Victims in the dusk, monsters lurking in the shadows. Their presence underneath the bleeding moon, the echoing streets. Bats flying across, smaller creatures running along. Fiends walking in the dusk, some devouring their own.
Ava eventually finding herself back home, her distant mood in her room, wearing a black nightgown. Her uncertainty on the earlier events, sitting down on her bed. Moving aside the blind, her eyes on the roaming enemies. Shortly closing it, her vision a bit away.
"I want to trust Dabria, but it is difficult given what happened. Every time I venture out, there are even more questions that turn up..." Unease from her.
Trust no one huh...I cannot be certain of this. Yet, what I witnessed tonight does fall in line with her statement. In the least, I should keep an eye on Dabria...
Lying down on the bed, her head on her pillow. Ava looking to the ceiling, thinking on her experiences. Horrors after the setting sun, her strange friend creating more mysteries. Closing her vision, steadily falling asleep.
Hours going by, finding herself in a lonely abyss. A light shining in the darkness, Ava turning in the direction. Her gaze on Dabria, the person's back facing her, holding their hands to their chest. Shortly turning to the maiden, sadly looking to them.
"We have been away from each other for a long time, I suppose it is normal you might not trust me..." Dabria biting her lower lip, her eyes below.
"We only recently met. Can you please tell me what you mean...?" Ava gripping her upper arm, her vision a bit to her side.
"There is a limit on what I can say, but do you at least feel any familiarity?" the girl's mild voice to the maiden.
I thought about her words, and whenever I am around her. I feel more at ease, despite what I discover...
"Yeah, I am not sure why. Though, it is like we have been close for a while." The young woman looking to the lavender one.
A heart from distant time, two before one another after a long time. Memories eluding the maiden, yet these strong feelings continuously burning within her. Dabria walking up to Ava, holding their hands in her own.
Her soft smile, closing her eyes. A person steadily returning, heading along their direction. Embracing the young woman, soon opening her vision. The maiden wrapping her arms around the individual, these warm sentiments to her.
"That makes me happy. Ava, the next location will be the park." Dabria's soft voice.
"The park? What will happen there?" moving to arms length.
"An encounter that will bring you closer to your goal." Stepping away from the young woman.
A sister searching for her younger brother, someone traversing the terrors in the dusk. An innocent person in front of her, that girl only able to say little.
The thickening darkness, shadowy hands spilling out. Ava's eyes from one end to the next, shortly looking ahead. Dabria hands to her chest, those arms grabbing her. Pulling her away, her sounding voice to the maiden.
"Ava!" the girl reaching for her.
"Hold on! I am coming!" the young woman's hand to her friend.
Racing to her companion, those flowing hands gripping Ava's feet. Her unease at them below, forcing against her restraints. Shadows binding her arms, her attention to the screaming girl.
Calling out to her, soon witnessing a light leaving the girl's body. This piercing energy, shattering the darkness. Dabria soon standing there, her hand to her chest.
"I cannot stay any longer, until next time. I will keep waiting for you, Ava." Her faint smile to the person.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
"Waiting for me? But where?!" the maiden's desperate voice.
Her eyes on the fading person, the young woman shortly alone in the abyss. Falling to her knees, lowering her head. Sentiments lingering within her, Ava trying to connect the pieces. Pounding against the ground, screaming out above.
Immediately sitting up in bed, the maiden drenching in cold sweat. Her heavily pounding heart, catching her breath. Gripping the side of her head, slightly looking away.
Another nightmare, as usual. Though, I will put my trust in Dabria...
An unusual dream gripping at the maiden, questions weighing on her mind. Thinking on the previous night, a person's vision not the same. Ava shaking inside, wondering on the discrepancies.
Shortly readying herself for the day ahead, dressing in a black coat reaching down. Her jeans the same, a plain shirt on her. The young woman stepping outside, her companion waiting there. The girl's bright smile, that warm sun shining down on them.
"Morning! Want to head off together again?" Dabria curiously pressing her index finger against her cheek.
"I...do not mind, but can you answer a small question first?" Ava slightly moving aside her hair.
"Sure, anyway I can help." The lavender one holding her hands behind her back.
I felt guilty for this, but I'd be nagged with this question all day if I did not do so now...
Unable to ignore the previous night, her friend's behavior clawing away at her. Horror around every corner, never stopping cruelty. An innocent one in the terror, someone shining along a dark road.
The maiden's terrible experiences, a person turning over every rock. Everything ending upon her demise, her wish to save her brother.
"Sera's home, what did you like about it? Any defining features?" Ava folding her arms.
"Hmm...it was quite neat. Those crimson carpets were on a better quality as well, then the smaller points like the pictures. The air was nice, and the dedication to books." Dabria pressing her fingers together.
It was as I suspected, what she sees and what Sera and I see are different. No matter, I do not feel danger from her, but rather warmth. I will just have to figure this out later...
"Oh...yeah, I thought the same as well." Ava faintly smiling.
"Right? I should ask her for some tips later on." Dabria's bright grin.
Secrets in the shadows, Inai with two sides. A place with life and ruin, these happenings weighing on the maiden's mind. Discrepancies with her friend, these uneasy feelings within her.
Thinking on the nightmare, a familiar encounter with another. The young woman playing along, looking to the animals running about, hearing the chirping from birds.
Both feeling the gentle breeze, the girl running up to Ava's side, looping her arm around their own. Joy from the hazel one, pulling her companion onward.
Sadness filling me, this girl leading the way. I did not resist, since I wanted to believe in the best...
Two in the abyss, one heading further into its depths, another looking on from afar. A sister feverishly persisting, pushing against the harsh tides.
Seeking out one to her heart, her strange encounters in a town. A familiar warmth with another, both moving along the sidewalk.
Ava glancing in Dabria's direction, lending an ear to their excitement, answering now and then. Eventually finding themselves at the school, whispering amongst the students. The two shortly in the hallway, walking up to a few.
"Hey Lily, you seen Sasha? It isn't really like her to miss a day." Dabria's finger to her chin.
"Not today, I'm worried. Not even a message from her..." The student looking down.
There was an air of sadness, like an important part of their lives being ripped away from them. With friends like these, the sensible thing to do would be to get a message out to one of them. Still, how are they able to do that? I can't even use my phone properly...
Feeling their sorrows, these ill emotions within the maiden. A piercing sentiment inside of her, resting her hand on her chest. Her uncertainty on those feelings, yet something guiding her along her road.
Shortly making her decision, Ava moving forward a bit. A person able to investigate, someone willing to give her aid.
"I have the time, why not give me a list of locations she visits? Including her home. Then I can go and look into each of them." Ava folding her arms.
"Really? If you find anything, let us know immediately." Lily's serious eyes, her hand to her chest.
"I will." The maiden assuring her.
"I will help look as well, Sasha is one of my close friends. Missing one day of school isn't going to be the end of the world..." Dabria's worrisome voice.
I felt like I should have put my foot down here, but I understood her concern. Either way, it should go more smoothly with her.
A young woman meeting a few, these individuals warmly accepting her. The maiden wishing to aid them, to give back a bit to them. Something familiar gripping at her, these swirling sentiments within her.
Lily writing down some locations, soon handing it to Ava. The person glancing to it, shortly folding the paper, placing it in her side pocket.
"It is likely an illness, let us stay positive. And in the mean time of positivity, this is a once in a life time opportunity for us to be together Ava." Dabria blushing a bit, grinning at the possibilities, her hand on her cheek.
"I hope you mean that in a friendly way." Ava sighing in uncertainty, her hand on the side of her head.
"Yes, a friendly way." The slightly turning girl, her teasing movement.
