Years dictating his course, expecting cruelty. Wandering in blackness, pushing onward. Loathing those around him, anger inside of him. Keeping to himself, his ill views. Never ending problems, constantly needing more money. Continuously venturing out, concerning with his sister. Scars on his body, numerous harsh lessons. Accepting dangerous jobs, proceeding in his direction. Someone coming along, unable to determine her reason, witnessing her purely shining soul.

"I guess so..." Michael slightly looking away.

Noticing his mood, some concern from her. Wondering on it, her presence possibly causing it. Worrying about this, a mercenary with fascinating tales. Their venture on the way, his kindness towards her. This vast world, many existing within it. Her extravagant life, avoiding those like him. Others never informing her, her small view. A man not caring for trivialities, his direction to one. Witnessing cruelty, experiencing its path. Secrets in the shadows, classes not the same. No matter of their different worlds, a similar ground connecting a times.

"Do you...hate me...?" sadly tilting her head towards him, gripping her upper arm.

Her shifting tone, the mercenary glancing to her. This familiar expression, his sister doing the same. A sigh leaving him, his harsh behavior. His ill views, frustrations within. Unable to clear his mind, this important mission. Needing to complete it, his desperate situation. A line lighting his path, racing along it. Reaching for it, stifling his anger. Those working, misfortune on some. Countless tramping on others, a normal occurrence. Meeting a curious princess, her numerous questions.

"No, not you specifically, but your father." His hand behind his head.

"My father...? Why...?" confusion from her, her hand to her chest.

Not despising her, his hatred towards another. Slightly looking below, pondering on his words. A decision in his hands, wondering on telling her. Her little knowledge, those believing in the best. His grim expression, turning away his attention a bit. Accepting jobs, living a terrible life. Meeting a princess, this one not leaving him alone. Her similarity to another, answering her questions. This innocence from her, naivety protecting her from sorrow. Thinking for a moment, coming to the conclusion on her right to know.

"I may work all of these damn jobs, but I ain't loaded...he raised not only the tax, but the rent fee. I can barely even afford to get my sister her medication, and now this...? Sorry...I just ain't in a good mood." His bitter tone, punching the ground at his side.

His sister in a poor state, his deep frustrations. Increasing costs, trying to keep himself together. His harsh actuality, many terrible jobs, his body scarring with wounds. That princess listening to him, her slightly wide vision. A surprising situation to her, her cruel father. Never expecting this, these conflicting feelings inside of her. Truth in the mercenary's eyes, believing in him.

"That's...horrible...! I'll talk to my father. He shouldn't be doing this to someone risking their life for our kingdom..." Luna clutching her hands to her chest.

Those in ignorance, living their lives away from reality. This kind individual, innocence in a miserable realm. A rarity in it, a difference from others. One from the land, another from above. Worlds not the same, each proceeding in their own way. That grand person descending, offering some light to the darkness. These nice sentiments, yet a possibility in false hope. Glancing to the young woman, her concerning gaze, the mercenary looking away a bit.

"That's if you can get through to his thick skull. I mean no offense, but I already tried asking for some leniency, and he told me I would have to pay everything in full like everyone else. All I just asked for was better medicine at a cheaper price...nothing else..." Michael scowling a bit.

Voicing his situation, pleading with the King. A man refusing his request, his growing hatred. His ill view, a terrible world. Resisting the harsh tides, pushing against it. Screaming out, his shaking resolve. Options running thin, his assignment to escort the princess. Luna's vision to her side, her sad gaze. One having a simple wish, a leader not granting it.

I really shouldn't be giving a damn, but apparently my conscience got the best of me here...

Concerning with himself, not caring for others. Proceeding in his own way, completing jobs. Living on the battlefield, damning many. Trampling on the hopes of another, trying to grasp what is within. Meeting a strange person, their different class. Sharing reality with her, his deep guilt. Birds soaring along, the gently blowing wind. The flowing grass, this fresh scent around. That sighing mercenary, glancing to the princess.

