Chapter 1016 The Final Deal

CHAPTER 1016 THE FINAL DEAL

That was exactly what Darren wanted.

He now felt in control of the Shura and Darren needed him to revere him.

"No need." Darren feigned indifference.

"You have no reason to refuse!" Shura roared.

"You threatened to kill me! Why should I believe you?"

Darren sneered. He cast out more Shura Force, which chipped away more of the Shura's life aura.

"Human!"

The Shura was very angry, but he could not resist.

"I can make a Shura Contract with you," the Shura proposed.

"Really? What is that? Enlighten me," Darren said.

"The Shura Contract is a rule system that was set up by our ancestor…"

"Stop," Darren interrupted him. "Transfer to me your memories of the contract. Don't talk to me."

Secretly, Darren was afraid that the Shura would alter the contract.

Being controlled by Darren, the Shura had no choice but to do what Darren told him. He transferred a

copy of his ancient memories into Darren's head.

The Shura Contract was invented by the Shura ancestor of the first generation. Once the two parties

with the Shura Force made this kind of contract, whether they were the descendants of the first

generation of the Shura, they would be regarded as brothers. From then on, they could not go against

each other. The penalty for breaching this contract was death.

There was pure Shura Force in Darren's body. He had what it took to fulfil this contract.

"That's not bad, but it's not enough to save your life," Darren said using his spiritual sense.

The Shura Contract protected only Darren from the Shura. What if he attacked someone close to

Darren?

"What do you want?" There was a hint of anger in the Shura's voice. He was not used to not getting

what he wanted.

"Do you have master and slave bond?"

"No way! Our Shura race will never submit to anyone else. That is impossible!"

"Then, there's nothing I can do. When you wake up, if you go against the people around me, I can't

stop you. I can't take that risk."

"Argh!"

The Shura let out a cry and then fell into silence.

Boom!

Without a word, Darren conjured up several streams of powerful Shura Force to attack the Shura.

"Stop.

I will make you three promises. That is all I can do."

Feeling the loss of his life aura, the Shura decided to compromise.

"You are much more powerful than me. How can I ensure that you will keep your promises?" Darren

withdrew his attack.

"It is also under the law of our ancestor," Shura replied.

"Give me the memory."

After receiving the memory, Darren smiled with satisfaction.

With the restraint of some kind of law, once a Shura made a promise, the promise had to be fulfilled. It

was similar to the Oath Rule.

This Shura was only allowed three promises. If he made more than three promises, the promises would

be invalid.

Now that they reached this point, Darren would not oppress the Shura anymore. He decided to agree

to his terms. After all, he was in urgent need of the Shura to kill Yahya and save his avatar.

The promises that the Shura owed him was similar to having the Shura as an ally.

"What do you want from me?"

"Very simple. First, you are not allowed to attack any creature that I don't allow you to hurt. If you do so,

you will immediately explode. Second, when I am in danger, you have to help me to the best of your

ability. Third, you have to kill whoever I want you to kill. Otherwise, you die." Darren lay out his terms.

"I can fulfill the first one, but I can't make the other two promises," the Shura said.

"Well, there is a limit to my patience. If you don't accept these three promises, I will not show mercy,"

Darren said in a low voice.

"It's not up to me. The last two promises make me like a slave, and this is prohibited by the law. I can't

do that."

Darren finally understood.

For the Shura race, no one was allowed to make any promise that made them like a slave. It was the

nature of the Shura.

"Alright, then. In addition to the first promise, you must promise me to help me kill two people."

"Deal. And the last one?" asked the Shura.

Darren wondered what he should ask for. owns this.

"The third one..." Darren hesitated for a while.

"Go ahead."

"Third, if my avatar wants to kill me, you have to help me stop him." Darren held his breath. He didn't

know why he would ask for this, but this was the only way that he could set his mind at ease.

It was different from what he had originally asked for. This was a promise targeting a single individual. It

did not make the Shura a slave. The Shura could agree.

"Deal." As expected, the Shura agreed without hesitation.

"Alright, then. Let's form the contract," Darren said.

"Activate your Shura Force to merge with mine..."

Following the guidance of the Shura, Darren established their contract.

"Help me revive!" the Shura urged.

"Of course." Once again, Darren took out the dark-spirit crystals.

In the Flaming Hell

There were five black pagodas and thousands of chains flying in the air.

"It has been ten years. Why haven't you opened the door?"

Yahya opened his eyes. Ten years had passed, but he still couldn't leave.

The Rule Soul Avatar appeared in front of Yahya.

"I only promised to let you go out. We never put a time," the avatar said indifferently.

"Ha!" Yahya sneered. "You have three days to fulfil your promise."

"No way," the Rule Soul Avatar retorted.

"You will, because what I have offered is enough for you to make a small concession. Otherwise, I

won't keep my promise."

Yahya smiled confidently. Since the promise he made had saved his life, it meant that it was very

tempting to Darren's avatar. How could the avatar refuse it now?

Yahya regretted all the time he had wasted waiting for the avatar.

"Ten days. That's my final offer," the avatar said.

"Deal."

He had been waiting ten years. Another ten days would not hurt.

Besides, his waiting had been beneficial. He was now protected by the Rule Soul Avatar and he was

able to cultivate while in hell. He had grown much stronger.

Deep inside, however, Yahya was not happy about his improved strength. Instead, he was worried,

because he knew that Darren's avatar was growing stronger as well. The avatar was a huge threat to

him. He could clearly feel that the five black pagodas were about to fall into the hands of Darren's

avatar.
