CHAPTER 814 THE MONKEY VERSUS THE FIRE KYLIN (PART TWO)
The Fire Kylin could barely defend against the monkey's attacks. The sudden assault from the leader of
the Water Kylin Clan caught him off guard, and he wasn't prepared to fight back.
"Howl!"
Incapable of defending against both opponents, the Fire Kylin chose to ignore the attacks from the
patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan. The Fire Kylin roared as several powerful blows hit him.
He had no other alternative at this moment.
If the monkey's attacks hit him, the Fire Kylin would be severely injured, which would lead to a loss of
his fighting capacity. There was also the likelihood that he would die from the monkey's attacks. The
Fire Kylin couldn't take that risk. However, the blows from the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan were
still within his tolerance range. As such, his fighting capacity would not be significantly affected if he
allowed the attacks to hit him.
Dazzling blue thunder and lightning headed for the Fire Kylin.
"Humph! Another beast wants to take away my toy. How can I allow that?"
The monkey's reaction to the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan joining the battle, however, puzzled
everyone. Instead of continuing his attacks on the Fire Kylin, the monkey swung his stick at the Water
Kylin Clan's leader. Numerous shadows appeared, ready to target the latter.
At the same time, the monkey's figure disappeared, and in the blink of an eye, he reappeared in front of
the blue lightning.
The Water Kylin Clan's patriarch's heart beat faster as he thought, 'This monkey is interfering in my
plans. Damn it!' As the shadows created by the monkey were nearing him, the patriarch had to defend
against them.
Tens of thousands of kilometers away, Darren and the others frowned when they noticed the situation.
"The monkey is so stupid! Why did he turn to attack my grandfather? Damn it," the Water Kylin
muttered as rage coursed through him.
"A fierce beast as strong as the monkey will be too proud and arrogant to share a target with another
fighter. He will not battle the Fire Kylin with your grandfather," the old turtle man explained calmly. He
seemed to have a better understanding of the thinking of fierce warriors.
"Darren! This monkey has astonishing power! Could he be Barnes the Holy?" Finley asked abruptly.
"It's not possible. Barnes the Holy earned quite the reputation. Over the past few million years,
everyone heard about his skills. This monkey can't compare with him. From what I have heard about
Barnes the Holy, he can kill a holy emperor!" Darren rejected Finley's suggestion.
"Maybe an unknown force still suppresses him, which is why he can't display his real strength," the
Water Kylin rationalized.
"What the Water Kylin said sounds reasonable," Finley agreed.
Darren, however, shook his head slightly. He never believed that this monkey could be Barnes, the
Holy.
Meanwhile, the war in the distance grew in intensity.
As the monkey placed himself in front of the blue thunder and lightning, his hair stood on his body.
Then, he stretched out his hand and hit the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Although the blue thunder and lightning began to dissipate, the impact exhausted the monkey.
"Nine Golden Body Skill!"
the monkey muttered as he hovered in midair.
A faint halo enveloped the monkey just as the powerful blue thunder and lightning bombarded his body.
Crack, crack!
Lightning snakes fluttered in the sky, but the monkey remained motionless.
"Wow!"
The Fire Kylin was amazed. The monkey's strength was so terrifying that he could withstand such a
powerful blow from the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan. The Fire Kylin knew he wouldn't have been
able to defend against that kind of attacking power.
He had fought against the monkey before the patriarch interjected. However, not once had the Fire
Kylin managed to hit the monkey. Only then did he realize that the monkey was stronger than he had
imagined.
The Fire Kylin estimated that the monkey's defense was only a little inferior to that of the old turtle man.
Powerful and highly defensive, the monkey was invincible in front of the two kylins.
By now, the blue thunder and lightning had dispersed. Of course, the faint halo around the monkey's
body had faded as well.
"Not bad. You managed to break my Third Golden Body,"
the monkey said as he glanced at the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan. Contempt reflected in his eyes. C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.
At this moment, the Fire Kylin sensed an opportunity.
The monkey had just admitted to the Water Kylin Clan's leader that his golden body had been
weakened. Now that his back was turned toward the Fire Kylin, it was the perfect time to launch a
sneak attack.
The Fire Kylin's eyes flashed with coldness, and he acted on his impulse.
His flaming paw flew toward the monkey's head. The Fire Kylin envisioned his flaming paw colliding
with the monkey's head and making it explode.
"Die!"
Excitement coursed through the Fire Kylin as he thought, 'You were bold enough to help my enemy.
You deserve to die!'
"Clang!"
A crisp sound echoed, as though a bell, which had existed for millions of years, was knocked by
someone.
"What!"
After the blow, the Fire Kylin retreated as soon as possible. To his surprise, the attack did not hurt the
monkey at all.
On the contrary, the monkey's facial muscles twitched, and he released a long hiss. Then, he turned his
head, and his eyes were as cold as ice.
The monkey was enraged when he touched his head and found a big bump on it.
"You want to die? Fine! I will fulfill your wish!"
The monkey's voice was so horribly cold that it sent a shiver through the Fire Kylin. The stick that was
battling the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan returned to the monkey's hand.
"Damn it!
Devastation
Skill!"
the monkey roared with fury.
The color of this space changed dramatically. Suddenly, the shadow of a huge stick appeared above
the Fire Kylin.
The shadow of death covered the Fire Kylin.
At this moment, the Fire Kylin felt that no one could survive the stick shadow's attack.
It felt like the world was going to collapse above his head.
Tens of thousands of kilometers away, Darren and the others also felt shocked at the scene.
"It's so terrifying! I'm afraid that even the Raksa Sea will collapse under this blow."
"The attack by the Roc Demon Emperor, who used the hexahedral crystal, can't compare to the
monkey's attack."
Even the expression on the old turtle man's face had turned grim. He began calculating what would
happen if he used his powerful defense to resist this blow.
In his mind, he pictured the scene where he was defending against the monkey's attack.
As per his estimate, his defensive shield would break, and the massive stick shadow would land on his
body. He would then try to resist it with the shell on his back.
The old turtle man could see that his shell would be unable to resist the blow, and his body would
shatter.
"It is indeed a powerful attack. That's how strong he is."
When the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan saw this scene, shocks arose from the bottom of his heart.
"Is he going to kill the Fire Kylin?" he whispered.
For some reason, the thought of the Fire Kylin's death unsettled the leader of the Water Kylin Clan.
A tinge of regret filled his heart as he seemed to have seen the shadow of the first ancestor in the Fire
Kylin.
He was crazy, unruly, and bloodthirsty. The Fire Kylin seemed to share these characteristics with their
first ancestor, as recorded in the clan book.
"No!"
the Fire Kylin roared. The stick was so mighty that he felt utterly powerless and unable to fight against
it.
Buzz.
Suddenly, a buzz resounded through the sky and the earth.
A split second later, silence descended in the space.
A fiery red hexahedral crystal rose slowly from the Fire Kylin's head.
The dazzling fire pierced the sky, and with the mighty power, it eclipsed the light of the stick shadow.
"What?"
the patriarch of the Water Kylin Clan shouted.
He couldn't believe what he had witnessed. He felt as though he was in a dream-like state when he
saw the fiery red hexahedral crystal.
"That's impossible. That's impossible,"
the patriarch murmured. Then, as though an invisible power was controlling his body, the patriarch bent
his front legs and kneeled before the Fire Kylin.
The scene confused everyone in the distance, except for the old turtle man, who stood still and seemed
to understand what had happened.
At the sight of the fiery red hexahedral crystal, the ferocious monkey released a sizzling sound before
retreating tens of thousands of feet.
