Chapter 1419 Subdue Carthy

CHAPTER 1419 SUBDUE CARTHY

Carthy carried himself in a refined and civil manner, yet his dark eyes bubbled with clear mockery as he

stared at Darren.

He had not come across many humans before. He had heard that they were very stubborn creatures,

and almost all of them would rather die than surrender. Now though, it seemed that rumor was not true.

It was only this young man in the purple robes in front of him that seemed unwilling to obey him.

"All you have to do is provide me with your blood and I will make you a noble bloodsucker. We could

even be friends," Carthy said, still smiling.

"Do you really believe you're even qualified to be my friend?" Darren responded. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

Although he was unsure of the bloodsucker's strength, his own was capable of displaying the power of

the middle-level of the Celestial God Realm. He did not see himself losing with that sort of strength

within him.

Even if he could not defeat the bloodsucker, offering him his blood was absolutely out of the question.

"I do not want to force you into submission. If I did, your blood would turn bitter. But it seems I must do

what I have to since you're being so stubborn. Once I've killed you, I'll gift your blood to my

subordinates!"

Whoosh!

Carthy spread his large wings and his eyes filled with blood vitality as his aura turned menacing and

bloody.

Darren could feel that his aura was easy enough for him to handle. As it turned out, the strength of this

bloodsucker was not all that impressive.

Carthy's bloody claw stretched out rapidly, attempting to grab at Darren's neck and take a firm, deadly

grip. Darren shifted himself slightly and Carthy slid past his target. He flailed back again without

hesitation to try and get hold of Darren, but was still unable to touch him.

After a dozen more failed attempts, he finally gave in and stopped.

His frustration mounting, he opened his mouth, baring his sharp teeth in anger.

This human was much faster than he had imagined!

"It's my turn now," Darren said with such strength and confidence in his voice.

His face cold and unforgiving, he waved his sword around.

Boom!

Majestic sword intent filled every inch of space around them.

Startled and unnerved, Carthy took off upwards and disappeared in an instant.

The sword intent struck many of the bat-like winged creatures surrounding the Thunder Bird, sending a

great deal of them plummeting to the ground.

This single strike had killed at least a few thousand of them.

"Who is this guy?"

"How is it possible that he's so powerful?"

"Oh my God! His sword intent is so unbelievably terrifying, even more than some warriors at the

Celestial God Realm I've seen!"

"Is it possible we might actually be saved? Thank God!"

The rest on the Thunder Bird were both surprised and pleased when they felt the intense power of

Darren's sword intent. They filled with a sudden hope they had thought was lost to them.

This young man was certainly not as ordinary as he seemed; his strength was in fact beyond what they

could have imagined him having! It was no wonder he dared to stand up to Carthy. They were all

uplifted by the reality that someone could actually save them.

"Sir, please save us. We would be ever so grateful."

Half of them quickly scurried behind Darren in the hope that he would protect them.

"Get away from me!" Darren erupted.

His sword intent swirled and his killing intent was fierce.

"What's the matter?"

"We are all humans, sir. Why won't you protect us?"

Everyone exchanged looks of dismay. Was this person so selfish that he did not care to save his own

kind when they were in danger?

"I'll only say this once more. Get away from me, or I will behead you," Darren said, his tone getting

colder.

They did not move, deliberately ignoring Darren's threats. He then felt he had to make an example of

them and released a stream of sword intent and cut off an arm of one of them!

These cowards had just begged for mercy from the bloodsucker but now came to him for protection

when they realized he was much stronger. What a ridiculous bunch! He would rather save a dog than

save these cowards.

The people were now scared stiff. They soon scuttled off out of fear that Darren might kill them if they

stayed.

Hostility, resentment and killing intent rushed into Darren's body. With their hopes of protection

shattered, they now had even greater hostility towards Darren than the group with Ellis did.

Darren sneered at the thought of these pitiful people. 'Hate me as much as you can. It will only improve

my cultivation base that much more!' he thought happily.

Carthy landed in front of Darren again, staring him down with darkness rising in his eyes.

