Chapter 21: Those Eternally Resisting(Part 1)

A heart reflecting the dusk, one approaching with the passing hour. Many greatly fearing the maiden, their loud cries in the night. Countless fleeing, the higher ranks reluctantly remaining.

Along the walls of the castle, Envy the Knight of Darkness waiting by the edge. Calmly folding his arms, his gentle eyes on the crimson moon above.

His mind on the end of his torment, sentiments eternally clawing away at him. A body no longer his own, his belief in a person holding infinite possibilities.

"So even Wrath fell to her. I can only wonder, will you free me as well? Come demon, I am waiting for your arrival." Envy glancing back to his partner.

An event long ago, his hazy memories. These slowly returning events, both reaching for their freedom again. A person from long ago, her sad eyes on the knight from a distance.

Holding her hands to her chest, believing in the Iconoclast. The knight's attention to the land, his partner walking up to his side. Prisoners in their own bodies, darkness consuming them, yet their will to resist Hades.

"Maybe we can finally rest now, old friend..." Envy's gentle voice.

From below, the young woman entering a towering room. Her vision above, seeing the stretching path. Devils roaming in the place, shadows in the walls. Lizard demons, orcs, hellhounds, countless in this place.

A castle in a terrible state, the Lord of Darkness' desperation. Feeling the thickening malice, numerous in one area. The intensifying dusk, the Eternal Night influencing demons underneath its light.

One born underneath the crimson moon, a person reflecting the night. Walking along her direction, carrying her many experiences. The slowly gathering enemies, their attention on her. The maiden reaching back, gripping the hilt of her blade, shortly extending it afar.

Her cautious foes, soon watching her run towards them. Immediately acting, charging at her. A heart racing along her route, refusing to remain quiet. A person steadily returning, wrapping others in her warmth.

Nearing the stairs, a specter revealing in front of her. Raising its claw, lunging down at her. The young woman's swift movements, launching an uppercut, instantly severing the demon in half.

Running onward, the falling halves burning away into azure fight. That entity ascending the path, lizard monsters running down from the wall. One immediately attacking, its talon to her.

Immediately intercepting the assault, grabbing its arm, slamming it into the ground. Her descending sword, stabbing through its skull. Blood painting the stairs, horrors underneath the dusk.

Continuing in her direction, striking down her foes. Making her way higher, seeing the end of her nightmare. Many with her in the abyss, leading her to the finish. An individual carrying their hopes and dreams, enduring the worsening night.

Placing away her weapon, gripping Reviver. Holding it backwards, generating intense electricity, transferring it to the weapon. Her vision on the countless swarming enemies, someone meeting this challenge.

"Envy, it was your words that helped me at my time of uncertainty..." Her mild voice.

Standing on the platform of memories, her eyes on some clearing events from the past. A knight aiding her, his words stirring a fire in her. The young woman following through on it, seeing her path to the realm of the gods.

Two approaching one another after a long time, her determination to meet him once more. Unleashing the massive assault, the electrical force spreading in the room. Vastly traveling, frying her opponents.

Those screaming demons, lightning tearing them apart. Binding her foes in a prison, shortly turning from the sight. Raising her offhand, snapping her fingers. Compressing this power within the area, soon violently releasing it.

An enormous explosion ripping through the room, eradicating the monsters. The young woman calmly facing ahead, a clear path to her. Her moving feet, running to the top of the castle.

Approaching the peak, pushing open the door. The demon walking out into the open, arriving at the walls of the castle. Her eyes on the Knight of Darkness and his partner, two awaiting her.

"It has been a while, Cyra." His calm voice on her.

Proceeding forward, her vision on him. Slightly shifting her gaze a bit away, seeing a spirit of a woman. Someone not giving up on Envy, her heart trying to reach him for years.

Shortly standing before the two, her eyes on these individuals. Her increasing sentiments, his ringing words inside of her. Envy's great malice, his hazy memories, yet a promise within his mind.

"My intention was also that the seal would have broken Hades control over you, but I was wrong..." Her sad vision, resting her hand on her chest.

"I figured, but I guess this means I cannot be saved huh..." His eyes a bit to his side.

"Envy, I will find a way to help you like you have done for me..." Lowering her head.

