CHAPTER 777 BREAKING INTO THE MILITARY CAMP
"You came just in time. Come fight with me." Darren's lips broke into a smile.
"Why? I'm not about to do this," Finley replied, frowning.
"No? Why?"
"Well, I find it boring. I would kill all those on this land with a blow, and that I do not want to do that at
all! We haven't seen each other for a long time. We must have a drink. Where is the dead dog?"
Finley rolled his eyes.
"Look at you! Which stage have you reached?
The dead dog is sleeping at the Ancient Void Battlefield and will be awakened soon. Do you want to
make things hard for him again?" Darren said.
"You don't have to know what stage I've reached. All you need to know is that I'm invincible now. It's
been a long time since I last saw the dead dog, and now I really want to... beat him up! However, since
he is still resting, I'd better reserve the beating." Finley laughed.
They talked for a while. Finley didn't agree to fight the Cross Expeditionary Force with Darren until
Darren pointed his sword at his neck.
Dozens of figures flitted about in the sky and windstorms began to form.
They headed directly up north. After flying for three straight days, the camp of the Cross Expeditionary
Force were already in sight.
Boom!
Suddenly, strong streams of aura surged left and right and a crowd rose up into the sky.
Darren and his dozens of companions were a far weaker force than those who stood before them.
"Here is the stronghold of the Cross Expeditionary Force! Anyone breaking in will be killed!" An inferior
general's voice boomed in an attempt to frighten away Darren and his companions.
"Kneel," Darren said calmly. A strange force shot out from his body and hit the general.
Crack.
The general's shank broke and he knelt down, crying out in pain.
Horns blared throughout the camp and a figure clad in armor with dragon patterns clutched his spear
and shot up into the sky.
"Who the hell are you? How dare you break into our number eight camp! Bow to me or die!" the man
growled. Many of the disciples of the Sacred Palace were almost killed by his sound wave. Luckily,
Darren conjured a force field and covered them.
"My name is Darren Chu and I am the law enforcer of the Sacred Palace. Now, the Cross
Expeditionary Force laid siege to the palace and imprisoned all of its rulers. For that, they all must die.
However, if they release the rulers and surrender, they may be spared!" Darren's voice resounded in
everyone's ears like a thunderclap.
"It's him!" The general raised his eyebrows. Instead of being angry, he was pleased.
"I thought some big shot had come. Instead, I got you, you little bastard! Ha!" the man roared wildly.
"General, shall we inform the commander first?" a vice general beside him spoke up timidly.
"Bah, why bother the commander with such a trifle? Do you doubt my abilities?" the general raised an
eyebrow.
"No, I do not dare!" The vice general bowed his head and did not say anything more.
Whoosh!
The general flew towards Darren and stabbed him with his spear.
Darren didn't make any move to defend himself. The disciples of the Sacred Palace looked on in
horror.
Even Ramon wanted to close to help Darren.
Bang!
The power surrounding the spear disappeared and its Holy Will dispersed.
The general's spear was against Darren's chest, but he was unable to pierce it.
"You want to kill me with your inferior power?
Fuck off!"
With a howl, Darren released a stream of dark gold interfal force from within him and directed it to the
general. The force of the blow blasted the spear into pieces and tore the general's right arm off. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
"Ah!"
The general was terrified.
Such power was too terrifying. Darren was unhurt from the general's attacks and was able to turn them
against him. That meant that he was just as powerful as the eight great generals of the Cross
Expeditionary Force.
Darren's reaching the Holy Realm made his power grow infinitely stronger.
His blade and sword intents had reached the extreme level, and his dark gold internal force, although it
had been weakened, was on par with Hanson's dark gold internal force.
Darren could now kill an inferior holy warrior with just one blow.
However, since no one of the Sacred Palace was killed, Darren decided to spare them. He would only
decide his next step once the great masters of the three clans showed up.
"Tell me where the rulers of the Sacred Palace are imprisoned." Darren's tone sent a chill down the
soldiers' spines.
They waited on him with bated breath.
No matter what their strength was, they all feared Darren.
Darren walked towards the general.
"Tell me or die! Nobody can save you, not even your commander!"
"How- how dare you!" The general pretended he was unafraid.
"Well, since you want to play hardball, let me fulfill your wish."
Whoosh!
A sword intent stretched out and cut off his left arm too.
"Ha, I won't surrender to you. Kill me if you have the guts." The general gave a bitter laugh and
sneered at Darren.
"This is inefficient, Darren. Maybe I could help." Finley flew over, chilling everyone to the bone.
"There is another powerful being present!" The soldiers were astonished. They felt that this man's
strength was equal to that of Darren's.
"General, why not tell him?" one of the vice generals cried out in panic.
"Bullshit! We are soldiers, born to be brave! How could we yield to a law enforcer of the Sacred
Palace? If you question me again, I will kill you all with my Holy Will!" the general answered angrily
through his spiritual sense.
"General, I do not say this out of fear but you must think. Don't you remember the strength of the one
who guards the North Sea Prison? His power is great. If they face him, we will be able to capture them
without informing the commander!"
Hearing this, the general's eyes sparkled mischievously. "You're right, even the commander is afraid of
him. I'll take them there, and show them what real darkness is all about!"
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a soul attack cut through the general's head. He looked at the direction it had come from and
saw that it came from Finley.
"Ah! Stop! Stop! I'll tell you! I'll tell you!" The general writhed in pain.
"I don't need you to tell me." Finley's eyes flashed as he collected the general's memories.
A moment later, the general stopped squirming but he had a dull look in his eyes, no longer able to
function properly.
"I know where to go now, but they are being guarded by an extremely powerful being," Finley said.
"Then we better go meet him." Darren smirked.
"Let's go. It's been a long time since I had fought with a worthy opponent!" Finley said, bristling with
excitement.
Darren directed his companions to fly with him towards the North Sea.
"Idiots! How could you let that law enforcer best your general like this?"
a young warrior clad in blue armor began to berate the soldiers.
"Commander, I suspect that the two men may have been senior holy warriors. I am afraid that even
you... could not rival them," the vice general said timidly.
"Idiot! There cannot be senior holy warriors in the Sacred Palace! How dare you lie to me? Your head
will be chopped off!" With that, the man's head fell on the ground.
Whoosh!
The blue-armored commander flew up to the sky and headed for the North Sea.
