Chapter 8: Those to the Heart(Part 1)

An unrelenting heart, one proceeding in her way. Once steeling herself, hardening her center. A sword for the church, defeating her foes. Ferociousness of her, her powerful resolve. Talents in the eyes of numerous, an opportunity leading to countless more. Moving through the ranks, venturing out. Strategic of her, covering her weak points. Skillfulness with the blade, many idolizing her. Minimizing contact, this of her way. Interacting at times, leading them. Working with innumerable, enemies now of them. Her current path, her determination to save an innocent one.

Setting lands ablaze, destroying lives, committing atrocities. Embracing her selfishness, imperfections inside of her. Understanding more, these natural sentiments. Becoming corruption itself, an Iconoclast of her. Racing in an abyss of blackness, cutting through shadowy hands. Reaching for the faintest light, that partner at the end of this nightmare. A pure individual, two meeting underneath the light of the crimson moon. These never leaving memories, cherishing them. Making her way high, sounds from afar. Many aiding her, her guiding presence.

Former enemies of some, those coming in her time of need. Gratefulness to them, these blissful feelings. Limiting foes, giving that maiden time to reach her partner. The empty halls, sounds from her movements. Her careful gaze, looking to the window. An enormous battle, everyone fighting for what is inside. Believing in their path, these natural feelings, scarring sentiments. This never changing, eternally branding conflict. An opponent in mind, that leader. Defeating her four years prior, everything slipping out of her hands. Spinning a narrative, an enemy of her. Fineness with it, her way in going forward.

"I am almost there...Elina..." Her serious tone.

Darkness around her, a night of despair. Essentialness in making haste, carefully proceeding. That flowing energy outside, azure light to her gaze. This unsettling her, a presence in the shadows. Eyes on her, awareness on an entity, unable to do anything. One without a form, watching her movements. Focusing her mind, her next target ahead. Ascending higher, finding herself on the second layer. An open room, stairs around the corners. A pathway above, one in front of her. His crimson hair, those eyes of the sea. His white armor, two resting their vision on each other again.

"Aiden." Calmness from her, her hand on her waist.

"Been a while, Isa..." Distantness from him.

Her powerful resolve, refusing to relent. Clashing against former allies, committing atrocities. One coming to her aid, bringing many more. Friends contending with threats below, giving her time to save her companion. Clearing out the areas, weakening their force. Guiding emotions, following along in its endlessness. Embracing her imperfections, her selfish path. An enemy to countless, accepting it. Blackness secreting from her, an abomination upon this world. Her increasing strength, power mirroring her determination.

"You could have killed me back at the prison, why did you not do so?" that young man looking away.

A friend from the past, those once working alongside one another. Distancing herself, sparing some words. Her guiding presence, leading him onward. Her encouraging message, her displaying will. Admiring this, wanting to meet a similar line. Clashing with her, improving his abilities. Sparing his life before, unable to understand the reason. Wishing to believe in her, her actions since the prison. Burning lands, destroying lives, atrocities on numerous. Her direction towards that innocent one, her clear resolve. A question plaguing his mind, wondering on it since that night.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

"I needed someone to return alive." Folding her arms.

"Is that really it...?" lowering his head.

"Everything I have done, it has been for Elina..." Her attention a bit away.

A problematic individual, believing in his cause. An incident at the prison, clashing against him. Allowing him to leave, importance in this. Thinking on the alternative, a dangerous person. Meaning behind her actions, her encrypting words. Gazing at her, their connecting eyes. Methods from old, assessing her message. Her direction towards Elina, three friends from the past, a chance in this. That one still there, uncertainty inside of him. Her way in guiding others, this no less one of them. An enemy before him, two meeting in this endless stream. Gripping his blade, his firm stance.

"Tell me one thing. Your selfishness...it is because you still cherish the friendship you, Elina, and I once had. By letting me go, you did it for her." His serious gaze.

"Is that your conclusion?" her katana afar.

"It is, and it pains me. Though, I have to believe in what I am doing. Those were your words to me..."

"Then come, strike me down with that resolve." Stepping forward, gesturing her hand to herself.

Secrecy of her, this from the past. Her own methods, proceeding in her way. Frustrating at times, later understanding. Gratefulness to her, improving their development. Those once friends, meeting in this madness. A church turning them against one another, her message to him. One having to believe in his way, feverishly pursuing what is within. Uncertainty from him, his shaking will. Not wishing for this, a requirement of his position. A first class of him, surpassing her rank. Never able to best her, trying to meet this line. Standing on her side, directing her blade at him.

"Remember...sometimes, it is okay to be selfish..."

"Selfish huh. Isa, I still want to believe in you. One more battle between you and I, we will determine your truthfulness. If you are not sincere, then this will certainly lead to your demise." That one on his side, his blade towards her.

"Heh...very well, I accept." Faintly smiling at him.

Deep sentiments, two meeting in a black abyss. Enemies on the battlefield, those once together. Appreciating the young woman, following in her guidance. Falling at times, her hand to his vision. Raising him up, her messages to him. Circumstances dictating their position, each having their own reason. Proceeding towards their goal, cutting down others. His hasty chest, steadily circling her. An unflinching one, a decisive person. This familiar feeling, that never changing demon, commanding the scene. Dashing forward, his approaching blade. Stepping to her side, motioning her katana. Sliding it along the length of his weapon, firmly pressing against him.

"Even after you were arrested, I followed your guidance. Even after becoming first class...I knew I could never meet that line..." Lowering his head.

"It is not about reaching me, it is about doing what you can. Elina, she taught me that..." Softly smiling.

"I miss her too ya know..." Chuckling at this.

Her imprisonment, his crashing world. Elina in their hands, not understanding this. Remembering her words, following in her teaching. Learning of that hazel one's pain, remaining still. Believing in his path, holding onto this demon's message. Proudly serving the church, an enemy of a former friend. Her partner in the crossfire, doubt at times. Not having her with him, constantly falling. None aiding him, picking himself back up. Pushing forward, wanting answers.

That young woman seeking the position of another, evidence towards this. Clashing with her in the prison, something not right. Two meeting once more, searching for his solutions. Moving his sword, the maiden adjusting her stance. Both pressing against one another, shortly pulling away. Rapidly assaulting the other, flying sparks. Rushing behind her, his nearing blade. Her own hitting a point, shifting the angle. Slightly piercing her shoulder, blood streaming from her.

"Heh, that trick, you surprised me the first time you used it. I thought I had you, but it was another lesson." His gentle gaze.

"Always know your position, and never use more force than needed. Those were my words." Her soft tone.

"And when Elina saw me battered, she gave you an earful haha." Brightly smiling.

"Haha, I miss those days you know..." Slightly grinning at him.

"I do as well..." Sadness from him.
