Chapter 622 You Will Be Killed If You Refuse

CHAPTER 622 YOU WILL BE KILLED IF YOU REFUSE

Gaston, who was a powerful warrior that had comprehended forty percent of the Fringe Holy Will, had

been killed.

"Old bastard, you are not weak. Your martial arts talent is evidence of that." Darren finished

assimilating Gaston's talent and his own talent was further improved.

By doing this, Darren became a step closer to attaining the legendary Genuine Domain Degree!

"Darren, I feel anxious. I don't know if the people coming would be hostile towards us and they may be

equal to us in power."

After he had killed Gaston, Isaac was very much relieved. However, he decided that he must still keep

his guard up. There were still several forces lurking about and spying on them.

"Just pretend you don't notice any of them and leave right now," Darren whispered.

"Well, if they try anything, I'll take up the rear," Isaac replied, his frown deepening.

"Let's play it by ear." With those words, Darren flew away with Isaac flying right behind him.

They had been flying for some time when they felt a surge of power overwhelming them.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Suddenly, Darren and Isaac were surrounded.

"Who are you? Why are you stopping us?" Isaac's face became wrought with nervousness.

He was still recovering from his wounds from the battle he had just fought. Darren's Holy Will was also

wearing off, making the both of them more vulnerable. They were not ready for a fight. If the enemy

were to attack, Darren and Isaac would have a difficult time.

"Get out of here! We are looking for him,"

a man dressed in all black said, pointing at Darren. He was wearing a strange bronze half mask that

resembled a ghost.

Beside him, there was a young man wearing the same mask. He looked over at Darren as well.

"Boy, take this."

Ignoring Isaac, the man in black produced a bright beam of light that pierced through the air as he

flicked it towards Darren.

Darren caught the light beam with his fingers. It materialized in his hands as a jade tablet and it

pulsated with energy. The word "invitation" was carved into it.

"Is this the way you guys at the Crimson Sea Sect invite geniuses?"

The sky shook as three more figures appeared beside Darren.

They were exactly Gaston's senior fellow apprentices, the members of the Heaven Lake Sect.

"What a coincidence! We were able to meet people from both the Heaven Lake Sect and the Crimson

Sea Sect today." Another voice came from the sky.

Two more men appeared, dressed in golden robes. They were from another great faction—the Golden

Sacred Sect.

The three powerhouses surrounded Darren and Isaac.

"You may go now."

One of the men from the Golden Sacred Sect pointed directly at Isaac.

"I came with Darren! I'll go where he goes!" Although Isaac felt afraid, he did not let his voice waver.

"Bah, you are shameless. You are extremely old—too old, in fact, to make friends with this little boy."

The only woman from the Heaven Lake Sect gave Isaac a disdainful look.

"You!" Isaac shook with anger but he did not know how to respond.

"What? We have come to invite him to join us. You have no business staying here any longer. Now go

before I kill you!" one of the young men in blue said, with his eyes fixed on Isaac.

With his words, Isaac felt humiliated.

"Watch your mouth,"

Darren said coldly.

"Boy, what did you say? Who are you referring to?" The young man in blue frowned.

"You and that woman both," Darren answered without looking at him.

"Well, fuck,"

the young man in blue cursed and his robe began to bulge as a great force swept him up.

Blue-colored ripples appeared around them.

The temperature in the air dropped sharply.

The young man in blue had mastered a type of Fringe Holy Will that was related to ice power.

"Mind your manners. Any friend of this young man's is also our friend. How can you make such rude

remarks?" Ryan held his hand up to stop his companion from attacking Darren.

"Is this your way to treat a person of such high esteem? Someone you wish to invite into your circle?

You guys are so pretentious. Little boy, please accept this invitation from the Golden Sacred Sect. We

would appreciate your kind consideration."

The young man in golden robes tossed a jade tablet towards Darren.

Darren glanced at both of the jade tablets in his hands and after a moment's thought, he threw them

back towards the men. "I'm sorry. I don't intend to join any of your factions. We had just come from a

battle and we are both extremely tired. We are still trying to rest up and recuperate. Please let us leave

in peace."

Darren was careful to be polite. He did not want to have to battle these factions.

"Are you rejecting all of us?"

The two masked men in black robes looked at each other confusedly.

"Do you not know what we are capable of?

Three powerful sects have asked you to join them and you have decided to turn all of us down?"

One of the men in black robes stared at Darren incredulously.

"I apologize, I do not know who you are. I do not wish to be a part of any faction," Darren replied

calmly.

"Have you not heard of the Crimson Sea Sect? Or of the Golden Sacred Sect? Surely, you have heard

about the Heaven Lake Sect?"

"Not really," Darren replied. C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.

Everyone stared at Darren, wide-eyed. Suddenly, they all burst into laughter.

"What an idiot! I don't know how he was able to learn all of these skills," the woman from the Heaven

Lake Sect said, squinting at Darren.

"Listen carefully, little boy. The Heaven Lake Sect is the strongest of the five forces. The reason why I

gave you an invitation was because we wanted to see if you were strong enough to be one of us. Are

you still too arrogant to accept it? If you miss this opportunity, you won't have a second chance even if

you kneel in front of me and beg," the young man in blue sneered.

"Bullshit! Who do you think you are? How dare you claim to be the strongest of the five forces? You

must have a death wish!"

The two men in the Crimson Sea Sect heard his words. A blood-red aura emanated from the both of

them.

They too were strong warriors who had comprehended the Fringe Holy Will.

"Do you want to put our skills to the test? Why don't we fight?" the young man in blue shouted.

"You son of a bitch! You bastard from the Heaven Lake Sect! Now you will see the full force of our

might!" The men of the Crimson Sea Sect began to attack.

Darren and Isaac watched the two factions quarrelling and attempted to quietly make their exit.

"Stop right there!" the woman noticed them leaving and shouted at them. "Boy, first you don't accept

the invitation of the Heaven Lake Sect and now, you dare try to slip away?"

"Why should I accept it?" Darren turned around and faced her, his blade and sword intents beginning to

pulsate and radiate their power.

"What she meant to say was people like you who dare refuse us must be killed in order to ensure that

you do not pose a threat to any of us—or join any other faction, for that matter,"

the people from the Golden Sacred Sect spoke. They, too, desired to kill Darren since he refused to

join any of them.

"If you lot from the Crimson Sea Sect really want to fight with us, bring it on. But before that, don't you

think we should take care of this arrogant little boy and his friend first?" Ryan, the leader of the three

from the Heaven Lake Sect said.

"Arrogant? Me? Are you sure you know what you're getting into?"

Darren gritted his teeth, feeling anger course through his veins.

"May I remind you that you are the ones who followed me here and started heckling me? You guys

want to kill me just because I refused to join you. In spite of all the hostility you have shown me,

somehow I'm still the arrogant one? I just want to ask you, who do you think you are?" Darren shouted.

"Calm down, Darren! We can't afford to provoke these people. We should focus on finding a way to

escape." Isaac sent a message to Darren with his spiritual sense.

"They were never going to let us go anyways. We might as well prepare for a fight," Darren responded

with his spiritual sense, getting ready for the imminent battle.
