Chapter 1051 It's Him

CHAPTER 1051 IT'S HIM

As more powerful thunder punishment rained down on Darren, he could feel himself getting crushed by

its powerful aura.

This time, he couldn't rely on the Shura to help him because the latter had sustained serious injuries

after facing off the sea of thunder earlier.

The Shura himself knew this, so he was already trying to retreat desperately.

The first fiend ancestor had finally snapped out of his stupor and was trying to flee again. He didn't

know how he could get out of there, but it was the only thing he could think of.

On the other hand, Darren had already given up.

"You are too weak." ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

A voice echoed in the air. Its deep timbre shook the earth at its core.

From amid the chaos, a person jumped out to stand in front of Darren.

"Who are you?" Darren asked. He could feel his heart stuttering inside his chest.

He couldn't sense anything from this strange man. It was as if he was hiding the slightest fluctuation of

his power. Even the Shura couldn't do such thing.

What surprised Darren the most, however, was that the person's body was concealed behind yellow

fog. A fog that seemed to be full of sand. Such thing was hardly from this world.

They stood before each other for a while before the man sneered. He then began to walk over to the

void. His steps were deliberate and careful.

His next actions shocked Darren.

"No way!"

The man had grasped the black spear shaped like lightning with his bare hands. His grip was tight and

certain. The spear then disappeared into the air, shattering into powdery-fine fragments.

That was the thunder punishment of Heavenly Repression! Nobody, not even the Shura, could have

done that!

But this mysterious figure had crushed it with his bare hands!

'Is he from the Primitive Wilderness?' Darren wondered as he watched the person in complete awe.

Darren had met a lot of powerful warriors from the Primitive Wilderness, but none of them were at their

peak. Their true strength had been suppressed by laws or they were in form of remnant souls.

The strongest he met was the immortal that assimilated Elsa. She had both physical body and a soul.

But the man in front of him seemed to be stronger than the immortal!

The spear lightning's demise had brought a strong gust of wind. It blew furiously from the person's side,

forming a vortex that pulled in a heavy, dark cloud. It collided with the tribulation cloud, crashing into it

violently. The tribulation cloud was unable to resist such force and so it vanished into thin air.

All of a sudden, the sky turned clear.

"Thank you so much!" Astonished, Darren bowed to the sky.

"I come from the River of Forgetfulness. I'm here to kill you," the man said, catching Darren completely

off guard.

The announcement had stunned him for a moment, but he suddenly recalled why this person felt

familiar. "It's you! You're the one who led the thunder punishment to the ancient times!"

The man didn't answer. He only turned around and waded deeper into the air. His cold voice was

carried by the wind. "When you reach the Super Emperor Realm, it'll also be the day of your death."

A zap of electricity buzzed down to Darren's spine.

It was as if he was shocked.

'When I reach the Super Emperor Realm, I'll die?' Darren pondered on this.

He looked up, but there was no sign of the person. Everything was calm.

He landed back on the ground. Sadness descended upon him like dark clouds as he saw the ruined

land left after the battle.

The four greatest holy warriors had sacrificed their lives for him.

"Thank you." He kowtowed to the front three times.

"Phew!" With that, Darren gathered his remaining composure and tried to dispel the grief that took a

hold of his heart. It was the first fiend ancestor who had started this war. He had to find him and kill him.

The mysterious figure had to wait. Darren didn't know who it was, but he was certain that it was an

enemy who wanted to kill him.

Pushing those thoughts behind, he flew off.

His robes rustled behind him as the wind caught him.

At the edge of the city, a pile of corpses stood high like a mountain. Many of them were humans. Only

twenty to thirty guards managed to survive the chaos.

"Alas."

There was grief in the eyes of the remaining guards. The atmosphere was heavy and melancholic,

brought by the trauma of war. They had felt like ants when they confronted such strong enemies.

Bitterness filled their hearts when they saw the strength of the Shura and the mysterious figure. They

would never reach that level in their lifetime.

"Life is meaningless. Only the strong ones can run this world. With just a flick of their hands, they can

destroy everything. The land will never be ours." Someone was ranting in despair.

"Stop thinking too much. Just go back. At least you have a family to go home to," Darren said, trying to

lighten up the mood.

"Darren, the four greatest holy warriors are dead. From now on, we won't be able to fight the first fiend

ancestor anymore," someone said.

Darren's eyes flashed with determination. "Who said we're going to fight him?"

"Are you saying we give up now? Have you given up too?" several of the guards cried out.

"Nonsense. I'll never give up. What I mean to say is that we will kill him. No more fighting.

Listen up. Spread these words to the Governors. We shall search for the first fiend ancestor. Inform me

of any clues about his whereabouts or if he is found. I will tear him to pieces myself!" Darren let out a

fierce roar. It was so terrifying that it left the guards shaking.

"Yes! Darren has just survived the Heavenly Repression. He has the strength to kill the fiend!" This fact

gave everyone hope.

"Yes, we're going to be saved. We have hope now!"

"All of you should go back and rest now. Remember to go back to your families. As for the dead

warriors, bury them with care. Trust me when I say that they won't die in vain!"

Then, Darren flew into the distance to look for the fiend.

Three months passed.

And Darren still continued with his search. At this point, he had reached every corner of the eighteen

cities, including the desolate wilderness.

He didn't spare an inch of the Thunder Beast Land. He had turned the dragon ancestor's lair upside

down with his investigation.

However, he didn't find anything.

After another three months, Darren had already searched everywhere he could, but there were still no

traces of the fiend.

"He can't just disappear into thin air."

Darren stood on top of a mountain, overlooking the horizon. Every passage was sealed in the eighteen

cities, so the fiend couldn't just get out of there. He should still be in this world.

"Where are you hiding?"

Darren looked around, trying to figure out what he had missed.

After three days of meditation, the answer had finally come to him.

"The holy emperor's tomb! Is he hiding there?" Darren frowned.

He had already been at every corner of the cities. The one place he hadn't been to was the holy

emperor's tomb.

"He must be there! Now, let me see you run."

After he survived the thunder punishment of Heavenly Repression, Darren's power had finally reached

the half-step emperor level. He was confident that he could kill the first fiend ancestor at this point.

With no time to waste, he rushed to the holy emperor's tomb.

He did so as fast as he could.

Meanwhile, outside the eighteen cities...

"It's all over now..."

Chandler stood on the ruins and sighed. His hair was disheveled as if he had run his hands through it

so many times.

Several powerful men stood beside him, staring straight ahead in silence.

"I have a report, Master Finley!

The Inner Fiend had broken into another forbidden area."

Next to Chandler, Finley nodded his head at the news and then asked, "How is Barnes?"

"He's badly injured by the Inner Fiend and had already fled."

"Okay." Finley nodded.

"Three parts of his body have escaped. Counting the two in the eighteen cities, there are five in total. It

won't be long before he fully recovers," the Water Kylin sighed.
