CHAPTER 1019 THE ENDING BATTLE (PART THREE)
The Rule Soul Avatar felt his life slipping away.
The Shura was different from the god's soul. He had a physical body and was extremely powerful, so
the Rule Soul Avatar could not use the Oath Rule to restrain him.
Bang!
The Rule Soul Avatar was blown away by the Shura Force.
If he hadn't used all of his rule force to resist the attack, he would have been smashed to pieces.
"Be my slave. I will forgive you."
The Shura took this as an opportunity to get such a powerful man to fall under his power.
"Never!"
The Rule Soul Avatar wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. His aura grew colder.
"Then die!"
The Shura would not let the Rule Soul Avatar go that quickly.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Several streams of Shura Force attacked the Rule Soul Avatar.
The Rule Soul Avatar had no way to escape. He murmured to himself and the black pagoda beside him
shot out a myriad of iron chains again.
The chains wrapped around the Rule Soul Avatar. The Shura Force rushed over and broke most of the
chains, but the Rule Soul Avatar wasn't killed.
The Rule Soul Avatar took his chance to divide himself into three and quickly entered three of the black
pagodas.
"Argh!" The Shura's anger burst out. He directed his attacks towards the black pagodas.
On the other side, Yahya was still trying to figure out the truth. He felt an excruciating pain in his head
and his whole body shook.
"You don't have to think about it anymore. Even if the Shura I brought is the one who killed you, it's still
impossible for you to kill him right now. You can't change the result of your fate."
Darren's words made Yahya raise his head.
Yahya smiled bitterly. "You are right. I can't kill the Shura. Everything is destined."
"What about us? Do we really have to be rivals?" asked Darren.
"I don't think so." Yahya shook his head. "It's my pleasure that you can inherit my Emperor Character.
There's no need for us to fight anymore."
"But if we don't fight to the death, the test won't end. Only one of us can survive," said Darren.
"That's true." Yahya looked despondent.
"Darren, I know my existence is not real, but before I die, I have a request."
"What is it?" Darren was confused.
"Go ahead," Darren answered.
"I have been alone for most of my life. I hope that when you and Hailey take my Emperor Characters,
you can consider me as your master, so that I may have successors," said Yahya.
Darren felt odd hearing this. The man standing in front of him was even younger than he was, and it felt
strange giving him the title of master.
He wondered about it further and he thought about how the real Yahya was a holy emperor who had
three Conflicting Cultivation methods. Since he got his Emperor Character, it was only right for him to
treat him as his master.
"Okay. I promise you."
"Alright. I can rest easy now." A smile flickered across Yahya's face. Then, three powers of Double
Cultivation shot out and pierced his own heart.
Darren's heart skipped a beat when he saw the fallen Yahya.
"Alas." Darren sighed. "Maybe it is for the best that we ended the test this way."
This Yahya wasn't real anyway. Even if he killed Darren, he would also just vanish into thin air. But if
Darren survived, Yahya would have a powerful successor.
Darren gave a sigh. It was unfortunate to see Yahya kill himself.
After he died, the gods' souls in his body would no longer exist. The law system of this ancient space
would soon collapse.
Darren bowed lightly to Yahya. Then, he flew towards the avatar.
Darren landed on the ground and shouted as loud as he could, "Shura, don't kill my avatar!"
"You have no right to interfere," the Shura replied coldly.
"Yes, I can't stop you with my strength, but I have a way to deal with you!"
As he spoke, Darren's figure flew close to the Shura.
The Shura's fists were still pounding on the black pagodas, and one of the pagodas was on the verge
of collapse.
Just as the Shura was about to hit the black pagoda once more, Darren stood in front of it.
With anger in his eyes, the Shura stopped.
"Go away," the Shura roared.
"No. If you wish to continue, you will have to go through me!" Darren looked straight into the eyes of the
Shura.
According to the Shura Contract, once the Shura attacked Darren, the law left by the Shura ancestor
would suppress him.
Shura had no choice but to avoid him and attack another black pagoda.
Darren quickly moved towards where the Shura was going and stood in front of him again.
These black pagodas were only a few meters apart. No matter how fast the Shura moved, Darren
could easily catch up with him and block his path.
This ancient area would disappear soon.
The avatar could escape as long as the Shura couldn't destroy the black pagodas.
"My real body, when the illusion world collapses, I will be buried in it. Take care of yourself,"
said the Rule Soul Avatar.
"How could that be? When this ancient area disappears, we will be back in our own era, won't we?"
Darren asked, confused.
"I'm in these pagodas, and I'm not restrained by time or space. If this space disappears and I continue
to stay in the pagodas, I won't be able to come back."
"Then come out."
"No. Once I step outside, I will be killed in an instant."
The Rule Soul Avatar's only chance of survival was to hide in the pagodas. The Shura would surely kill
him as soon as he got the chance to.
"Do you mean to say we'll be living in different timelines?"
"It seems so. But if I control these pagodas and go through the River of Forgetfulness, I might be able
to come back."
"Well, I have no other choice. Take care of yourself, alright?" Darren sighed.
"Yes.
Now you and I will be separated, there's something you have to know. You need to be careful." holds text © rights.
"Is it the secret about the mysterious warrior who underwent the thunder punishment for Conflicting
Cultivation?" Darren's heart skipped a beat.
"That's right." The Rule Soul Avatar thought for a moment and then said, "According to my prediction,
the one who went to a later age to undergo the thunder punishment probably wants to kill you."
"Kill me? Why?"
"Because he is probably you."
"He's...me?" Darren was surprised. He wanted to ask more questions but the space collapsed in an
instant. He could no longer communicate with the Rule Soul Avatar.
"Argh!"
The Shura failed in killing the Rule Soul Avatar. His rage boiled over.
His red eyes stared at Darren as if he was going to swallow him alive.
"It's useless for you to hate me. You can't kill me," Darren sneered.
"I can't kill you, but I know of something else that can." The blood light around his body receded and he
suddenly calmed down.
"Well, let's wait and see," Darren said calmly.
Then, he turned into a shadow and walked out of the holy emperor's tomb. Wherever he went, the rule
system of the holy emperor's tomb would automatically shatter, making it impossible for him to stop.
"It's over."
Darren looked around and found that he was in a stone chamber. To his left, he saw Hailey, lying down
in a coma.
At the center of the chamber was a crystal coffin.