"There are not many powerful warriors like you among the humans."

"You are ignorant," Darren scoffed. "You see me as a powerful warrior? You are truly an ignorant bug!"

"How dare you call me a bug? You have angered me now and you will die!"

"You talk way too much. Perhaps I should shut that mouth of yours for you!" Darren darted and made

his move.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Violent sword intent rushed out once more.

Carthy wrapped his wings around himself and began rotating.

Clank, clank, clank!

Surprisingly, Carthy's high-speed spinning like a tornado blocked Darren's sword intent, sending it

bouncing off in ten different directions.

Whoosh!

Shadows flashed all around and countless Carthys appeared surrounding Darren. It was an illusion

created by his extreme pace, ghostly images of where he had once been.

Darren seemed calm and collected, closing his eyes.

"Swordsmanship from the depths of my heart," he whispered to himself.

Darren brandished his divine sword and slashed perfect sword maneuvers between the shadows

around him.

Large splats of blood fell with every strike he sent forward.

Dozens of strikes later, a blackened figure crashed down heavily with wounds covering its body.

"No!"

Carthy cried out, trembling with fear. His speed was beyond human perception and yet he was still

sliced with every sword strike!

Could it be that this human had some hidden strength and was a warrior at the Superior God Realm?

When he had left to hunt for blood, his father had warned him to flee as fast as he could when he

encountered a human cultivator at the Superior God Realm. If he didn't, his extraordinary speed would

be no advantage to him and he'd be done for.

But, the cultivation base of the human before him was clearly at a very low level, why should he have to

flee? Carthy had paid special attention to studying the realms of human beings to allow him to hunt

successfully and efficiently. He had done this to avoid the very situation he was now in.

He began to panic and suddenly felt a strange feeling crawling all over his body, a feeling he had never

experienced before.

"Ah! Ah!"

Carthy yelped as he scratched at his body desperately with his bloody claws.

In a matter of a few breaths, his entire body was covered in his own blood from his clawing. He was a

truly harrowing sight to behold.

He curled into a ball, twitching, reeling and writhing from inescapable discomfort. Darren's itchy poison

was certainly not something warriors beneath the Superior God Realm could handle!

"Sir, please let me go... set me free from this torture..."

Carthy begged, biting down hard, trying to suppress his anguish.

"Darren, you cannot let him go. Allow me to beat him to tiny pieces," Weber said, jumping out and

waving his fist in the air.

"No," Darren replied sternly, raising his hand to motion Weber to stop.

"You plan to let him go?" Weber asked.

"Do you think I'm even more stupid than you?" Darren asked, glaring at Weber.

"Well..." was all the response Weber could manage. He was left speechless and embarrassed.

"I can spare your life, but only if you swear by your soul that you will believe in the Conflicting Chief

God for the rest of your life." Darren had not killed him already because he wanted to make him his

believer.

As a Defiant Master, Darren was able to turn all creatures in the Primitive Wilderness to his believers.

He had even managed to subdue Kerr, a fiend general; there was no way he was going to let this

bloodsucker go.

"Swear to believe in the Conflicting Chief God?"

Carthy was in unbearable pain and yet he could not help but be surprised. This man was actually a

Defiant Master!

As he knew it, every Defiant Master was an incomparably powerful existence.

Their bloodsucker race had Defiant Masters as well. Each of them had dared to challenge the

Bloodsucker Princes. There were even legends of Defiant Masters attempting to kill the Bloodsucker

Ancestor and seize the throne!

It was no surprise then that this human had such a strange and powerful ability; he was in fact a

Defiant Master!

"Surrender or suffer eternal torture. Your fate is your own to decide," Darren said indifferently.

Carthy did not dare to hesitate. The identity of being a Defiant Master was enough to rattle him to his

core, let alone the extreme discomfort he was in. All he could think of was ridding himself of the pain.

"I, Carthy, will believe in and serve the Conflicting Chief God with all my heart, for the rest of my life..."

Carthy said, making his oath while enduring the pain.