A knight from the past, his meaningful messages. Allies on different ends, both having to fight against the other. Their hearts in one place, two sharing similar sentiments.

Feeling the cold breeze against them, the bleeding light shining down on those friends. The Accursed facing her, steadily seeing the return from an old one. His faith in her, meeting this devil on the battlefield again.

"You are such a strange person. Someone who is able to give hope onto others, yet not yourself." His faint smile.

An entity continuously fighting, her low trust in others. Enduring her harsh actuality, crushing her countless challenges. A person giving hope onto others, wrapping them in her warmth.

That demon sinking further into the darkness, her silent tears for years. Envy turning from her, his eyes to the velvet moon. His steadily clearing memories, a knight giving up much, trying to claim his wish.

"Maybe even now, I feel like I cannot grasp that myself. However, there are many that have shown me, that I am not alone. As such, I will continue to believe there is light in the deepest darkness." Her soft voice.

"Heh. In my days as a human, I was unable to protect anyone with my strength, a god slaughtering countless before my eyes. If only I had that kind of belief you have..." Glancing back to the maiden.

A promise with another long ago, that knight's determination to fulfill it. Carrying on in his path, powerfully pushing forward. Everything slipping away from him, his never ending torment.

Eventually witnessing a demon's conviction, a person rising even at her lowest point. These flowing sentiments in the breeze, two before one another. Their connecting hearts, both linking on a common line.

"You give me too much credit. As I said, I am far weaker than you think I am. No matter, I do believe we can both move away from this life." Cyra slightly looking away.

"Maybe there is a way. Demon, whether you crush me or not, that is your decision. Either way I will be saved, my time has long passed. What remains, is if you have the will to feverishly pursue your goal." Extending his spear afar.

A man walking down his dark path, heading towards his end. His desire to be free, resisting the shackles on his body. A knight's pride, someone guiding her direction, leaving behind his lessons.

Putting his faith in her, one able to bring forward miracles. An individual enduring the weight of her sins, shouting what is inside of her. Listening to his words, the maiden nodding her agreement.

"I have not given up on you, Envy. Your sister as well wishes for your return." Standing on her side, looking up to the blood moon

"You really are a strange demon, but I suppose I know why so many put their faith in you." Facing the devil.

A person selfishly racing after her goal, wrapping others in her warmth. A gentle hand to many, bringing them away from their sorrow. Someone carrying their hopes and dreams, giving meaning to their existence.

A burden on her shoulders, her steadily weakening psyche. The demon steadily making her way down her dark route, others diving in. These pleasant souls leading her forward, guiding her to the end of the nightmare.

"Then enlighten me, since I will like to know why they do." Her faint smile to the knight.

"Despite your own pain, your own sorrow. You hear them, you give them a voice, and carry their will. Whether it is your intention or not to bring miracles, you've connected countless." Envy sticking his spear into the ground at his side.

Walking along her lonely direction for a long time, not realizing the weight of her actions. Those over her years, a soft heart linking many together throughout time. The maiden looking behind her, seeing innumerable spirits.

Her hand to her chest, her vision a bit below. A person giving them a voice, this individual taking on their will. A demon bringing ruin in her despair, yet granting miracles onto others.

"You might not be able to achieve your goal on your own, but certainly those you reach will help you along the way. So, just keep feverishly reaching after it." The knight's calm voice.

A man binding in chains, his wish to aid her. Believing in her possibilities, moving her closer towards her awakening. A soft heart in the storm, resisting its harsh tides. Pushing against her challenges, rising stronger than before.

A demon internalizing his message, keeping her vision at the end of her path. Her increasing emotions, her moving feet, extending her hand to the slimmest light.

"Thank you, Envy. I will meet your efforts with the noble pride of a demon..." Her hand to her chest.

"Good, and when the day comes. As I said, I will be saving you a special place in hell." His slight smile.

"Heh, that is honestly too kind for me." Returning a similar grin to him.

Two underneath the bleeding light, a cruel actuality putting them against one another. Their linking hearts, a knight aiding her along her way. Another battle after years, the young woman's wish to save him.

Her uncertainty on doing so, her mind on the possibilities. Her intention to truly meet him on the battlefield, granting him his desire. That devil gripping Reviver, soon stretching it afar, her calm vision on her opponent.
