CHAPTER 919 NO TOUCHING
Laura's blatant flirtation wasn't left unnoticed by the others. Soon, jealousy arose among them.
"How can I say no?" Darren smiled, seemingly happy to oblige with her request.
Laura was still batting her eyelashes at him. Her expression was open and tempting, but something
cold and aloof lay behind that mask. In her heart, she thought that Darren was a playboy.
'Huh. He sure is bold. How dare he lay his hand on me? I'll break his arm when he does, ' she thought
to herself.
But Darren had still stayed back even when he already agreed to Laura's request.
"What are you waiting for, Darren?" Laura cocked her head to one side, staring at him expectantly.
"Nothing." Darren nodded his head and then released a stream of his sword and blade intents.
The stream of sword and blade intents reached for her, almost diffidently. Surprisingly, its touch was as
soft as a lover's caress. It rolled down to her thighs in a rhythmic manner—almost like a lullaby. The
force behind it was moderate and comfortable.
"Laura, are your legs still sore?" Darren asked. His eyes couldn't seem to quite meet Laura's.
Laura needed to take some time to recover from her initial shock. The massage turned out to be really
relaxing and enjoyable.
To be honest, she couldn't seem to figure Darren out now. His actions were truly unpredictable.
'When he first saw me, he seemed infatuated with me, but now, he doesn't seem to have any feelings
for me. How odd!' Laura pondered on this in her heart. Finally, she voiced out, "Hey, what's wrong with
you? Do you not like me anymore? Why didn't you use your hands?"
Darren chuckled lightly. He then looked up and met her eyes. "I respect you," he said, calmly. "I didn't
want to offend you with my touch."
Laura was struck speechless at this. Her heart seemingly stuttered for a bit, and she couldn't help but
be curious of this man before her. For some reason, she felt frustrated by him.
The moment was broken when a figure flashed by Laura's side.
"Haha. I can do it if you want."
He laid his broad hand on her thigh and pinched her hard.
"Wow, it smells good!" C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
In a bold move, the man proceeded to sniff the hand that had touched her creamy pale skin. The sound
of air filling his lungs was disgusting.
"How dare you!"
"Hey, what are you doing? How dare you offend Laura!"
Outrage broke out among the others. Some even seemed prepared to pounce at the offensive man.
"Stop!" Laura stared coldly at the man. Her expression was set like a carved stone.
Then she stood up and put on her charming smile.
"It's an honor to meet you, Gregory."
With that, she walked up to the man and gave him the full force of her seductive charms.
The man named Gregory Mu took another greedy breath, reveling on her fragrance. "Miss Ji, how
about we find a cave and rest for a while?"
He punctuated his question with a wink.
"Okay, but..."
"But what? Tell me whatever it is you want."
"But you have to be alive first."
The moment she finished speaking, a pink aura burst out of her and flower petals rained down from the
sky.
They danced and swayed in the air until they began to churn and swirl frantically, forming a whirlpool in
the air. They descended upon Gregory Mu, fully engulfing his body.
Then, Laura slapped his chest with her palms at a strange angle.
His face flushed bright red as if all his blood had filled his face. He was restrained by something and he
had no strength to get away from it.
He struggled uselessly against her peculiar hold. With his palms, he tried to hit her. But he was too
slow.
'It seems like Laura has not only bewitched him but also slowed down the speeds of his attacks, '
Darren concluded as he observed the scene in front of him.
This was a very powerful method in his opinion.
To see a powerful man like Gregory Mu trapped by Laura's flower petals just showed how strong she
really was. This man was even at the same level as Myron. Truly, Darren knew that if he tried fighting
with her, he wouldn't be able to defeat her.
Speed was essential in a battle between two warriors of the same level. If one was delayed for even a
thousandth of a second, the turnout of the battle could change drastically. Now that Gregory Mu was
caught up with Laura's petals, his speed had been reduced by a hundred times. His doom was
inevitable.
Bang!
Laura's soft palm smacked against Gregory Mu's chest. It collapsed underneath her force. She then
took this opportunity to stab her hand straight into his chest.
Gregory Mu roared. Pain laced his voice.
Death hanged over his head like a pendulum.
"Heavenly Sound Wave!" he howled.
Sound waves surged through the air, penetrating through everything that stood in its way.
It disintegrated the petals around him, turning them into dust that drifted with the wind.
Laura frowned and immediately took a step back to avoid getting hit by the sound waves.
"How dare you try to kill me?!" Despite getting out from his restraint, Gregory Mu still didn't rush
towards Laura. Instead, he retreated several feet back.
"You have dared touch my leg so now I'll kill you!" Laura shouted. Her voice was cold as ice. Gone was
her sweet charm.
"Bitch! How come that guy can touch you but I can't? Why be shy now? I've heard that you've always
been easy."
Laura's chest heaved with rage and her eyes flickered with killing intent. She flew over to Gregory Mu,
leaving a pink trail of light behind her.
Gregory Mu ripped out another roar.
This time, the sound was even fiercer and more powerful. The waves it created were monstrous and
frantic.
It completely derailed the pink light headed towards him. Panic surged among the disciples of the Holy
City as they witnessed the attack. They were worried that it might have killed Laura.
"Where is she?" Darren could no longer feel her aura either. But he held out hope that she wouldn't die
that easily.
Sure enough, a pink vortex rose from beneath Gregory Mu's feet.
Before he could even react, it sucked him in. He suddenly found himself enveloped by a soft force that
spun him around and around. The speed of it was so fast that he didn't know which way was up or
down anymore.
"Bitch! Leave me alone or I'll kill you!"
Gregory Mu shouted in horror.
"I'd like to see you try, you bastard!" Laura's voice was sharp and clear amid the chaos, but no one
knew where she was.
"Falling Flower Attack!"
In an instant, the petals began to fall down in torrents.
It was like a pink waterfall pouring into the vortex.
Gregory Mu's face twisted in agony and he continued to howl in pain. Almost nobody could recognize
him anymore amid the onslaught.
His sound waves spread throughout the entire area.
It shattered everything in its wake like a hurricane that had swooped down upon the land.
"Damn it! The sound wave is too strong!" Darren frowned.
Everyone could feel that dreadful pressure exerted by the sound waves. It forced them to retreat lest
they were swept up by it. They knew that if they got hit, they could instantly die.
"Ah!"
It was Laura's cry.
There was a mad glint in Gregory Mu's eyes as he continued to emit more sound waves.
Even though his own powers were also tearing him apart, he still carried on with his frenzied attacks.
Cracks began to appear on his face, revealing the gleaming white bones beneath his skin.
"You're going to hell with me, you bitch!" he roared.
For a moment, Darren's own hesitation held him back. But he soon couldn't stand to watch idly by so
he let out a dragon roar. In an instant, his dragon's body hurled towards Gregory Mu.
