobson was actually happy about it.
However, it was beneficial to follow the elders. The weakest elder had comprehended seventy percent
of the Fringe Holy Will, while the Chief Elder had mastered ninety percent. They were very strong.
Because of their protection, Darren and Hobson wouldn't be killed in an instant if they encountered
some strong creatures.
Darren followed as the elders headed north. The elders often dispelled the mist they encountered along
the way with their Holy Will. It was surprising to see that one simple movement of their hand could clear
a 500-meter area.
"Elders, may I ask what are we looking for?"
After walking for a long time, the land was still flat and unchanged. Hobson didn't understand what the
elders sought, so he could not help but ask.
Darren didn't understand, either. How could there be any treasures or opportunities in this vast purple
region?
But what surprised him, even more, was that they had been very quiet all this time. They hadn't seen Belongs © to .
any of the monsters that Hobson had mentioned. The whole world was silent, and there was no
movement whatsoever.
"Don't ask. We don't know, either. Strong as we are, we should just keep searching,"
the Chief Elder responded as he took out a Jade Slip and began studying it.
"Chief Elder, wasn't this Jade Slip passed down by the previous generation? Could the route have
changed over time?"
"There is indeed some deviation. But that doesn't matter. The Jade Slip is only for reference. Now,
focus on finding the footprints."
When he heard this, Darren understood that their main purpose was to find the footprints left by the
mysterious old man.
"It was a great honor to have a holy warrior in the Dragon Chasing Sect before. But he went into the
forbidden zone at an old age and never emerged. And the Dragon Chasing Sect was no longer
powerful after his disappearance," an elder sighed.
"That is true. However, other sects also had holy warriors who went into the forbidden zone. And they
never returned, either. They were all a little weaker than the Dragon Chasing Sect's holy warrior,
though."
The elders started to chat.
"Wow, there is a pit!"
Hobson suddenly shouted. There was indeed an indistinct chasm in the near distance. However, it
didn't seem deep enough to be what the elders were looking for.
"Don't shout like that! You're in real big trouble? This is not a hole, okay? We are looking for a deep pit
with footprints," Ivan glared at Hobson. Even the other elders were dissatisfied with Hobson.
"No, it must be the site of the footprints. I think," Darren spoke.
"Nonsense!" Ivan roared.
"I'm serious. Look at this land, elder. It is as flat as a mirror. How is it that we have come across a small
area with bumps?
In my opinion, someone must have passed here before. They must have covered it with dust to avoid
being discovered. Look one hundred feet around the area. The dust on the ground is less than that in
other places," Darren said slowly.
"Your explanation sounds reasonable." The Chief Elder narrowed his eyes.
As the ground was darker than its surroundings, it was dangerous to enter the swamp without any
preparation.
The Chief Elder released his Fringe Holy Will. Soon, purple dust, like a whirlwind, soared.
After a while, when the dust settled, a deep pit surrounded by cracks appeared.
"Ha-ha, you found the footprint. Great!"
"You are a smart boy. Not bad."
The elders beamed with pleasure.
Darren sneered at the several idiots in his mind, 'Once I have a chance, I will kill you.'
"Come with me."
Several elders jumped into the deep pit.
The pit was about ten feet wide, and it was big enough for everyone to stand inside.
Darren and Hobson flew over as well. However, when Hobson landed, he almost hit an elder. The elder
shoved Hobson.
Surprised and unable to balance, half of Hobson's foot remained outside the deep pit. As soon as his
leg touched the ground, with a sizzling sound, it started to melt!
Seeing the terrible situation, Darren immediately dragged Hobson down.
"You!" Hobson glared at the elder who had pushed him.
"What? You almost bumped into me. Be grateful that I will not punish you for that. Do you have any
objections to what I've said?" This man was the weakest from among the elders, but he had
comprehended seventy percent of the Fringe Holy Will.
"No, it's not like that. I was too anxious after the accident. I'm sorry, elder," Hobson lowered his head
and apologized. But at that moment, Darren's eyes were filled with killing intent.
"Humph!" The elder snorted coldly and ignored Hobson.
"Thank you so much, Darren. You saved me again," Hobson said sincerely.
Darren nodded but remained silent.
When they reached the first deep pit, the Chief Elder, who was in front of them, released another
powerful punch. A second deep pit was revealed about a thousand feet away. The group flew over as
soon as they found the chasm.
As and when more footprints were revealed, the men continued to fly forward. After over twenty hours,
the ground in front of them was no longer flat. Some low purple mountains stood in the distance.
Whoosh!
Something flashed by as soon as they stopped.
"Stay alert. Those creatures might be here." The Chief Elder frowned as he released his spiritual sense
to probe the area in all directions.
