CHAPTER 553 LIFE OR DEATH (PART TWO)
"How strong his strength is! He is really comparable to a six-star grand warrior," Darren spoke out.
At the thought of it, Darren pitied himself, for he hadn't even reached the Grand Realm. Thus, he
presumed, for sure, that he couldn't defeat the six-star martial artist, the metal creature. He had
previously defeated a five-star grand warrior only because of the divine weapons he had.
It was known for a fact that there was a wide gap between the six-star grand warrior and the five-star
grand warrior. One hundred five-star grand warriors couldn't necessarily beat one six-star grand warrior
given a chance. Yet, on the contrary, it was a mere matter of minutes for a six-star grand warrior to kill
one hundred five-star grand warriors. Belongs © to .
Moreover, this metal creature, mastering the premium blade and sword intents, definitely owned the
upper-middle level of a six-star grand warrior.
Given such circumstances, Darren couldn't win over the metal creature. Darren knew this by heart, and
he had to accept the fact—whether he liked it or not.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
With a determined will, the metal creature continued to attack Darren. His only goal was to kill the
challenger.
Just then, the metal creature's blade and sword intents completely shrouded Darren. Bearing the
blows, Darren suddenly felt that his blade core and sword core were about to be crushed and
jeopardized.
Yet, being a stalwart soldier as he was, Darren braved the pain from his inner organs and elixir field.
With all his hopes drifting away, Darren wanted to escape by executing his Teleportation Skill.
Buzz!
Albeit as thoughts were spinning on his mind, Darren heard a sound that shocked him all of a sudden.
The metal creature's blade and sword intents penetrated the space and continuously attacked him,
leaving him no time even to think.
"What the hell is that?" Dodging and avoiding the raining blades and swords, Darren kept jumping
around. Obviously, he was very flustered.
"Alas! He was doomed now!" the shadow watching from afar exclaimed. As the shadow watched
Darren struggling under the creature's attacks, he said with a deep sigh, "Although the purple blade
and sword cores were compromised, the metal creature is still dominant. It was because the cores'
master had learned about the extreme blade and sword intents and the metal creature was now using it
to its advantage. Space Piercing is a perfect skill of the extreme blade and sword intents."
Every extreme blade and sword intent was compelling. Once a person mastered it, under the rule, it
was impossible to have a second person with the same skill. That meant the one who had mastered
the powers would be extremely exceptional, needless to say, powerful and invincible.
As the battle continued, before the metal creature's blade and sword intents hit on Darren, he released
both the dark gold internal force and the olive-black force to resist it.
"What should I do now? I can't escape, and I have to defend myself now," gawked Darren as he was
desperate right now.
In his desperation, Darren activated all the defense treasures he had inside his Space Ring. While he
was doing that, he just hoped that the treasures could resist the creature's attack for a while.
As the treasures emerged one by one out of his Space Ring, Darren used various runes, broken
bronze armor, bronze mask, and all that he could lay his hands upon.
Boom!
Yet, despite all his defense of treasures, the metal creature's blade and sword intents broke through
Darren's power and hit him straight in his body.
Countless ripples of blade and sword scattered in all directions as they bounced off. That, in turn,
painted the sky an odd glow that added an ounce of pain to the already searing pain that Darren was
enduring.
At that moment, Darren felt like the light of his candle had burnt out. It was as if he was ready to
breathe his last. He was seeing death after all the blows that he had received and the excruciating pain
that tormented him at the moment.
Rumble!
Just then, as he was almost giving up, Darren's armor flickered with black runes, and an ancient aura
suddenly enveloped him.
"Eh? What's going on? What is that aura?" The shadow that was watching from afar fixed his eyes at
Darren and thought about something. He looked rather excited.
Boom!
Momentarily, Darren's armor was blasted by the metal creature's blade and sword intents. The creature
never ceased to attack Darren despite seeing him so miserable and hopeless by now.
But fortunately for him, Darren's body had not been totally smashed by the last attack. Thankfully, he
was still breathing and wasn't dead yet.
However, the colossal impact made by the attack seemed to break his entire body into pieces, leaving
him on the edge of the soul collapse.
Twisting and coiling at once, Darren was so racked in pain. He wanted to cry like a baby to somehow
ease the pain, yet he stopped himself from doing so.
Pain was the only feeling Darren knew for now, and he had somehow gotten used to the sensation. He
was almost reduced to tears, yet the brave man inside him pushed him to endure the pain.
Whoosh!
Though Darren was almost near his death, the metal creature showed no mercy upon him and
continued its ruthless attacks.
"Maybe I can help him once. But I don't know if the master would blame me," the shadow watching
from afar said with hesitation. But in the next moment, he made a decision. "He can get the Dark
Emperor's Armor. It's my destiny to help him. If the master wants to blame, then he can blame all he
wants!"
When that metal creature was about to crush and kill Darren, a pair of bronze shoulder protectors
coupled with a pair of bronze leg protectors flew directly to Darren and covered him.
Rumble!
A buzzing sound reverberated in space, and the bronze protectors began to connect harmoniously with
Darren's incomplete armor under the lingering black runes.
