CHAPTER 1249 THE DRAGON ANCESTOR MADE HIS MOVE
No matter how many times Darren called for help, the dragon ancestor didn't respond. This made him
even more desperate.
"You're a good man. You're so kind to tell me all this before I die." He tried to stall some more time by
talking.
"I think you misunderstood me. I only want to make some money by providing the information. I
promise to give you a swift death if you hand over all your properties to me." The man's killing intent
had becoming overwhelming.
"Fine. You can take whatever I have. Everything will be useless to me after I'm dead anyway."
Darren remained calm on the surface, but deep inside, he desperately continued to call out for the
dragon ancestor.
'Damn it! Is he dead already?' he cursed internally. 'No! I must wake him up!'
In the middle of such a crucial moment, he finally came up with an idea.
A divine sword appeared in his hand.
"This is a level-nine divine weapon. You can make a lot of money with this." He tried to pique the man's
interest with the sword so that he wouldn't kill him yet. He waved the sword in his hands a few times
before quickly sinking it directly into his own chest.
The sword whistled menacingly in the air.
The divine sword was now embedded in his chest. Its blade piercing his heart.
And on cue, an ear-piecing roar rang out inside his head.
"Are you out of your mind? How dare you stab me with your own sword?" a voice grumbled in
dissatisfaction.
"Oh my God! You're finally awake! We are about to die, damn it!"
"You never come to me with good news. It's always trouble with you. Now, let me see who's bold
enough to try killing you." The dragon ancestor seemed irritated.
"Well, this guy isn't so bad. Only a few people at the Star God Realm can go up against him," the
dragon ancestor muttered.
"The Star God Realm? How come I can sense that he's way much stronger than me?" Indeed, Darren
was confused. He thought that the man in front of him was a master at the Celestial God Realm.
"What do you know? There's an insurmountable gap between the top level of the Star God Realm and
the Celestial God Realm. Warriors from the top level of the Star God Realm could display different
kinds of strength in this gap," the dragon ancestor explained.
"I see. Well, can you deal with him? I can't go up against him anyway."
"Why don't you give it a try? Or are you willing to die already? Go ahead and transform into a dragon.
I'll take control of your body then."
"Okay!"
The conversation only lasted for a few seconds.
The man in front of Darren seemed completely enamored by the divine sword. It seemed like he had hit
a jackpot with this assignment.
"Hand it over to me. I'll let you die immediately."
"You know what, you had your chance. But since you talked too much, you've wasted it!"
A loud roar ripped through the air.
In that instant, Darren's body shifted into a dark dragon.
"A dragon?!" The man paled in shock upon seeing the creature in front of him. However, he relaxed
slightly upon sensing Darren's aura.
It was merely a low level dragon. There was nothing to be afraid of.
"Your resistance will only make it worse for you!"
The man suddenly charged towards Darren.
Darren then lifted his claw and swiped it at the man.
It hit its target.
The impact had caused the god's power to explode. The whole room began to crumble after the blast.
"What?"
The blow had forced the man to step back. Only then did he realize that the dragon in front of him was
not as weak as he first thought.
As a result to his complacence, his arm was broken.
"This is bad."
He could feel his heart thudding painfully against his chest as he examined Darren's powers once
more. The Starry Sword Sect would be on alert now that he failed to kill him on the first try.
He had to make sure that he would kill Darren in his next shot. If he didn't, his task would be a failure.
With renewed resolve, the man rushed forward once more.
He prepared another attack at Darren.
"Humph! No warrior in the Star God Realm could defeat me yet. The one who can hasn't even been
born yet!" The voice that came out from the dragon was cold. It wasn't Darren's anymore. It was the
dragon ancestor who was speaking. He was feeling cocky because he knew full well that he had the
upper hand in this fight.
He turned his body smaller and charged at the man head on.
A series of loud sounds rang out in the air.
The room was suddenly filled with a dazzling light. The dragon's bellow had shaken the man to the
core.
With each hit, the man couldn't find a leverage against his opponent. He was beginning to panic upon
realizing that his task wouldn't be as easy as he first thought.
Just as when he was planning to escape, a sword light appeared. It split into thirteen transparent
swords. Each of which surrounded him.
"You little brat! How dare you cause trouble in our sect? Go to hell!"
The man who spoke was none other than Murphy.
He drew the transparent swords and shot them towards the killer.
"How dare you? I'm a disciple of the Blood Abyss Sect. You'll be declared an enemy of the entire sect if
you dare hurt me!" the man roared while dodging the swords.
Upon hearing this, Murphy stopped his attacks all of a sudden.
"The Blood Abyss Sect..." Murphy couldn't hide his surprise. The Blood Abyss Sect was not a force to
be trifled with.
"I have failed my mission this time. Just give me some benefits and let me leave, and everything will be
alright. This is my condition," the man said.
"Get out of here then. And stay away from here as far as you can." Surprisingly, Murphy was willing to
let him go!
"You have to pay me one million killing points first since I failed the mission. This is the least you have
to pay," the man haggled.
"This is the last time I'll say this. Get out now or I'll have you beheaded." Murphy's voice was deadly
cold as he said this. The air stirred with his killing intent.
"Very well then. Just you wait. Your doom is upon you soon." The man then turned around and began
to walk out of the secret room. He already knew that he would never have another chance in killing
Darren again.
"You want to leave?"
The dragon suddenly rushed towards the man at an incredible speed.
"What? How dare you try to kill a disciple from the Blood Abyss Sect? Are you courting death?"
The man was immediately on his guard against Darren's attack. owns this.
"Kill!"
The man turned livid.
However, Darren's dragon aura was very powerful now. Even if the man used up all his strength, he
would still be no match against him.
In the end, the man was knocked down to the ground.
"Darren, stop!"
Just as Darren was about to kill the man, Murphy stopped him.
However, at this time, his body was still controlled by the dragon ancestor. There was no way he would
listen to Murphy.
With that, he brought his claw down on the man.
Its sharp tips pierced directly at the man's heart.
The shadow that covered the man's face finally disappeared. It revealed his true face. His eyes were
filled with disbelief as he stared back at Darren.
Still under the dragon ancestor's control, Darren was indifferent to all the warnings. Wordlessly, he
shattered the man's heart into pieces.
With the man killed, the dragon ancestor retreated back into Darren's heart. His body morphed back
into his human form.
"This is bad!"
Murphy's face darkened.
Darren was aware that Murphy had tried stopping him just now, but he didn't understand why he had
done this.
"What's wrong, Master Murphy?"
After all, the man was a killer. He wanted to kill him. It was only reasonable that Darren killed him in
defense.
"Never mind," Murphy sighed. "Forget it. It's done now. In fact, the best thing we should have done is to
give him some benefits and let him go."
Darren was even more confused.
"Is the Blood Abyss Sect really that terrifying? I'm surprised that even you are afraid of them." Darren
looked at Murphy intently.
"Yes. They are indeed very scary. They're a mysterious and powerful force. Even we from the Starry
Sword Region wouldn't dare provoke them. But never mind. They're the ones who brought trouble first.
It's not our fault. Don't worry about it." As Murphy said this, it was evident that he was still worried.
"Okay..." Darren nodded his head.
"By the way, I didn't know that you have the dragon blood." Now that the man was out of the way,
Murphy steered the subject to a different direction. He had been astonished when he saw Darren's
genuine dragon form a while ago.
"I only obtained it by chance," Darren said sheepishly.
"You're definitely a genius among the geniuses. Well, I can still send a message back to the region. I'll
report everything to the senior leaders and see how we'll proceed with that matter," Murphy said.