"Look...it ain't your fault or anything like that..."

Uncontrollable factors, not blaming her for it. An innocent flower in this realm, a young woman learning a bit. Her attention on the mercenary, his reassuring eyes. Her slightly better mood, thinking on the outside world. Gazing down, little knowledge with her. A senseless occurrence, those secluding information from her. Needing to be aware, one bringing this to her attention, widening her vision.

"You can't go blaming yourself for what your father did, that's something I would never pin on you." His confident gaze to her.

This pure individual, shining light along his black path. Living through terrible experiences, unleashing his anger on his foes. His difficult ventures, accepting the challenge. Resisting horrible conditions, his burning heart. Continuously falling, rising stronger than before. Opposing reason, his never dying determination. Looking at her, witnessing her faint smile. That princess taking hold of his hand, rising from the land, this surprising situation.

"Come on you grouchy man, let's go have some fun for once." Brightly smiling at him.

What a weird princess...if I had only known then. I would have demanded everyone to turn back, damn them is all I have to say...

A weird individual, their different standing, each playing a role. A functioning system, few able to break past it. The will from one of old, creating endless possibilities. Damning innumerable, shouting their soul. Countless in awareness, numerous misunderstanding. An eternal conflict, each finding a place within this madness.

A natural occurrence, yet those trying to breakthrough the surface. That faintly smiling mercenary, rising from the land. Luna leading him onward, the man wondering on the location. Shortly finding himself in a field of lilies, residing at her side. Petals blowing in the wind, the gently flowing breeze.

"It's nice here huh, not a bad place to relax a bit." Her soft voice, her hands behind her back.

A guard to a princess, this shifting situation. That pure one shining light into his darkness, a persistent individual. Suspecting her at first, her innocent heart dissipating his concerns. Constantly proceeding in his way, numerous revering him for his title. Not caring for this, his goal in mind. Someone understanding, this strange person. Holding the back of his head, slightly looking down. Agreeing to some extent, enemies around every corner.

"Yeah, I guess so, beats the day to day job."

These simple moments, thinking on them. Hope inside of him, one brightening his way. Desiring for another to experience it, his never ending nightmares. Fearing the worst, accepting more jobs. Everything riding on his success, little time with him. Believing in betterment, a way to finally treat her condition. Wanting to relish in these experiences more, yearning to set aside his sword. That princess facing him, her hand to her chest. Her curious eyes, wondering on her next question.

"I have been curious, what is it like having a job? I mean, an actual job." Slightly tilting her head.

A natural question, their different standing. Each with their own role, their barely crossing lives. Performing her duties, revealing to the public. Closing in on some deals, almost never knowing the other side. A kind individual, her wonder in these small occurrences. His hard efforts, forcing through unfriendly terrains. A clear scar on his face, a story behind it. A lasting wound, forever seeing it in a mirror. A young woman living in luxury, everything in the palms of her hands. A weird individual, her shifting view.

"It can be hell, but it can also be fun, you work your way to a living. Sometimes, it can seem tedious, the same thing over and over again, but other times, it can feel amazing. Just depends really." Shrugging at her.

"I see...I guess your job seems tedious huh..." Slightly looking down.

"Very, but, it brings in a pay, so I am good." Folding his arms.

A repetitive life, having to play into the game. Circumstances dictating their potential, some settling smaller, others going further. Few making it beyond, using countless before them. Never ending cruelty, yet some kindness within the darkness. Two locking eyes, the mercenary slowly lowering his guard. Innocence in a horrible realm, her pure heart. Turning from him, the princess taking in the gentle breeze. Gazing into the blue sky, watching the moving clouds, numerous adventures underneath their presence.

"When we return, show me around the city. I haven't really had a chance to actually give these things a good look." Her soft voice, glancing back to him.

A bit bossy, but that is to be expected. Still...I only wish I did have a chance to do that...since it was on this night...
