Two hearts long ago with each other, pushing forward along their route. A promise forever branding on them, their desire to see it through to its conclusion.
Those friends sitting down at the edge of the docks underneath the shining sun, taking in the refreshing breeze. Some birds landing next to them, looking down at the water.
"Feels nice to have some peace." Elec resting his hand on his leg.
"No kidding, we had it rough out there." Valor propping his arms behind his head.
"It is a shame though, we have to head off so soon, like the damn wars never end." The man looking away, scowling a bit.
"That's how it can be, but all we gotta do is keep our eye on our goal. One day, we will succeed." The god putting a hand on his friend's shoulder, smiling at him.
Never ending wars, a man pushing himself, eventually realizing his limit. Witnessing his dream slipping out of his hands, watching his home fall into complete madness. These emotions gripping at the deity, those powerful waves crashing against him.
In a distant realm, Valor lying down underneath an enormous tree. Its force flowing down, wrapping him in its light. The god's slowly opening eyes, soon fixing his sight on it above.
"Yggdrasil, so, you still think I can change this situation...?" his distant eyes.
Feeling the gently blowing breeze around him, the swaying grass everywhere. Hearing the trees words, feeling its emotions running through him. Understanding its desire, the great tree believing in his possibilities.
"You're right, I cannot fall now. I still have a promise to keep." The deity rising to his feet.
A warm force washing over him, alleviating his pain, filling him with life. Witnessing his surroundings fading from him, soon opening his vision. The god standing up, looking at his dark surroundings.
"Elec, we can still make our dream into a reality. You have carried enough on your own, now it is my turn to pull my weight." The god heading off.
A soul walking down the black abyss, refusing to acknowledge his limit. Keeping his memories firmly within him, desiring to bring an old promise into actuality. Another high above in the castle, Elec in the Tyrant's throne room. Standing before Xea, his distant vision.
"We will shortly depart to another world and begin our work there." Xea tapping his chair handle.
"As you wish, just leave this world out of it as we agreed." Elec turning to his side, folding his arms.
"Ah yes, as we agreed, this world will be spared." Chuckling a bit.
Working years towards his goal, a great being descending, stomping on his efforts. A man desperately fighting on his own, unable to breakthrough towards a brighter tomorrow. An offer towards him, a deal slashing away at his pride. Choosing to swallow his disgust, agreeing to the Tyrant's offer.
"I must say though, I am a bit disappointed that Valor was so weak. I guess that's how evolution goes, the weaker ones are eventually made obsolete." Smiling a bit.
Stolen novel; please report.
"You're right, he was great back then. Truly a god with the fiercest tactics, but that time is long over..." Elec sadly looking away.
An entity standing at the top long ago, wrapping others in his might. An individual commanding the battlefield, breaking down his many obstacles. A time no longer there, washing him away in the endless waves.
"Your time is over, Valor. You should live your current life and do so well, don't worry about me..." The man lowering his head.
Laughters ringing in his mind, two joyously proceeding in the older days. Both believing in their path, wishing to achieve a new actuality together. Elec standing alone in the abyss, shadowy chains binding him.
Shortly hearing the alarm, the area rapidly flashing red. Xea pulling up the projector, seeing the deity freezing over the courtyard. Many shattering in his icy prison, leaving behind a gentle mist.
"Why...? Why did you come back?" the man's confusion.
"He might not be powerful anymore, but he still carries his resolve from long ago. Very well, I shall entertain him. Elec, head down and kill the once supreme god." Xea resting the outer part of his hand on his cheek.
"You can't be serious!" Elec alarmingly turning to the Tyrant.
"The deal is off since he is here, now get to it before I get angry." Glaring at the man.
"Dammit Valor, you know this is hopeless, so why?!" Elec frustratingly lowering his head.
A heart refusing to let those days go, seeking after the small chance at a miracle. Two underneath the setting sun long ago, their wish to share in a blissful reality together. The deity not letting go, bursting through the bottom floor. His sparking icy aura, freezing the land around him.
"You must have a death wish, coming in here in that state." A man in thick black armor in front the stairs.
"No time to get a new set, which is fine, I don't need it." Aiming his katana backwards.
His slow movements from left to right, steadily spilling his energy. Overwhelming the system, solidifying the area in ice. Quickly bursting forward, slicing down at his foe.
These two pressing against one another, his target's harshly flowing negative energy. A massive dark sword forming from the malice above, soon descending on the god. Valor increasing his speed, rushing out the way. Watching the force collide below, piercing a hole through the floor.
"You will have to try harder than this." The knight slamming his blade into the deity's back.
Blood splashing in the distance, the god enduring its crushing force. Immediately ducking, narrowly avoiding a strike to the head. Flipping over his enemy, glaring down from the air. His spreading icy energy, hastily rushing below.
Crashing his katana through his enemy, instantly reacting the force in the area, freezing them solid. Shortly standing straight, calmly sheathing his blade. The shattering ice, Valor looking back to his opponent lifelessly on the floor.
"If I cannot win with strength, I will simply have to push forward my tactics." Valor walking towards the stairs.
An entity not stopping, racing down the black abyss. His eye on his friend, screaming out to them. Those approaching shadows, his unrestful vision on them. Keeping his eye on his goal, remembering their wish. Making his way to the mid floor, soon standing before Elec.
"Elec, we can succeed like the many times we had done so in the past. Please, won't you give it another chance?" the deity pleading to them.
"That is the thing Valor, it is in the past. There is no hope, and I have my world to protect." Lowering his head.
"We can do so together. Our promise, our wish, it can become a reality." Valor stepping forward, extending his hand to his friend.
"No, it cannot. Why did you come back? You barely made it out alive from Xea!" Elec depressingly looking at his companion.
A man living many years, falling deeper into his black heart. A dream getting further away with each passing day, his hope shattering into pieces. A god still believing, refusing to quietly remain. His desire to reach his friend, evading the shadowy hands in the abyss.
"There is a line from my wife that has seen us through the hardest times. 'There is light in the deepest of darkness'. No matter how grim a situation is, there is still a way." Valor's fist to his chest.
"Light in the deepest of darkness...no, there is no such thing." Shaking his head in refusal.
"I'm still here ain't I? That has to be some proof." The deity's slight smile at his friend.
"Maybe, but I have my world to protect, sorry..." Elec sadly aiming his katars at his companion.
