Christmas Special: Sun and Moon(Part 9)

Little time remaining with them, these few connecting hearts. Everyone running towards the same goal, sounding their spirits in the night.

The snow falling below, coating the blazing fire around the city. People gathering around, some at the headquarters, witnessing the group in the area.

"A slight miscalculation. With these many people here, they might get caught up in the crossfire." Cyra's uncertainty, her hand on her chin.

"There is no backing out now. I do not like this situation just as much as you do, but Lucil is waiting for us." Ava's hand on her waist.

"As she said, all we can do is try to minimize whatever damage comes from here." Isa folding her arms.

"Oh let's hurry this up, I want to get to playing my new games! Though, I suppose it is time for Atlalune and I to also begin looking into adoption." Sol's finger to her chin.

"Eh?" the ex-mercenary blankly looking to her wife.

"Same. For a while now, I as well wanted to start a family with Isa." Elina's hand to her chest.

"Ladies...I...I think we are screwed..." Isa's hands to her chest, her unease.

"So true..." Ava and Atlalune agreeing, a sigh leaving them.

"Been there done that, good luck." Valor stretching his arms above.

"Haha, yeah." Cyra pleasantly agreeing, her hands behind her back.

Lives progressing onward, building more into their world. Fernandez looking at his friends, relishing in the joy in the place.

Everyone soon proceeding, breaking through the front door. An alarm loudly sounding in the area, the group immediately splitting off.

Atlalune and Sol making their way up the stairs from the east end, striking down their enemies on the way up. Eventually standing in a hallway, plants stretching along the length.

"We should keep heading up, one of the other ones will go to floor six to deactivate the traps." Atlalune watching the approaching guards.

"Alright, but keep an eye out for anything suspicious. If they escape with Lucil, we might lose her forever." Sol's serious vision.

"Yeah, let's get going!" the knight rushing ahead, striking through her enemies with her knives.

On a higher floor, in a dark lonely room. Lucil hearing loud sounds from the outside, screams from the people in the place. Shortly seeing the door open, a large man running up to her.

"Get up! We are leaving now!" he commands.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

"No! I want to go home!" she yells.

"If you don't get up! I'll make you!" his great fury.

The girl seeing the light shining brighter in the darkness, hoping for them to reach her. Her great unrest, listening to the person.

From below, Valor racing into the control room, spreading his icy mist. The stretching energy, freezing the area in his chilling force, crushing the guards in the place.

The deity quickly racing onward, passing the falling enemies. Hastily accessing the computer, bypassing its functions, shutting down the traps in the building. Shortly looking at the screens, spotting the large man fleeing with Lucil.

A race against time, foes everywhere in the headquarters. The god quickly searching for the closest one to the man, soon spotting his wife nearby. Pressing his finger on a button, speaking into it.

"Big bear to psychotic lion over! Head to the fourth floor, and intercept from the western side." Valor smiling.

"Of course he is the one to find the control room, why wouldn't he?" Cyra shaking her head in disbelief, smiling a bit.

Fernandez jumping up onto the wide board, the animal pressing a button, sending the location to all screens in the building. The large man racing by, holding Lucil's hand.

The girl seeing the many people coming to her aid, her mind on Clea. A person's truthful words, bliss filling the small one's heart.

One door opening after the next, someone popping out, blocking his path. Cyra, Ava, Dabria, Isa, Elina, Atlalune and Sol. The person's unrestful eyes on them, shortly witnessing Valor and the iguana walking in.

"End of the road pal." The god shrugging.

"Unhand Lucil at once!" Sol furiously stepping forward.

"While I would like to have some fun, there is a child here, so I will refrain." Ava's slight smile.

"Thank goodness..." Dabria sighing in relief.

"True, best to hold off." Isa's hand behind her head.

"I agree..." Elina's unrest.

"Not another move!" the man quickly pulling Lucil close, aiming a firearm at her.

"Ah..." The kid's clear fear.

Flowing energy in the area wrapping around the field, infusing into the mage. Her shining aura of the sun, binding the man's arm with fire magic. The individual unable to pull the trigger, his uneasy vision on her.

"Witch of Heavenly Fate, I guess I should have expected this much." His stern expression on her.

"Call me what you want, but you are not leaving here alive." The mage walking towards him.

The noble-woman's furious spirit, feeling the child's great fear, wishing to bring them home to friendly faces. Sol shortly before him, taking the girl from him. Lucil clinging to the mage, quietly sobbing.

"It is okay...we are going to go back to Clea." Her soft voice.

"You...really did come..." The girl's heavy breathing.

"Heh, it is over for you, witch." The man's sinister smile.

"Watch out!" Atlalune running forward.

The leader's spreading malice, alarmingly catching everyone's attention. His darkness wrapping around Sol and the small one, trapping them in a deep darkness.

From afar, the man shedding his skin. His largely expanding form, long twin blades from his arms, looking ahead with his red eyes.

"A demon." Sol's stern vision on him.

"Yes, I am Czer. Also known as the Reaper." Folding his arms, his sinister smile on her.

"Wh--what do we do...?" Lucil's unease.

"Leave it to me, okay?" the mage warmly smiling down at them.

The young woman's purely shining aura, wrapping the area in her warmth. The small one believing in their words, slowly stepping away. Watching the person walk onward, facing the threat in the depths of the abyss.

"What was the reason for forcing Flint to sell Lucil to you?" her sharp eyes on the demon.

"It wasn't decided yet, but someone like her fetches a hefty price. Whatever it may be, just business." Gesturing his hand to the mage.

"No more than that huh..." Shaking her head in disgust.

"You Sol, you escaped my clutches in the past. I sent Flint there to secure your marriage, but that damned Atlalune showed up." His strict eyes.

"Everything starts with you, and so...it will end with you. I will show you what rests in the depths of my soul, and forever close the past." Swinging out her arm.

"Is that so? The way I see it, it is the chance to finish what was started long ago." His devilish smile.
