CHAPTER 819 THE ISLAND
Darren found no relief after killing the stone man. A split second later, several more stone men popped
out of the white mist and rushed toward him.
"I have no choice. I have to try my best to kill them all!'
Darren said as he returned to his human shape. As he focused his mind, his body emitted blood-red
light. He knew that only the Shura Force would allow him to kill them fast enough.
The blood-red light stood out in sharp contrast to the white mist.
Boom!
A stone man that was over ten thousand feet tall collapsed with a loud bang. As and when more stone
men fell, Darren assimilated them in succession.
"Howl!"
Rage filled the stone men. Soon, a dozen powerful stone men besieged Darren.
Boom!
Several huge fists, each bearing millions of pounds of power rushed at Darren, one after another.
Darren knew that he wouldn't be able to take all these blows head-on. And so, he kept dodging the
attacks.
"Ha-ha."
When the opportunity arose, Darren jumped behind a stone man and smashed his head with his sword
and blade.
"The force and hardness of the stone men are acceptable, but it is a pity that they are so stupid!"
Two hours later, Darren had killed over fifty stone men.
"Phew!"
Seeing how many stone men Darren had killed, the inferior stone men did not dare to go near him.
"My physical strength has increased manifold!" Darren was thrilled with the progress he had made.
"Where is the monkey?"
At this time, Darren realized that the monkey had disappeared. When he glanced around, Darren
couldn't find any trace of him.
The white mist didn't help the situation either. It spread from all directions and enveloped everything.
When Darren tried searching, he found that he had lost his way.
Darren dashed in one direction desperately, hoping to find the exit.
Swoosh!
A figure flashed by.
Darren was startled, and he became alert.
"Don't try to escape."
Shock coursed through Darren when he felt a sharp claw grab his shoulder.
Darren was speechless.
The monkey had found him!
"Didn't you go to fight with your enemies? Why didn't I hear any battle noises?" Darren asked curiously.
"Humph! He escaped before I could kill him. What a coward!" the monkey snorted.
"Monkey, as you are so humble this time, I will let you go. Get out of here!" A wild voice echoed from
the depths of the thick mist. The monkey's expression changed to reflect the anger coursing through
him.
"Fuck you! I have something important to do, which is why I spoke with you about passing through your
domain. Who said I am humble? Bastard!" The monkey was infuriated as his lie had been exposed.
"I don't want to talk to you anymore. Get out of here, or I'll kill you!"
"I'll beat you the next time we cross paths!" the monkey roared as he grabbed Darren and flew into the
thick mist.
After they flew for ten days and ten nights, the white mist around them gradually began to subside.
An island enveloped in green loomed dozens of kilometers ahead.
Darren followed the monkey to the island and landed beside him.
Several different kinds of strange flowers and grass grew on the island. And in the distance, there was
a dense and massive forest. Darren could hear all kinds of birds and beasts chirping and roaring inside.
"Is the Inner Fiend on this island?" the monkey asked. His voice was so cold that Darren felt a shiver
travel down his spine.
"Uh..." Darren first nodded, and then, he shook his head.
"What?" The monkey glared at Darren.
"I was so scared and dizzy. I wasn't paying attention when I ran out. I'm not quite certain about the
location," Darren continued to lie.
The monkey glanced at Darren again before turning his gaze toward the depths of the island.
A dazzling, colorful light rose in the horizon. In a flash, the whole island became colorful as if it were a
fairyland.
"What is it?" Darren frowned and murmured, "It feels like the aura of an immortal!"
Darren's face twisted with rage when he thought of immortals. Such intense killing intent surged in his
heart and radiated from Darren's body that the monkey, who stood next to him, turned to look at Darren
in surprise.
"If you have come to my island bearing ill-intent, I advise you to leave as soon as possible. Otherwise,
you will be in trouble."
Darren was shocked as a fairy voice seemed to descend from heaven.
"Madam, I have some important business to deal with. I hope you will grant me a favor by allowing me
to cross your territory," tremendous respect reflected in the monkey's voice as he answered.
Darren was rendered speechless as he'd never heard the monkey speak like this before. Everything
about the monkey was surprising. Although typically grumpy and ferocious, the monkey bowed his
head in this area. What kind of terrifying power did the people living in this place have?
"Humph! Go away!" The woman in the distance didn't believe the monkey at all.
The monkey bared his teeth as his anger surfaced. This woman was testing his patience! Although he
was about to lose his temper, a moment later, the monkey suppressed it.
"Madam, please let me pass. I need to find the Inner Fiend," the monkey implored.
"There is no Inner Fiend here. Get out!" the woman instructed. She was unhappy as these two Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
intruders continued to disobey her orders.
"Fuck you. Go to hell!"
The monkey was not good at negotiating. Since the woman did not agree with his request, he
brandished his stick. In the next moment, all the runes on the stick lit up.
Whoosh!
A feather with burning flames shot out from the depths of the island.
As the stick and the feather collided in midair, the whole island shook.
After a moment of stalemate, the feather managed to repulse the monkey's stick. When the monkey
saw his stick flying backward, he leaped into the air and caught it. Then, he bent his body into a bow-
shape and shot the stick toward the girl again.
The space ripped as easily as a piece of paper.
A stick of destructive power was about to land on the island.
"If you insist on fighting me, I will destroy your small island," the monkey threatened. By now, such
silence had descended on the island, that his voice echoed.
"You are presumptuous."
With a sharp sound, a beautiful figure in a fiery red robe flew into the sky.
A long trail of blood flames appeared on her back.
She lifted her hand and drew something in the air with a graceful arc.
Boom!
Before the monkey's stick could strike the island's surface, a great force repelled it. The impact was so
tremendous that even the monkey was thrown back several feet!
"What powerful strength!" Darren was surprised to find that the powerful monkey had been put at a
disadvantage in the first round.
A gust of hot wind blew past, and a flaming storm rose under the monkey's body, dragging him into the
depths of the void.
The beautiful fiery-red figure made another arc in midair and disappeared into the void as well.
Boom.
Darren stayed where he was. He could hear bursts of frightening sounds in the sky, and streaks of
space cracks flashed in the void as the battle raged on.
Darren couldn't watch the fight between the monkey and the woman. Neither could he escape. So, he
walked straight ahead.
As all the beasts on the island were frightened by the fight, they all hid in the foliage. A deathly silence
descended on the once, noisy forest.
Along the way, Darren found many superior magic herbs. Upon inspection, he discovered that their
grade was higher than any herbs he had seen.
But, the spiritual energy contained in the magic herbs did not work on Darren. Nevertheless, he still
collected several herbs, since he thought they might be beneficial to his friends in the future.
"You bastard! How dare you steal the flowers from my home? I'll teach you a lesson!"
Darren looked in the direction where the voice came from and saw a girl about sixteen or seventeen
years old. She was dressed in red and glared at him with her mouth pouted.
"Your home?" Darren was stunned.
"This whole island belongs to my family. How dare you steal things from us?"
Without waiting for Darren to reply, she rushed at him. In a flash, she slapped him in the face.
Darren reached out and grabbed her slender, white hand. "There's no need to be aggressive. They are
just some plants."
As Darren still held the girl's hand, she could not move.
"You!" The girl struggled and stamped her feet with anger.
"Brother, a bastard is bullying me..." the girl shouted. Her scream was so terrifyingly loud that the island
shook.
"Who the hell are you? Go to hell!"
A figure in green flew toward Darren from a distance.
